I've never watched a Sci-Fi Anime before, I might as well give it a go, since there's a first for everything. Also, you've watched quite a lot of Anime's so I am definitely trusting your judgement. I just really dislike horror because I am already afraid of the dark so I hope it isn't scary.
Death note was an amazing Anime, It leaves me speechless to the point of not knowing what to say about it. I recommended it to my friends and made sure they watched it. Out of the whole series my favorite characters were Light Yagami and Ryuk.

I'd love to see them.Well, the first ever Anime I watched was Tokyo Mew Mew Power, which was on whilst I was in Secondary School, and when they removed it from the T.V, I started watching it off YouTube, because I never knew about Anime Sites. Tokyo Mew Mew Power was also the first Manga I've read, the second was Vampire Knight and the third was Death Note. Currently I'm just watching One Piece and when I've had too much of it I try to watch other Animes, then get bored of them and go back to One Piece. I don't know, I think I would be considered new to Anime and Manga since I haven't really read/watched a lot.And OMG, I write too much. Tell me about yourself. Are you new to Anime and Manga, although I doubt it since you've already watched 353.

And about the other Anime, what do you mean gory? As in a lot of blood, because I watch One Piece and that has a fair amount of blood in it.
