Naru is a great character, it's the writers' fault for not knowing what they were doing and making shit up as they went.
I'm in the camp who likes this character and felt she deserved way better than what the writers saddled her with in the anime.
There is no excuse for her actions. Her character defies all common sense and logic. So I can only presume she’s been putting on a girl next door act her entire life just waiting for the chance to screw everyone over.
