I'm a busy person, and anime doesn't rank as highly as it used to in my priorities. So I don't really keep up much anymore. I do however maintain a handful of potentially useful anime lists -- they're up at the top on the "lists" tab.

Unfortunately, yeah, it did.. >.>
Can't recommend anything, really. I watched Level E; the show had great potential but... it failed in a very surprising and disappointing way. Still, it's full of random and some episodes are just hilarious. I'm watching Ao no Exorcist, but can't even compare it with Steins;Gate. The show is cool, but that's all there is to it.
I avoid new shows as much as possible, since I know some can be very disappointing, so I prefer watching older ones, at least I know what to expect.
If you find anything at least half as interesting as Steins;Gate, do drop me line please :D
