LordVegita LordVegita says...

the main characters in both series have very strong personalities that bring about the best of the other characters and make them do things that they wouldn't have if they hadn't met them. both series include lots of action with good story and plot in the different arcs of the story.

spiderj82 spiderj82 says...

HIGH intense action, massive magical powers and wonderful art (most of the time...) both these series are masterful succesors to the Dragonball Z formula. Though these two series are extremely more intelligent and better written than DBZ. If you cant see a resemblance between Naruto and Ichigo... I give up.

Izmo Izmo says...

Do you like anime that contain some nice fighting scenes? Do you hate it when the fighting seems to become a purpose in itself, like in for instance DBZ? Do you like anime with well fleshed-out characters with plenty of personality? Do you like it when the physical fights are a reflection of the emotional and ideological struggles of said characters? If you found yourself answering "Yes" to most of these questions, then you're likely to enjoy both "Bleach" and "Naruto".

freakzilla freakzilla says...

Hardcore fights for everyone! Though with a story, enjoy! :D What I mean to say is that Bleach has everything Naruto has, and more. It's already a fact that everyone that watches one of these also watches the other, so don't be left out.

Both are long running shows that contain ongoing plots with plenty of action scences. They both have their own humourous parts in addition to the more serious plot lines

Naruto is one of my favorite anime, as is Bleach. If you liked all of the action in Bleach then I'm pretty sure that you'll like Naruto too.

Bleach and Naruto are similar in terms of humour mixed with action. Good character development and plot lines can be found in each. There is also a fantastical quality in Naruto as the ninja possess a power not available to normal humans. Naruto, like Ichigo, has a great power which can be uncontrollable.

xaynie xaynie says...

In Naruto, you find coming of age teens of varying personalities with specialized techniques in their ninja skills. In Bleach, you find many shinigami of different ranks with unique types of Zanpakuto as well as magical powers. Both stories have complex and well developed plots. The main characters have a lot in common aside from the blonde hair and the stubborn attitude. The biggest ideal they both share is that they both fight for something they want to protect and live their life the way the intend it to, regardless of what others say, regardless of opposing forces, and will put their life at stake to uphold that ideal.

Grv Grv says...

Both Naruto and Bleach are superpower shounen series with a progressive plot and viable bad guys. Following the day-to-day life of the male leads, both series show the development of the weak character into a strong and formidable force to face-off against their foes. Both series are also manga-based.

Bleach and Naruto worlds are different, but the plot is the same: a boy with a sad childhood wants to show that he's unique and special...

Both Naruto and Bleach have strong characters, action, and stories that have episodes that keep you coming back for more. If you like action anime with a great story and humor, these are two shows for you.

jmulderscully jmulderscully says...

Both Bleach and Naruto devote a lot of time to fights/battles and just plain action. But, being female, I needed a little more out of my anime than some punching and slashing. When I first began watching these shows, I was so grateful to find that both of these anime have deep and complex stories that serve to hook you right from the start. Both shows also have a great deal of comedy and both Naruto (from Naruto) and Ichigo (from Bleach) share a common quality in that they are having to fight their own internal struggles (albeit Naruto's is more tangible= nine-tailed fox spirit) while trying to protect those dear to them. Both shows have also produced a large number of episodes (Naruto well above 200 and Bleach well above 130). After watching so many episodes, and traveling along with each main character on their respective journeys, you cannot help but become attached to them, to their cause, and to the worlds in which they reside.

trajector trajector says...

Bleach and Naruto are more or less the same thing except instead of the soul reapers in Bleach it's ninjas in Naruto. Both anime are basically superpower and fighting type anime, with a main character who keeps getting stronger and stronger to persevere against all obstacles. Also, in both anime the main character has a close group of friends who usually come close but never surpass the main character in strength. So if you liked the action and story of one of them then the other is an obvious choice.

TrilightDiviner TrilightDiviner says...

Naruto has many similar qualities as Bleach. Each has a main character with a "hidden" godlike potential; each story also has quaint romantic subplots that are the cause of comedic moments, and will leave you wondering who ends up with who. Both anime focus around characters who are protecting their loved ones, and create a unique system of fighting. When important battles take place, there is always an emotional and moral meaning that will touch your heart. In the end, you're left with a productive feeling after watching both.

DhakRe DhakRe says...

Both Naruto and Bleach share the same kind of feeling and have lots of action, and they both are top quality! And they have aired for a pretty long time, so there are many episodes too. :D

Kagekiba Kagekiba says...

Both Bleach and Naruto are about a 'clumsy' underdog who rises up to protect his friends, and both anime have funny and serious sides to them.

MeloColi MeloColi says...

Bleach and Naruto are both long anime with a lot of action and comedy. Bleach has swords and Naruto has special techniques, but they both give you the same feeling. If you liked Bleach or Naruto then you'll also like the other one.

Yume Yume says...

Both Bleach and Naruto are about fighting and kicking bad guys' butts. The only difference is that Naruto has ninja and Bleach has more samurai, but in general they are pretty much alike.

Akhiv Akhiv says...

Naruto is a boy with pure determination and holds a similar position to Ichigo in his quest to become more powerful. The series is full of action with good comedy thrown in from every angle, and every Bleach fan will be able to appreciate it.

icejamez icejamez says...

Both Naruto and Bleach are large and popular mainstream shounen anime. They have lots of action, a unique idea, a cool wide range of characters, a bit of comedy mixed in, and the odd element of romance. They are always about saving the world, protecting this, proving that, fighting this, and training. If you liked one, you should give the other a shot.

vick01 vick01 says...

In both Naruto and Bleach, the main character has a hidden power that makes him stand out above all of the other characters. Both anime have great story lines that draw you into them and you cannot wait for the next episode. If you like either series you will like the other.

Weeqay Weeqay says...

Both Naruto and Bleach share great fights with intriguing, genuine characters and fine animation. In addition to that, both share the same humor and provide enough episodes to ensure your addiction for a long time.

Hyorinshiro Hyorinshiro says...

Naruto and Bleach are awesome. They revolve around a young boy who must struggle with his losses and find a place for himself in the world. Both boys are clueless when it comes to love - each has a girl who likes them, but is too dense to notice! The stories do not revolve around love, but around the fight between good and evil. Each character must travel to keep his home and life safe, and fight for the greater good of humankind.

crimsoneyes crimsoneyes says...

