It has both an incredible love story as well as loads of action. It's a very interesting anime to discover.

D.N.Angel

D.N.Angel

For Niwa Daisuke, turning 14 should be accompanied by romance and the promise of new adventures into adulthood, but instead comes with a surprising revelation: all male children of the Niwa's bloodline inherit the powers (alter ego) of Dark, a phantom thief, upon their 14th birthday! Now, in addition to his ever-present quest to win the heart of his childhood friend Risa, Daisuke must commit acts of thievery (with his doppelganger Dark controlling his body), to steal mysterious pieces of art for unknown purposes. For Daisuke, his growing pains are just beginning!

OK, this is not much, but if you like characters with more than one person inside and transforming into angels (or sth similar to angels) the two series have this in common ;) D.N Angel is more about commedy and fun while Ayashi no Ceres has a rather dark plot but not without some brighter parts ;)

Earthian

Earthian

For many generations, angels have watched over the keepers of Earth, monitoring their progress, achievements, and failures. Chihaya, a positive-checker cursed with black wings, must report the good deeds of these Earthians to Eden, while Kagetsuya, his partner and a negative-checker must pay attention to man’s ill actions. What starts as simple observatory assignment leads to the heavenly duo becoming involved in a sinister operation of biomechanical proportions, which may end up destroying the Earth and all its children for good!

Earthian and Ayashi no Ceres both have surprisingly similar feels about love, tragedy, and fate, each conveniently dealing with angels. But besides that, I just got the same kind of feeling watching both. Earthian definitely isn't as romance heavy.

El Cazador de la Bruja

El Cazador de la Bruja

Ellis is a young girl who possesses a strange ability to manipulate particles, and has an unfortunate case of amnesia. After accidentally killing a professor in the middle of an experiment, Ellis fled to Mexico and lived under the care of an old lady for many years, but her past has finally caught up with her; there's a price on her head, and men trying to capture her, dead or alive. She meets the bounty hunter Nadie, who befriends her and helps her escape; and together, they decide to travel south to Winay Marka, “The Land of Eternity”, to find clues about Ellis’ past. What’s the origin of Ellis’ powers, and what does “Project Leviathan” have to do with it?

A classic theme in storytelling is that of mortal people dabbling in the supernatural, with disastrous consequences. Sometimes, old magics best left alone are stirred, and sometimes, science stretches its hand too far. Always, always, there is a villain -- someone who is determined not only to continue the process, but to use it for his own twisted, vain or evil purposes. No matter the price to other people.

This is a major plot element in both Ayashi no Ceres and El Cazador de la Bruja, and if you find it interesting in one, you may comfortably expect to recognise similar traits in the other.

Although seemingly different on the surface, both stories involve a young girl unexpectedly caught up in a world of magic, with powers of her own that she wasn't even aware of before. Also, both animes involve a love triangle between the girl and 2 guys.
