If you liked in one of the series any of the aspects mentioned here, you might like the other.

Both have children as main characters who get involved in a situation that by far surpasses what they are able to do.

While trying to survive (Infinite Ryvius) or trying to accomplish what they believe in (Gundam Wing), they are labelled terrorist and make enemies out of those who they belong to or those who they want to protect.

Both series share politics and human emotions/actions as themes, even though in different scales: Gundam Wing is more focused on the philosophy of politics and human ideals, while Infinte Ryvius is more focused on lack of rules and human behaviour in extreme situations.

Both are centered around war in which an unlikely group is caught in between politics of powerful people(who are generally divided into two groups). Both are space operas but Infinite Ryvius is more of drama and there is more going on in the 26 episodes than in Tytania.

Tytani is more novel-like given that it's only part of a series of novels whereas IR is more realistic as far as the story is concerned .If you like one you might also like the other.

Two sci-fi series with very similar tonal elements and a certain resemblance in the charaters and setting. They also share some of the storytelling method in the way that mysteries gradually unfold as we go, though some ambiguity still remains by the end.

Valvrave the Liberator

Valvrave the Liberator

In the future, Earth is split into three factions: Dorssia, an empire bent on world domination; ARSUS, a military alliance; and Jiro, a collection of neutral states with colonies across the galaxy. On one such colony, Haruto Tokishima lives a carefree life at Sakimori High, where his greatest concern is mustering the courage to confess to his childhood friend, Shouko. His idyllic life is broken, however, when a team of Dorssian super-soldiers, led by the enigmatic L-elf, assaults the colony to retrieve the 'Valvrave', a mobile suit secretly being constructed there. In the resulting chaos, Haruto watches as Shouko disappears within a laser’s blast; enraged, he climbs into the now accessible Valvrave, and defeats the Dorssian army after forsaking his humanity to the machine. Haruto pledges to protect the colony, but can he come to terms with what he's given up to gain such power?

Mugen no Ryvius and Kakumeiki Valvrave follow a group of students who are forced to create and run a self-sustained society in space. In both anime teenagers are thrown on their own resources as they are dragged into a war for the possession of a secret powerful weapon of mystical dimensions. Mecha battles abound and strategy plays a key point.

With that said it should be taken into account that the tone is considerably different: Mugen is very dark and surprisingly realistic, it does indeed recast Lord of the Flies in space; Kakumeiki is a mash of other works and is rather campy and often preposterous. Worth watching back to back for the sake of contrast.

Valvrave the Liberator 2

Valvrave the Liberator 2

Haruto Tokishima - by now every citizen of JIOR knew the name of this hero who confronted the Dorssian army's unjustified invasion and courageously defended his fellow students of Sakimori Academy. But after seeing the sheer power of the Valvrave, both Dorssia and ARUS were ready to take this mysterious humanoid weapon for their own at any cost! With pressure coming from both of these powerful nations, the students of Module 77 decide that it would be best to head for the moon, which is a neutral territory, and declare their independence as New JIOR. Meanwhile, Haruto, who was initially hesitant of confrontational situations, realizes that in order to survive, he and the other Valvrave pilots must fight to protect their school, country, and everything they held so dear. Why were the Valvraves created? What is hidden behind the "Magius?" Will Haruto and L-elf be able to reveal the truth of the world?!

Both anime have a similar concept where group of teenagers are stuck in space in one way or another, caught in a conflict on a bigger scale where they’re forced to act, grow up, survive and fend for themselves. With some supernatural elements, mecha action, quite similar plot progression, twists and turns, these two will definitely appeal to the same kind of audience.

Both anime involves convoluted plot involving defeating some kind of advanced alien-based ships in space.

The Lost Universe is a little bit lighter with more humor involved and more goofy characters without a complex social interaction.

On the other hand infinite ryvius offer more inside of the character interactions and how people work together to form a society.

However, in both cases the plot involves (non-)technical mumble jumble (which I enjoy) about ancient alien super powerful ships that could possibly affect the mental state of their captain/crew.