Ichigo and Naruto both have a burning passion to protect their dreams. In a way the two characters are very similar. The two anime are both very long and are still ongoing at the time of this recommendation (well, Naruto Shippuden is, not Naruto). Both have an obvious good and bad side but sometimes the line between good and evil gets smudged and it's up to the main characters of the series to reveal the line so that the other characters can see clearly what's going on.

CaptainDHS CaptainDHS says...

Both Naruto and Bleach have wonderful animation, memorable characters, and some of the best fight scenes in anime. To top it off, both shows have the ability to make you cry and laugh.

batman900 batman900 says...

Both have the same concept of training to increase strength and protect friends. Bleach has everything Naruto has, good story, good character development, all in all almost anybody who likes Naruto will like Bleach.

KThxBye KThxBye says...

Naruto and Bleach are two vastly different animes, yet at the same time they are amazingly similar. Both series are about a boy with vast powers that at times they don't understand, looming in the background and threatening to overtake them if they don't gain control. Though the plots start a bit slow, each soon dives head first into action through story arcs that build and affect the character development. The characters are easy to relate to and very human, plus they all have emotions and their own uniqueness.

Another trait that both share is the comedic aspect that is often present. You can sometimes find yourself exhaling liquid because you took a drink at the wrong time. Both are serious at the right times and full of stunning plot twists and turns that will make you smile, scream, laugh, and cry. The fight scenes are amazing, full of action, and unique in every battle. If you enjoyed one, then you will most definitely enjoy the other.

EternalLight EternalLight says...

Both series are fast-paced, action-packed and bursting with comedy. So if you like a good storyline, loveable characters and a good laugh, you'll definitely this show.

Calamity Calamity says...

Each series is a shonen anime, originally targeted towards a young male audience. Similar in many respects, the growth of both Naruto and Ichigo is constant yet filled with the occasional flux. Both are teenagers thrust into a world of super powered enemies that would see not only themselves, but all they love destroyed and reduced to nothing. Two young boys that fight for those they love against impossible odds.

tlitnu tlitnu says...

Both series are shonen, with a young hero on an initiatic quest in a fantasy world. Both features lots of action and badass bad guys.

Both of these series have an "action" kind of mood. They both have a lot of talking which hooks viewers into watching more even though not much has happened. If you like slow paced anime with a lot a fighting like bleach, Naruto is a good show to watch, as both Anime's episode progression almost mirrors each other.

DystopianPancake DystopianPancake says...

Naruto and Bleach are pretty much the same. Both are about friendship, getting stronger, pursuing your dreams. Both have a little love arcs. And both have long, sometimes too long, battles.

Gaidin Gaidin says...

nean123 nean123 says...

Naruto and Bleach are alike in multiple ways. Characterization is great, action is constant, storyline still exists, and the show goes on for a long time so you're sure to have something to watch for a long time. Bleach and Naruto share so much that the transition from one to the other will be easy. If you liked Bleach, you'd like Naruto. If you liked Naruto, you'd like Bleach.

punisheru punisheru says...

Both series are in a way about two boys who gradually discover the powers they have and that they don't have the faith they'd hope to have.

For example, Naruto discovers in time that he has the Nine-Tail Fox sealed inside him and Ichigo discovers he has Death god powers of his own.

So, if you liked Naruto because of his will to become Hokage you'll probably like Bleach too for Ichigo who wants to help everyone in the end. Or if you liked Bleach then you should watch Naruto too.

Niw Niw says...

Both being extremely popular shounen action series with the central themes of becoming stronger in order to be able to protect one's friends and the importance of inner strength, Naruto and Bleach are like two peas in a pod. Also, both shows offer frequent comical reliefs to make sure the atmosphere doesn't get dead-serious. It would be very surprising if you liked one but hated the other.

Although set in different words, those two stories are basically the same: group of friends (with obvious main character), who are some highly skilled fighters, have many troubles and work to do in order to protect themselves and those close to them. Many enemies will appears, many tears will be cried out of sadness or joy, while you will follow them in their every day life as well as important missions.

JSai JSai says...

If you like Bleach, you are definitely bound to be in love with Naruto as well. The main character of both stories have similar reckless personalites as well as beliefs.

The main theme of the two anime seems to be the same again which is more or less, friendship and having enough stength to protect.

Both are action packed and involves heavy fight scenes. It also makes the watchers wonder if there is, or could possibly be, any romance between characters.

Naruto and Bleach. Peanut Butter and Jelly. Those two pairs are one in the same. You simply can't watch One without the other. They're so similar, yet so alike. Both Naruto and Ichigo have that "I'm not givin up until I (insert goal here)" attitude. Both of these anime also tecach you valuble life lessons, which you may have noticed if you already watch one. The most important being "If you care about something/someone Protect it no matter what". Sentimental stuff aside, both shows are packed with action, though two different types of action, they balance eachother out nicely. Among the various action scenes in each series, there's some nice comedy threaded into both. They do have their differences, such as Naruto is a Ninja and Ichigo is a Shinigami leaning more towards the end of Samurai. Also, both anime have the same type of decisive conflicts involved to keep you on your toes as well as various story plots that are just long enough to get the point but not be bored. Honestly now, would you eat a Jelly Sandwich with no Peanut butter? Of corse not! Thats silly. The same goes for watching both Bleach and Naruto.

XanderCage XanderCage says...

Both of the series contain a seemingly clueless hero. One has the dream of becoming stronger to protect his friends, and loved ones, the other has a dream of becoming the worlds greatest ninja. Little do they know, however, their journey has only just begun. After completeing part of their goals, and living a fraction of their dreams, the two must now defend the world that they have both come to know and live as a pair of menacing bad guys begin to wreak their towns, dreams, and utlimately, their bodies.

werehuntress werehuntress says...

Both series have the typical brash, energetic and wild protagonist who get progressively insanely powerful and have to save the world from various maniacal villains.

Michichan Michichan says...

Both Naruto and Ichigo have very agressive and courageous personalities and both anime have pretty intense action scenes, with humor intertwined.

However, Beware! If you loved Bleach's story but hated the fillers, Naruto is not much better. You will encounter a lot of fillers towards the end of the series.

CrazyAce01 CrazyAce01 says...

Naruto and Bleach both have a sort of misfit/social outcast as a main character.  Ichigo, Bleach's lead, and Naruto are very straightforward, run n' gun type of guys that knock down buildings and ask questions later.  Despite being bullheaded, they can also be surprisingly clever when they put their mind to it.

Naruto and Bleach both touch on the similar message of gaining power to protect the people that one cares about and to gain acceptance in a sometimes cold world.  They have a similar story structure that involves the characters working hard to gain strength and become skilled fighters out of nessecity, as well as dealing with the responsibility that follows gaining such strength.

