This anime is at the top of my list having just seen it. It blow me away, the concept of a purgatory like place where one has to escape from or become absorbed by is not a new one but this anime made it feel unique.   Characters I don't think there is a character within the story I do not like. Otonashi is quite a cliqued protagonist but he is still a likeable enough character, through this animation and voice acting this character really comes alive.
