They both seem similar in a way and I have a feeling that they'd both be worth watching as they sort of also compliment each other in a way so this is pretty much a gut feeling sort of recommendation, might not be for everyone but some of my friends feel the same =3

S-CRY-ed incorporates many themes in the standard action anime field. If you like the fighting and superpowers concept in Bleach you will like s-CRY-ed. There is an outcast main character with amazing abilities who makes friends as the series progresses, which both animes have in common. The main characters alter power is similar to Chad's in Bleach. While s-CRY-ed works off of the concept of the lost ground, somewhat seoerating it from reality, the incorporation of monitary concepts is applied. The addition of poverty and wealth concepts is relied on as an explanation for many actions, and thus resulting in a more realistic feel. I watched one episode of this anime when I was younger and instantly loved it, but never knew what it was called. s-CRY-ed is an action packed show with an excellent plot and character development.

Sword of the Stranger

Sword of the Stranger

Kotarou is a brash young orphan in war-torn Japan, on the run from mysterious pursuers with Tobimaru, his faithful canine companion. Forced by circumstance to work together for survival, the unlikely duo forge a tenuous friendship that is threatened all too soon when Kotarou's pursuers thrust the two into a dizzying whorl of clashing ambitions between men both big and small. Will the stranger manage to overcome his past and save them both from peril with his blade?

This recommendation is to a lesser extent... if you have seen Sword of the Stranger and enjoyed the fight scenes near the end you may enjoy the long fight scenes in Bleach. Although the fights in Sword of the Stranger are based in a more realistic world, the two medias have similar fight feels. If you are watching Bleach and enjoy the fights and would like to see some great animation and realist fight ic scenes then Sword of the Stranger is highly recommended for you.

Pandora Hearts

Pandora Hearts

On the eve of nobleman Oz Bezarius's fifteenth birthday, he and his loved ones gather to celebrate in a coming-of-age ceremony. But after Oz steps under a long-stopped clock and the hands finally move once more - thus fulfilling a mysterious prophecy - he is violently thrown into the legendary prison known as the Abyss by three cloaked intruders. Existing in another dimension, the Abyss is home to lifeforms born within its walls known as Chains; these beings can only live in the real world if they make contracts with humans, binding their power to the person's body. However, there's a catch - in time, the human will be overcome by the Chain's power and then thrown into the deepest level of the Abyss. When Oz wakes up in the Abyss he is quickly attacked by hungry Chains, only to be saved by one named Alice - a Chain who appeared just before he was thrown into the prison. Together, the two make a contract and return to the real world, where they are enlisted into the Pandora organization - a group researching both the Abyss and the trio that threw Oz into it.  Along with members of Pandora, the duo searches to find Alice's lost memory fragments that are scattered throughout the world, to discover the secrets of the Abyss, and to determine if there's a way their contract can be broken without killing either Oz or Alice.

Shikibane Hime is basically Bleach with guns. Both series are about a secret supernatural society who fight ghosts. Shikabane Hime is a bit more gory but if you find the length of the Bleach series daunting but still want the same basic plot, I highly recommend the Shikebane Hime series, likewise if you've loved AKA and want more, give Bleach a go.

MalteseFalcon MalteseFalcon says...

Bleach and Project ARMS remind me of each other on an almost superficial level. Each series contains individuals who kinda find out they have special abilities, and because of these special abilities end up having to fight. In the course of each series, the characters grow more and more powerful as they overcome stronger and stronger opponents. Needless to say, there is a lot of fighting.

And you know, sometimes you just need a series with good fight scenes and a decent plot to back it up. Both Bleach and Project ARMS deliver on this formula. If you liked one I am sure you will like the other.

Tears to Tiara

Tears to Tiara

Unfortunately for her, she's also exactly the sort of maiden who is needed as a sacrifice to wake the Demon King Arawn from his thousand-year slumber and is soon kidnapped for this very purpose. However, when Arawn is summoned, he decides to spare Rhiannon's life, instead killing her captor and freeing her from mind control. Taken with his kindness, Rhiannon immediately decides to marry the Demon King, making him the new village chief. All of this is bad news for Rhiannon's protective but hot-headed brother Arthur, who must now pledge his knightly service to his new Lord, Arawn. Together the three of them must journey and together they must fight, encountering new friends and new foes along the way.

Well if you like Tears to Tiara then you are going to love bleach since its one of the best and longest out there. They are both sword users and both have many battles. While in bleach they fight monsters or human looking monsters, Tears to Tiara is full on human on human action, if you count fairies and elves human. They both include great battles and magic.