If you liked one, you will certainly like the other.

StardustAngel StardustAngel says...

Both series provide you with similar characters, who start off as newbies and as they make friends, enemies and fight their ways through, they realize they have amazing potential and learn what friendship really means! In both Bleach and Naruto, you'll harness action till you drop and every time you are about to watch anime, you won't be able to choose between the two!

Bleach and Naruto both are about becoming stronger to protect the people that the main character cares about. These shounen animes have the same basic premis. A group of young specially skilled heroes in search of adventure and to defeat the evil that threatens the greater good around them. Besides the fact that both of them are shounen and have been running for a long time now, both serieses have similar stories where both talk about abnormal powers and in both the main character is a "good for nothing but fights" idiot type of character who actually has a warm heart and keeps helping those in need. In addition, in both serieses the main character have great intolerable power hidden inside. With all these similarities I'm pretty sure that if you liked one of them you'll like the other ^^

They don't call either of these one of the BIG THREE for nothing! Both are standard shonen. Power-ups, calling out their attacks, different organizations threatening the main character and his loved ones because of their evil intentions. Both Naruto and Ichigo also have to combat with an inner evil inside them, and hopefully through training and perserverance, harness that evil energy and use it for good.Plus there's barrels-full of characters coming at you left and right, each with their own unique style, hairstyles, mannerisms, attacks, etc. Enough that you'll find at least one character to love and at least one to despise for some reason or another. If you like "never-give-up" and "believe-in-yourself-and-your-friends-to-make-it-to-the-end" mentality and code of honor schtick that comes with many shonen animes, then watch both.

MFM MFM says...

Both main characters have power and a strong willed mind. Both seem to never give up no matter the circunstances and fight mainly for friends. Both develop their powers through out the anime as they keep training and fighting. One as a substitute shinigami and the other one as a ninja.

However, I think Naruto develops more as a character than Ichigo. If you've watched one you must watch the other.

JDizzle3511 JDizzle3511 says...

weylander weylander says...

To make long story short they have the same feeling. Great animes both. If you've seen one, you cannot dislike the other.

Both main characters have a light hair color (blond (yellow) for Naruto, orange for Ichigo), even though the animes are not named each after the main character, they have similar construction of the story , they both involve a teenage boy which has great superpowers with which will save the world from threats; they both are accompanied by great friends which actually are secondary characters in the story, the plot is taking plot in fantastic worlds ( Soul Society - Bleach, Konoha and such - Naruto, even though there is the Kamakura town where a part of the story will take place in Bleach). Also the story involves conflicts which threatens the wolrd in which the main character lives and must defend. There are also humorous situations which will ease the developping plots.

Sianeka Sianeka says...

Both anime are epic length action adventure stories with many episodes and multiple story arcs.  Some folks don't like the "filler" episodes between story arcs as they don't advance the plot but such fluff is inevitable when dealing with any series of this length, and much of it is fun pointlessness!

If you like following the growth of a hero and his friends, and love to share their journey and adventures along the way, these anime offer plenty of fighting action, friendship development and continuous storylines to help you bond with and get to know their characters and world.

The Shounen genre of Naruto and Bleach are similar in some ways. Both protagonists were overpowered, the action scenes were hype and lit. But, unlike Naruto who was discriminated in his village, the protagonist in Bleach was just a normal high schooler before he starts discovering his path and powers. I personally loved these two animes, it is a no wonder they were the top 3 during the second generation.

Two of the three Shounen Gods of their era. It was a simpler time, but a good time for some time. A daunting undertaking for sure, but by finishing one, you've proven that you are a person of conviction and possibly masochism. Then why not the other? Classic shounen at its questionable near-finest.

Both of the protagonists, Ichigo and Naruto, are impassioned young people fighting in collaboration with an extreme, authoritative militaristic government, with static characterization, in the hopes that their values will change supposed do-badders for the better.

Their styles are extremely similar, though Bleach has more paranormal superpower-type swordplay/weaponry, and Naruto more preternatural, ninja, magic-involved fights and hand-to-hand combat.

Naruto Shippuuden and Bleach are perfect complementary series. When one is more serious, the other is more fun; and when the other becomes more serious, the other becomes less serious. These two fit together well because of that.

Naruto and Bleach are must-see anime. In both anime the main character has a strong urge and need to improve himself and to become the strongest to protect the people around him.

Both Bleach and Naruto have great action, exciting plots, and intriguing characters that draw you in with almost incredible ease. They easily balance drama and humour, and can go from serious one moment to hilarious the next. While there is much debate as to which is better, I say simply this: watch both! They're similar enough that if you like one you'll certainly like the other, and yet they are still very different in some ways. If you've watched one and liked it, make sure not to miss out on the other one. You may find you like it just as much or more.

Both Bleach and Naruto have interesting characters, that are very important to the story. Both Ichigo and Naruto, the two protaganists rely very much on their friendships to get strength. Mozuri Mozuri says...

First of all, both series feature main characters with spiked hair so it would be impossible to not like the other. Secondly they both use action as a substitute for plot, so there are no confusing elements to the stories. Also both main characters have signature super moves, so that adds a massive cool factor to both shows. Ichigo uses his Jetsubo Tinjbou to drill the heavens, and Naruto uses his Raisingon to kill all grape based devil fruit within a 500 ft radius. Lastly both series go on way longer than anyone would want so even if you get bored of them, there will still be more episodes waiting for you! Never ending fun times await those who watch these shows. If you like one, you will no doubt like the other.

If you like following the growth of a hero and his friends, and love to share their journey and adventures along the way, these anime offer plenty of fighting action, friendship development and continuous storylines to help you bond with and get to know their characters and world.

parasiteodin parasiteodin says...

Shippuden finds Naruto older and more powerful. Great continuation of an already awesome series. Lots of similarities between Naruto and Ichigo, except Ichigo is more reluctant as a hero. Still, both have lots of guts/spirit/heart and I can't imagine being a fan of either and not likeing the other.

Actually I resisted watching Bleach for a while but I was very happy when I finally watched. Definitely check either out...like DBZ but not so linear and with more plot development.

