I really enjoyed Black Bullet in the end, I'm not sure what I'd compare it to really. The lead character reminds me quite a bit of Edward Elric, but for the most part it's not really like anything I've ever watched before. I mostly enjoyed it due to the action scenes, which were handled pretty well, and the fact the ending is left open-ended enough where they can easily go for another season, but they don't have to in order to make it all work.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'm always interested in a nice romance! I had actually removed it from my want to watch list because I wasn't sure whether I would ever get around to it, but I added it back and I'll give it a shot when I have some time (especially since it's pretty short.)

I got the invite :). It should be working now so you can choose where do you write the rest :).

Hmm, now there are too many KingHippo(s) :D. You can try Larren. Should have a red bird on a branch in my avatar.

Here it's usually cheaper to buy hardware to make your PC good enough to play games than to buy a console. As for my PS3, an acquaintance sold it to me for about 200 USD, that's the only reason I'm able to have it. I would love to get my hands on a handheld as there are some interesting exclusives for some of them but that's probably an investment for a future me :D.

Unepic is a very nice game and it has a great sense of humor. I even tried playing multiplayer with my cousin and that's interesting, too.

I'm not really much into really PC-centric games either. Most games I own on a PC exist on all gaming platforms. But playing The Last of Us, I really wished at first I had a mouse. It's the first console game I played where I had to shoot at times and I so suck at aiming with an analogue stick :D. I tried to stealth my way through any chance I got and relied on melee combat. And I loved playing as Ellie. While I wish they're safe in Jackson, I would love to play as her if she were to get in any trouble. But overall, I loved the DLC but now the game's perhaps best to be left alone.

As for Beyond, the Navajo part is a tremendous cliche but for me it was quite enjoyable (though the existence of Jay a "hunk to jump" irritated me as hell). I thought it had a good balance between action and emotional scenes, giving space for some character development (though only a little). The "fight" in the end of the navajo part also felt a bit more epic than the ending itself for example. If it were a stand-alone minigame or something, it would be alright - cliche, no originality -  but alrightt but as part of the whole story it sucked. It didn't have any importance whatsoever - that was the thing that actually disappointed me.

Romance was awful and I did everything I could to spoil Jodie's date with Ryan so when he was briefing her on her mission and then I was given the option to kiss him, I felt the whole date might as well have been a simple cutscene. Which is sad when you consider that the game actually displays great continuity at times. The only thing I really like is how many ways you can play through a single memory like for example the Homeless chapter.

Ni no kuni is kind of a challenge for me as the only JRPG I played was Okami and there you don't have to control basically 12 characters at a time :D. I really wish for a pause button to issue orders but it's fun in real time, too.

Okami is the jewel of my game library. It took me a year and a half to get my hands on it. No one ever had it in stock. I actually own Kojiki and other pieces of old Japanese literature so I plan on playing Okami again after I get through them.

Hmm, I haven't played many platformers so far. You could consider Unepic a platformer but as it's RPG the gameplay is a lot different. I played Dust: Elysian Tail but that's not really it either. So other than Jazz, I don't think I've ever played a classic platformer. I'm open to new experiences though :D.

I'm acquiring a taste for WTF anime but I have issues with Shaft, too. But as for Mekaku City Actors, the style suits it as Kagerou Project - songs, novels and manga - are all very trippy.

I discovered yesterday on Google Play that there's an app you can use as a karuta reader so I'm thinking of actually trying to learn the poems. I'll be studying Japanese at a university after all so there might be someone I could convince to play :D.

My favorite mahou shoujo is Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha but I'm thinking of watching Princess Tutu. I've been eying the anime for quite a while.

I was watching both Isshuukan Friends and Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou when they started airing but got stuck around the 8th episodes as I need to study for my graduation exam. I need to finish them, too. Romance isn't really my go to genre but I like comedy and the funniest anime tend to be rom-coms so... :D

Hope we can finally find each other on Steam :).

Yeah, I got pretty confused. And I was just getting used to the former lay-out, too :D.

I have literally two gamer friends and the person who got me into anime is very rarely available so I can't really count her as somebody I can talk to. Well, lately I've been playing Unepic, I just finished Beyond: Two souls and The Last of Us and I like to play unique games like Ni no Kuni or Okami. Though even if it doesn't look like it, I'm usually more of a PC gamer. I'm a person who grew up on Half-life and nothing's really come close to replacing it in my heart :D. Well, except Portal but it's the same universe so it doesn't count. I like story-driven games the most. I'm only just getting into some multiplayer. What about you? What kind of games do you like?

As for anime, right now I'm watching the second season of Chihayafuru. I enjoy anime that are centred on some aspect of Japanese culture. Then I plan on finishing Mekakucity Actors as I got stuck somewhere in the middle of the series. What about you?

Steam can be used as a messanger so I assumed that if you liked games you might have it. I'm not sure if I actually found your profile. Do you have it written this way: Soda_Popinskii? Also, were you last online more about two years ago?

If you want to keep our conversation here, that's okay, too.
