I found Radiant to be very similar to One Piece mainly because they both have that mystery-adventure of searching for the "Holy Grail." They also have similar dark power structures of society where each person belongs/chooses to support. Lastly, I found the characters of radiant to be very unique and rememberable like those in One Piece.

Love Hina, like One Piece, is incredibly funny. There isn't much action in Love Hina (there's plenty of action in One Piece), so that may turn off some people, but for those of you that are looking for an anime that will make you laugh like a retarded school girl, you should check out these series'

Great Teacher Onizuka

Great Teacher Onizuka

With a history of leading a motorcycle gang and getting bad grades in school, why would 22 year old Onizuka ever want to become a teacher? Is it to educate young minds or spread the joy of education? Sure, if it involves being able to look up high school girls' skirts! Watch as this would-be educator uses his own life lessons and unconstituted methods as a means to control a delinquent class of students -- students who certainly aren't as happy to have him as a teacher as he is happy to be teaching...

On the face of it, both shows (Ippo and One Piece) are highly contrasting. But if you dig deeper, both main characters have a dream which they are striving to realise and willing to fight tooth and nail for. They are surrounded with strong people who help them along the way, and provide different 'rivers' for the story to flow along. You form an emotional attachment with each character, coming to understand why, what and who they are fighting for. Both shows are masterpieces of storytelling. Don't dismiss One Piece as a kiddie's show, because Ippo isn't just a sports anime, is it?

There are plenty of anime where a character with great powers fights his way through a load of villains while becoming stronger. Yet there aren't plenty that add such a relaxed, fun and adventurous feeling to it. Both One Piece and the 4th DB movie are pure enjoyment aimed at the same fans.

Got a craving for some ridiculously humorous fantasy? Travelling to worlds you've only ever dreamed about has never been as easy as watching anime before. Both have those quirky bits that just pop out and capture your heart while having moments that lure you in with the "I need to know whats going to happen." Both are definatly adventures that need to be had.

Leadership is a very difficult thing. Someone says you can’t learn it but only gain from God. For Luffy and Tylor it's absolutely true. Main screen time they acting like fools without realizing what’s really going on, but when time comes they somehow managing to turn everything for their own benefit. Two desperate heaven-born captains definitely put these series together.

If One Piece’s length and Captain Tylor’s release date doesn’t scary you go ahead and watch them. You won’t be disappointed because a great comedy is a one more reason to unite these series.