Soul Eater and Bleach share many of the same motifs, for instance, both tell the tale of the protagonist weilding a huge weapon that is a living spirit. Both protagonists also fight for justice while slaying "evil" souls and protecting the innocent. Finally, Bleach and Soul Eater each have a good mix of Action and Drama while keeping a flare for comedy. If you like one, you will like the other.

both anime revolve around the death and after life of humans both are a serious anime but have funny aspects in them which come from secondary character eg kon and black star both stroys revolve around a main character who goes and destroys bad souls useing wepons that have souls

Both shows revolve around the shinigami concept, even though the approach is a bit different.

Nonetheless, they both share a good amount of humour and fight scenes, tied up with a good animation style and decent character development.

redfire389 redfire389 says...

There's the fact that they are both shounen, they are both mainly for men, with lots of awesome fights, perverted scenes, love scenes, funny scenes and a great feeling of great friendship beetween the characters.

If you add to that that they are both about shinigamis(death gods) who kill dark and evil beings and save human and pure beings, the similarity grows up more. And add to that the weapons they use that can transform into bigger ones, and their power grow up through the series, and in soul eater the weapons are being that talk and feel and in bleach some of them are also beings, living beings, so the feeling of fighting togueter the user and the weapon is also a similarity beetween the two animes. You will surely like one if you liked the other

crystalphoenix crystalphoenix says...

Both series are about teenagers with amazing abilities, their main goal to protect people from "corrupted souls" bent on eating human souls. In Bleach soul reapers fight hollows and in Soul Eater meisters fight kishin. In Bleach soul reapers use a zanpakut? and meisters use humans who can change into weapons. In both series the wielder has (well should have) a relationship with his/her weapon. Both series are action packed and funny. The characters also have similar personalities. If you like one you will most likely enjoy the other.

Paralyz3 Paralyz3 says...

Oh, look:

  • Shinigamis
  • Action
  • Comedy
  • Shounen

What does that mean? Well, if you look at it closely it means that both Bleach and Soul Eater are so similar!

These shounen shows have the great action, the best comedy, and cool shinigamis.

Soul Eater tends to be a bit more crazier in what it does. Especially when you look at Death the Kid's perfectionist personality.

Though Bleach is more serious than Soul Eater is, they both are really good shows that are worth watching.

clashkismet clashkismet says...

The reason why you should watch Bleach if you are watching Soul Eater is because there is a common trait in both.  Instead of just showing the good guys always triumphing and the bad guys are blown away, the anime that I have seen a relation to do the exact opposite.  Both anime give the stories of the bad guys as well, and show why the bad guys are motivated to do the 'bad' things that they do.  These anime are not just some bonehead anime that show no flow, ya know?

Adam Adam says...

Easily works both ways. Soul Eater and Bleach both revolve around warriors using weopons, with personalities, to battle evil spirits. There are obviously differences in plot and whatnot, but fans of shounen and action should check out both.

Kuraiken Kuraiken says...

Both anime do share some common points, and the fans of Bleach probably would like Soul Eater a lot and vice-versa. However, Soul Eater approaches from a new drawing style. The point isn't to make the envirnment look realalistic, but more humoristic. But the story can be as rough, exciting and can contain kick-ass swordfights as with Bleach.

Anyway, if you like shinigami, oversized and overpowered blades and a healthy portion of humor, both Soul Eater and Bleach are something for you :o)

sahilms sahilms says...

You'd like both because they are about these shinigami (good guys) who battle demons and witches (bad guys) with a lot of comedy along the way, Although id say bleach has more serious characters than soul eater it makes up with action and soul eater is funny from ep 1! (dont let the cover picture diswade you)

Omurqi Omurqi says...

Soul Eater and Bleach are two shounen series that managed to find a great balance between awesome action, "deeper" themes (for as deep as fantasy shounen gets) and wacky comedy. Both shows involve the same sort of master / weapon understanding, are partly about protecting what's precious and, yes, even have shinigami. If you enjoyed one of these shounen-flicks, make sure to check out the other.

sothis sothis says...

Soul Eater feels a lot more campy and Tim Burton-esque than Bleach, but both have a similar feel and flow regardless. Boys with supernatural powers fight baddies, and both series have a good blend of action and comedy. Like one? Give the other a try.

Verified Verified says...

If you on episode (insert three digit number here) and you are looking for something a little different, Soul Eater is the best transition for you.

Very similar in plot, Soul Eater creates an entire new world that you delve into episode one. As with Bleach, many of the fight scenes in Soul Eater are very interesting with abilities not seen in everyday anime, which is a hard thing to do as time goes on. On another note, something I found in Soul Eater I found lacking in Bleach is a "power scale." Characters grow stronger over time no doubt, but there are definite gaps between strengths and this series never forgets it.

I like the main characters far more in Soul Eater as each sports a unique background. In addition, call me a sucker, but I love loyalty and friendship which is in abundance in Soul Eater. The bond between Technicians and Weapons is special

KittyEmperor KittyEmperor says...

Both Soul Eater and Bleach feature young individuals with supernatural powers who fight these evil beings that prey on the innocent individuals.  With a decent blend of comedy and action both are sure to offer up quite a bit of entertainment.

Chelsae Chelsae says...

These anime are both action/comedy anime, however Bleach is more serious, whilst Soul Eater, especially at the start, takes on the funnier side of things.

They both involve characters that control weapons, which are actually living beings. Although in Soul Eater they take on their human form more often, in Bleach they maintain their weapon form most of the time. These weapons also have special powers such as "Witch Hunter" in Soul Eater or something like "Bankai" in Bleach.

TKTRiseAgainst TKTRiseAgainst says...

Both Bleach and Soul Eater have enough huge similarities for one to like the other but not enough to be clones of each other. Both series have a sort of magical, mystical quality to it. In that both worlds have a sort of magic that many can harness for good or evil. Soul Eater has witches, demonish foes, and the ultimate Kishin, while Bleach's Ichigo has to deal with Hollows and the Arrancar. Both animes center around lots of showdowns and fights and a never-give-up spirit that helps the heroes when it seems that they're down for the count. Recommended just for that.

Closedbookeyes Closedbookeyes says...

They relate because they both are trying to save other souls, or people, from evil, and they both have something to do with souls. Either their alive or dead, they won't hesitate to still save the soul or other people around from the danger. They both have strong and weak enemies to fight, but won't back down unless they can't fight any longer, then come back because they refuse to just give up, the fights not over until they win. I feel like the relation of them could go both ways, givin the fact that they both save others from monsters. The only two differences i see is Ichigo saves souls (people who's dead already) and soul and company saves people in general. The last difference i see is in Bleach, you can't see the monster unless your dead, or a soul reaper, but in soul eater, all, even the living, can see the monster.

