Im new to the series but my first impression of the anime was Silent Hill on a much smaller scale and it lived up to that.  The writer shows no favoritisom as he even kills off key characters which in my opinion is the way all anime should be, it makes for a more believable story.  If your looking for a good story with amazing character development and a quick scare this is perfect.