In both Bleach and Yu Yu Hakusho, the hero started off somewhat unwillingly doing the job. Both have a strong relationship between the lead character and his link to the "other world". And both take their job VERY seriously.

The worlds of Bleach and Yu Yu Hakusho are pretty similar. Both worlds feature a "heaven" and "hell", and a teenage main character who can both see (and fight) spirits heard of by normal humans.

If you liked the action packed fights and the ever-increasing amount of powerful enemies in Bleach, chances are you will also like them in Yu Yu Hakusho.

abbyz44 abbyz44 says...

Yu Yu Hakusho in a lot of ways is like Bleach. Both main characters have slight anger problems, both have to fight to keep their loved ones safe and both have to go to a different world and battle their demons.

andyasian andyasian says...

Bleach centers around a kid who is negative towards others, but gradually gains friends he trusts and would glady give his life for. Yusuke is quite similar in that aspect. Also, they both gain some unworldly power and are able to become stronger at a rate that surpasses all others. They both fight for what they believe in and will never leave anyone behind.

The fighting is nearly the same except Bleach seems to have more thought out fighting. They both have a comedic side but get very serious during fights. They have similar plots as Yusuke begins fighting demons and Ichigo begins by fighting hollows. If you like Yu Yu Hakusho, I'm sure you would like Bleach.

Animesgirl Animesgirl says...

They story lines of both also progress fairly fast and immerse you in the story. Oh, and you can't forget the awesome action scenes in both that will hook you.

Sakubato Sakubato says...

Yusuke and Ichigo are so similar; they must have grown up as neighbors. Both are rebellious (and at times, violent), and are feared by the "passerby" and admired by those who put in the effort to know them. During a near death episode, they are introduced to a supernatural world, invisible to the average citizen. For me, the starting premise for both shows was kind of boring, and they both blossomed into respectable shows once they lost the actual "ghost hunting" and got to fighting with characters of equal or greater ability.

Bleach and Yu Yu Hakusho both involve a young male teenage lead that is an outcast and not understood. These characters gain spiritual powers due to a strange event, and gain new friends who better understand them.

Sorafiredemon Sorafiredemon says...

Because I like the show and they are sort of similar, in a way. They both have to do with spirits, the undead and such.

CrazyAce01 CrazyAce01 says...

Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach are stunningly similar. Yu Yu Hakusho is the classic shonen, and Bleach is almost a modernized, high-adrenaline version of YYH.

Both male leads are bullheaded and more or less social outcasts, but end up being saddled with responsibilities they never wanted.  However, their determined additudes make them extremely good at what they do and they both end up taking their jobs very seriously.

As each series progresses, the character find the need to increase their strength to protect the people they care about and fight the forces of evil.  Using their iron wills, the continue to struggle forawrd no matter the seeminly impossible obstacles that await them. They both have to deal with the responsibility that comes from weilding strong powers once they do attain them.

A good supporting cast also surrounds each major character in both series, providing motivation, friendship, and a slew of interesting powers.  Both series also have highly detailed Heaven "organizations" that the main characters end up working for.

I'd go on, but there is little point.  YYH does show its age, but if you are a big fan of Bleach you should go and watch the old classic and learn your roots.  If you enjoyed YYH, then Bleach will blow you away.

Kiyohime Kiyohime says...

Both anime have a main male character who start off as a normal high school/junior high student when something happens to make them become more physically and "magically" inclined. They learn about powers they possess and are both forced to fight monsters. Plenty of action, plenty of comedy to lessen the seriousness, and plenty of paranormal characters are introduced to add to the anime and the awesome fighting scenes. Bleach is ALOT longer than Yu Yu Hakusho, and I would say better drawn, but are action packed comedies worth watching.

Bleach09 Bleach09 says...

in both animes the main characters learn of a whole different world separate but part of the world they are used to.  When they learn of these worlds they are pulled into the world of supernaturalism and are employed by the superiors of the worlds.  The characters are thus pulled into the disputes and fights of thee worlds all the while fighting for their lives because of the reputation they've achieved through their jobs.

Both of these anime deal with teenagers who come into having "special powers" and decide to use them to protect those closest to him. The Only bad part of the show was Kuwabara a bit of a stupid idiot I'd have to say that doesnt belong in the show however if you can get past him you should love this show.

Both Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach share common traits both are Shounen and Action based animes, the two main characters Yusuke Urameshi and Ichigo Kurosaki are both considered to be delinquents but deep down they have a strong sense of justice. Both shows have alternate worlds and characters that have a strong sense of the supernatural, both have spiritual powers (Reiatsu). Both animes they save the world from the depths of the evil and corrupt, and are joined by great friends.

InuYasha

InuYasha

Kagome is a normal high school girl who falls into a well, transporting her back in time to the feudal era. Upon her arrival to this world, she mercifully unleashes Inuyasha, a half demon. As if this isn't enough, she also discovers that she is the bearer of the Shikon no Tama, a jewel of great spiritual power, a jewel which has just shattered into a million shards. Now, along with Miroku the priest, Sango the demon hunter, and Shippo the mischievous fox-demon, they must set out to find the Shikon shards and defeat the evils of the demon Naraku.

Buff men with huge swords in bloody fights with hideous monsters. What's not to like? If you like action as well as otherworldly mischief, both Inuyasha and Bleach are series you should try. Both contain great storyline, character development, and awesome battles! They both have a nice mixture of comedy and seriousness also, though Bleach leans more towards the serious side and Inuyasha has the sillier moments.

freakzilla freakzilla says...

Guy with a huge sword battles monsters, if you like these fights than both animes are yours to see. Bleach is deeper and more serious, while Inuyasha tends to be more comedy at times though.

Both of these series start out with a strong plot and idea...however they quickly start to get into a perpetual cycle of going absolutely nowhere. While IY is no longer running (I can't say that it had an 'end') Bleach is going and going with no end in sight. If you like animes about groups of people tossed together (especially in an 'alternate world'), fighting to get something or someone back, with 100+ episodes to watch, you'll probably like both of these. However I prefer IY to Bleach, because I found it to generally have more likable characters and much higher production values.

Mizu Mizu says...

Bleach and Inuyasha's stories are worlds apart. One is about a teenage boy who becomes a Shinigami, and the other is about a teenaged girl who gets sent back to the feudal era. I just think if you liked Bleach you would like Inuyasha because they both have the same element of suspense and adventure.

motoman9213 motoman9213 says...

The first thing that InuYasha and Bleach have in common are their main characters who are young, very strong, carry around big ass swords and constantly find themselves in fights . Now if this wasn't enough for you there are other similarities like how the main characters in both series start out as loners but start to gain more friends that help support them in their journeys. They both are long series and for me that's almost always a plus in a good series. So if you enjoyed one of the series you should definitely check out the other.

Nightdragon Nightdragon says...

These anime series are actually quite similar and yet very different. Both of the main characters have large swords; a mix of action, comedy, and drama; and mostly involve sword battles, but sometimes involve spells and ranged battle weapons such as bows and arrows. Inuyasha is based in the past (as it is set in the feudal era) while Bleach is based in the present (I think the setting is self-explanatory). Either way, I am quite sure that if you enjoyed Bleach, you will enjoy Inuyasha.

Zesty Zesty says...

Both of the shows have a main character that is a male. In the beginning of the shows they don't like what they have to do, Inuyasha has to go after jewel shards, Ichigo has to slay Hollows. Into the show they change their ways and become close friends to people they would have never been friends to. Both animes have a story line of the main character, and company, trying to stop something, and when they do something else comes up as a detour for them. If you like one of them there you will probably like the other one.

GrimReaper GrimReaper says...

If you compete the two you can find characters that are quite alike, and somtimes you just wait for someone form Bleach to just pop up Inuyasha or the other way around.

Deathlord9100 Deathlord9100 says...

InuYasha and Bleach both tell the tale of the hero saving / being saved by a girl and then the duo embarking on a journey together while making many new friends and allies along the way. In both Bleach and Inuyasha a main evil character is unveiled deep into the series (Bleach: Aizen Sousuke, InuYasha: Naraku) and the rest of the series involves the protagonist trying to kill the main evil character and in the process discovering new abilities and levels of power that they posess. If you like one, you will love the other.

These two shows have our main 'ordinary' highschool student thrust into another world and time to defeat monsters that threaten their world.

Sowrds, demons, and special skills make up most of these shories. Lots of action and comedic antics. There is a large cast of characters that get a decent amount of screentime and they all seem to have their own personalities and goals.

Action, Adventure, and a lot of fighting.

Buso Renkin

Buso Renkin

Some things in life are so bad that you'd like to pretend they're just a dream. Unfortunately for Kazuki, trying to save a strange girl from being brutally killed by monsters (and ending up dying instead) is an unfortunate reality. Out of pity, the girl replaces Kazuki's heart with an alchemy-based artifact known as Kakugane, so that he may live on. With this strange device, Kazuki gains the power of Busou Renkin -- Arms Alchemy; a power that will come in handy when monsters (and worse) begin to plague his town! Kazuki soon meets the girl from his “dream” (named Tokiko) in reality, and she tells Kazuki to get on with his life; but with his sister and friends in danger, that might not be possible. Besides, if Kazuki gives up the chance to show off just how manly he can be, how can he hope to win the heart of the alluring older-sister-like Tokiko?!

Reasons you might like Buso Renkin...

Wolfco Wolfco says...

Busou Renkin and Bleach have a great deal in common. The primary premise of both series is that a young man can do a great deal if he has enough determination and pain tolerance. In both series, the inexperienced but honorable boy comes upon what he perceives as a vulnerable girl in serious danger. In a somewhat ill advised attempt to save the girl, he ends up endangering himself and gaining unexpected powers. Each boy finds himself struggling to improve himself both mentally and physically; so, he can fulfill his roll as protector and defender. These are two action series which feature major combat and internal struggle with random bits of humor thrown in.

daflameking daflameking says...

Both main characters, Ichigo and Mutou, have the same willpower and both get dark special powers; Hollows in Bleach and Dark Kakugane in Busou Renkin.

vick01 vick01 says...

Both Busou Renkin and Bleach are very similar in that the story focuses around the main character being saved by a mysterious female. Both characters end up becoming powerful from the encounters with the mysterious female and continue to fight alongside her and the others they meet. If you liked one then you will enjoy watching the other.

MeloColi MeloColi says...

Bleach is almost the same type of anime as Busou Renkin. Busou Renkin is a bit darker than Bleach, but it has the same amount of fighting and (perhaps more) comedy. In both anime people fight with special powers, but in Bleach they use swords and in Busou Renkin they don't. Although, one of the main characters in Busou Renkin fights with some sort of swords attached to her armor (it's a bit hard to explain, it looks really cool though =P).

ImportantIrrelevance ImportantIrrelevance says...

Both Bleach and Busou Renkin have a very colorful universe, which makes them a joy to watch. They both focus on a male high schooler and an older girl who shows him the ropes of fighting, and fills him in on the way that the world works (at least for a little while). They both have a very flashy fighting style, and they both start with B. If you like one, I have very little doubt that you wouldn't enjoy the other.

Both Busou Renkin and Bleach are created on that same theme. The main characters - Mutou Kazuki and Kurosaki Ichigo, are first thinking about others and then about themselves. But is it an advantage to be so selfless, to care more about the world that about yourself? Who knows? But if you, too, think that the world we live in is worth saving, you must watch these two animes!

I'm going with the masses and adding the obvious recommendation for these series as they are both so similar. From a similar plot line of a secret society trying to save the earth from the unknown monsters, schoolgirl and guy heroes, special powers to a female side character with very large breasts.

Both are pretty mindless and don't take much thought, occasionally delivering laughs. Regular fight scenes that take more time than is absolutely necessary.

These are certainly not the best shows I've seen, but fill some time when there's lack of anything else better on...

XanderCage XanderCage says...

Yet another story about a boy whose life, as well as the lives off all his loved ones, are in danger. Mysterious creatures that bare little to no resemblance to anything they've ever encountered before, have begun to attack their home towns, leaving piles of bodies and taking countless lives. Both protagonists have learned the secrets that had long been hidden from the normal populous, and with the help of two very unique girls, they've obtained the power required to abolish the threats and save their town from extinction. However, what they still do not know is that there is more to it than meets the eye. Can the two live up to their new responsibilities, and accept the fact that they may have to leave behind the very people that they swore to protect in order to fight a greater evil?

MalteseFalcon MalteseFalcon says...

Bleach and Busou Renkin are uncannily similar in several ways. From the animation, the beginning storylines, the characters, the groups and the weapons, you could probably take some of the characters from one, plop them in the middle of the second, and things would work out.

Character-wise, Kazuki and Ichigo are very similar in motivation, temperament, combat styles and eventually story. Tokiko and Rukia are also very much alike, for similar reasons.

Busou Renkin has a storyline that hits the ground running, with very minimal asides and filler. If you liked Bleach, but want something a little more fast paced, check it out.

Alternately, if you liked Busou Renkin and want a little more, check out the early seasons of Bleach.

annedesiecle annedesiecle says...

Very similar plot lines, though Bleach is a little more complex. Both plots host a strong female lead who discovers the male lead and helps him realize his power. Both plots offer heros an extra set of fighting powers. Very similar animes, both very enjoyable.

Busou Renkin is like a shorter version of Bleach.  They both have weapons that suit their way of fighting. Also Kuzuki and Ichigo both meet a strange young girl who give them new power that'll help save the world.  Both of the guys are also incredible strong and manage to win in the end. They also fight to protect they're loved one.

scizorg45 scizorg45 says...

Hmm, where to start, maybe it's shorter if I just point out the things they do not  share. Which is primeraly is their number of episodes.

Basicly it's about a normal guy, guy gets superpower, guy fights to save the things he loves. Bleach just takes more time for it all.

Thrawn Thrawn says...

When I was watching Busou Renkin, I kept thinking of Bleach. Even with the usual spiky hair and oversized weapons, it's hard to not think of the other when watching either one of them:

Fight scenes a plenty against monstrous foes, the protagonist gaining strength through rigorous training, the cool trainer-esque female character who guides them (Tokiko for Busou Renkin and Rukia for Bleach) and the reason the heroes fight.

Busou Renkin actually ends and moves at a quick pace, while Bleach is still ongoing and moves at it's own pace (depending on the arc). No matter which one you watched, you're bound to enjoy the other as they both feature the same stuff that makes them good in their genre.

sm3xyang3l sm3xyang3l says...

Both animes tell about a boy who was suddenly dragged into a HUGE mess due to a series of unfortunate events. The two protagonists gain power from a girl and start fighting along side with them. Several similarities here, a highschool boy in trouble meets a girl who is fighting evil spirits. This boy receives some powers of her and he appears to have big potential.

In order to save his friends he has to defeat the villains and grow stronger. Bleach uses shinigamis and swords where the swords can level up where Busou Renkin uses alchemy stones which can level up aswell.

Typical shounen stories.

Bleach is an excellent action adventure anime, and the same can be said for D. Gray Man. Both titles have strong charismatic males as their lead. D.Gray and Bleach are both great series for action + storyplot. Allen Walker, for example, is similar to Ichigo in his path to discover what he is defending and how his power works. Okay. I'll start off by saying that both of these animé have very similar battle scenes, for me anyway. Whenever I was watching one of them, it instantly reminded me of a scene in the other.

More action less filler. And when there is filler its meaningful filler with a cool story.

Bleach and FullMetal Alchemist are both action-packed shounen featuring a spunky male lead who combats evil and in general plays the hero, in one form of the other, all the while sporting a fairly combative (and emotionally defensive) attitude. While they put up a tough front, both have a sensitive side, and are very caring and willing to defend the weak-- fight for justice.

Bleach is more well-defined as the typical good vs. evil cliche, while FMA has a good deal more gray areas, and often exhibits the darker side of humanity in a more effective way. Still, both have many light moments and character distortion/chibification, resulting in a pleasant mix of serious moments, combat, and hilarity (and oft-times actually witty humor, as well). I'd definately recommend viewers of one to try the other.

Meepers Meepers says...

Both of the animes' character's are unforgettable, their stories are very funny and yet still action-packed. not to mention the character's try their hardest to keep moving forward, even if there's a giant boulder in their way.

Nightmare7 Nightmare7 says...

Well.. Both have a lot of characters to develop, though FMA takes the focus on fewer characters than Bleach, but both are as action packed as you\\\\\\\'ll love if you watch one of them. The story is a lot more imersive in FMA, but Bleach takes a lot more focus into fight after all, but never forgets about the characters and everything that leads to all the fighting, and that\\\\\\\'s what makes it much more like FMA. And that\\\\\\\'s it.

Both are about a guy who gains a mystic power, they team up with other with skills to help reach their goals. Both animes ar action packed with parts of comedy too.

Protecting of friends and other loved ones after a tragic loss of another. These two shows fit well within one another. Alot of fighting is involved and some hurtful losses. And hints of romance.

fizrox fizrox says...

How far will you go for those closest to you? These two series give you the answer, as well as lots of great fun and enjoyment while following these stories full of heart moving emotions, good-evil battles, unexpected changes of action and humorous situations.

Howlingwar Howlingwar says...

Not that fma has around the same storyline as bleach. But one simalarinty isthat something they were born into(ed has alchemy and ichigo could see spirits) has set themon a journey to help someone or get something back.

LLORAtheLLAMA LLORAtheLLAMA says...

Both of these animes come with action and comedy.

Besides a well-balanced action/comedy story, the main characters have a sense of strong determination to do what they believe is right. Though it sometimes gets them in a giant mess.

The main guys are not alone, of course. They have people that support and love them which drives them both farther to achieve their goal.

Vejhed Vejhed says...

Action, drama, comedy, angst, supernatural elements, bad guys that just won't go away... Yup, all here! FMA and Bleach have many, many similarities.

The plots in each are larger than one would give them credit for in the beginning. As the plots slowly unfold the viewer finds themselves with many 'wow' moments. The battles are intense and manage to hold the viewers' attention.

I also find the main characters to be somewhat alike in the fact that they each strive to do what they belive is right and beat themselves up when things go wrong. They fight for their friends and family above all else. To me, each of the main characters has a bit of a superhero personality in that they believe they can save everyone and will try. When they set their mind to something there's no way to stop them.

Definitely, if you like one you'll like the other.

JayDHD1130 JayDHD1130 says...

Both animes take place in an alternate universe, shaking things up a bit for the audience. Though Alchemy and Soul Reaper abilities are very different, they have that same element of fantasy that gives those watching ideas to create something for themselves. Both ALSO have implied romance; I say implied because it's never made clear through the duration of either of the series as to who has feelings for who when it comes to the romance between main characters. Again, it gives the audience a chance to let their minds wander and decide for themselves. :D

hamletsmage hamletsmage says...

Both of these anime revolve around a powerful, young protagonist that has grand-scale adventures with a group of individuals with extraordinary abilities. Each anime has its own scientific principles that differ from reality. There is also a combination of comedy, action, and teen angst in both anime.

AnimePanda03 AnimePanda03 says...

Action and humor are no foreign concepts in these animes. They will leave you on edge or laughing so hard you might pee. I'm pretty sure you might love one or the other without a doubt. I recently started Bleach, but Fullmetal Alchemist is a childhood favorite. Whatever. You will love them. The end.

Blue Exorcist

Blue Exorcist

Amidst the struggle, he not only awakens latent powers sealed within him, but also learns that he is the son of Satan! No longer able to stay under the protection of the church and with his very existence straddling the line between human and demon, Rin decides to fight against his parentage and joins the True Cross Order as an exorcist. Now, the teen must attend the True Cross Academy and begin special exorcist training alongside his new comrades all while keeping his identity a secret; but can the son of Satan really become a true exorcist?

First time i saw Blue exorcist I thought of bleach. It's really similar. Both main characters can see spirits that others can't. Then stranger appears in both shows and tells them about other worlds and these spirits. Main characters get some powers and their journey begins

Sharman Sharman says...

They are very similar. In both of anime we have a teenage boy who suddenly finds power to see demons and other otherworldly forces. Spirits, swords, fightings, etc.

Vague Vague says...

Exorcists and Shinigami are a little bit different, but both stories have characters defending the world from demons/hollows that normal people can't see. The main characters both have inhuman abilities that they use for good...hooray! The details are quite a bit different but the overall feel and flow of each series is very much the same.

hamletsmage hamletsmage says...

Both anime involve a young (apparently 15 is the age when supernatural occurances happen) male protagonist who can suddenly use otherworldly powers and a pretty wicked sword. He is joined by others with unique powers to destroy demonic beings.

chad28 chad28 says...

Blue Exorcist and Bleach, both have:

- a focus on shounen, action, fighting,

- an organization that fights agasisnt evil spirits;

- different types of fighters that have different tactics.

foltor foltor says...

Structurally, Blue Exorcist and Bleach are very similar: a high school delinquent with inherited supernatural powers and a magic sword gets caught up in a hidden organization of demon hunters riddled with intrigue and corruption. He gathers a network of friends and allies including a smart guy with glasses and ranged attacks, a ditzy hot girl with barrier and healing powers, a smart cranky girl who temporarily loses access to her powers, a guy who looks like a dangerous thug but is acually rather sweet, and a shifty trickster figure with ambiguous allegiances.

They're also thematically and stylistically similar, the main character dealing with literal inner demons and learning to control powers his peers and mentors find scary and extreme, wacky hijinks trying to keep his lifestyle hidden at first, and a general punk aesthetic.

I consider Bleach generally superior, because it has the time to explore everything in more breadth and depth.

BleachSta4Ever BleachSta4Ever says...

I recommend anyone who has watched Bleach to watch Sword Art Online and Blue Exorcist. The reason why is because they both have the hero/heroine. Ichigo is the main character in Bleach and tries to protect everyone. Kirito/Kazuto is the main character in Sword Art Online and tries to protect everyone. And Rin is the main character in Blue Exorcist and tries to protect everyone. Good animes overall.

pinkchicmagnifique pinkchicmagnifique says...

Same style of typical shoenen anime. Both protagonists have a parents that died, use a sword and unlock/try to control a hidden power within themselves to protect others and become stronger. Story sometimes takes place in a school setting.

miko miko says...

main characters being that of males struggling with themselves and the methods to protect their friends and family at all costs.

ccallstar111 ccallstar111 says...

The general concept of each is pretty similar. In Blue Exorcist, Ren is an Exorcist who wants to kill his father, Satan. In Bleach, Ichigo is a Soul Reaper. The atmosphere of both shows is also similar, darkness of demons (or hollows) and friends who are there to help along the way.

BooksAreMyHarem BooksAreMyHarem says...

I agree becase the plot is similar  and still have to deal with spirits and demons.

FriendlyDemon FriendlyDemon says...

Both Blue Exorcist and Bleach have similar plots. Both main characters are teenage boys with supernatural powers, that fight using a sword, wanting to become stronger in order to protect everyone and to defeat the villain.

During the first three eps of Bleach, I got super bored, and I guess it didn't really gage my interested, so I stopped watching during the middle of the 4th ep. But then I started watching blue exorcist which I find to be way more engaging and lighter so I defo recommend it.

Character and power development. Humor mixed with action scenes that brings both shows a good balance.

I watched both and they are great. I Like the storyline in both of them. While there are a little bit of similaritis the story is different. Both of the main characters had a traumatic expirience at some point in their life and they end up fighting demons (blue exorcist) or hollows (bleach) to protect the people they care about.

Closedbookeyes Closedbookeyes says...

I feel like they relate in which they both are fighting evil things, which can be dangerous, to save others.

Ive watched both of these animes and generally enjoyed them. Its been a while since Ive seen Blue Exorcist so I don't remember much, but from what I do ill say. Both animes deal with characters fighting off their own kind and protecting people from monsters.

One Piece

One Piece

Long ago the infamous Gol D. Roger was the strongest and most powerful pirate on the seas. As he was about to be executed he revealed that he hid all of his wealth, including the legendary treasure known as One Piece, on an island at the end of the Grand Line - a treacherous and truly unpredictable sea. Monkey D. Luffy is a spirited, energetic and somewhat dim-witted young man with a very big dream: to find One Piece and become the Pirate King! However Luffy is no ordinary boy, as when he was younger he ate one of the Devil's Fruits and gained its power to become a Rubber Man. Now in this grand age of pirates Luffy sets out to gather a crew and sail to the most dangerous sea in the world so that he can fulfill his dream... and maybe even his appetite!

Bleach and One Piece aren't that much alike. One Piece has a totally different animation style than Bleach and is about pirates, while Bleach is about Shinigami; but still, they both have a lot of action, comedy, sad moments and cool fighting scenes. They are both long, so you can enjoy them for a long time. If you liked one, you'll like the other.

One Piece has more of an adventure feeling to it, yet it does have the same powerful fights and the same comedy to break up the flow when needed like in Bleach. OP has some touching moments and some exciting moments, so you're bound to like it if you liked Bleach!

Bleach and One Piece both heavily involve rather diverse characters in epic fights, both have an insanely powerful main character and an endless stream of intriguing and generally also insanely powerful supporting characters. In all honesty, if you like to see intense anime fights, you'll like both of these, guaranteed.

Although they are set in alternate universes and have different storylines, if you liked Bleach or One Piece, you'd like the other because they have the same/similar elements in both shows. Both anime's are about the main character who wants to complete his goal and has its own kind of way of making it. During that journey he makes new friends who will help to reach this goal. Also both anime's include good fighting scene's.
