Basically some of the famous fairy tales with a couple twists, the main one being all the couples are gay.  There are good, other twists as well like the beast being a bear (as in large, hairy gay man) instead of a literal beast.  The Cinderella story twist had me laughing so hard.

The characters are what you'd expect.  They're the same characters retold again.  The art is good at times, bad at others.  You like it or you don't.  It was okay for me.

The main kicker is that you'll want to know the original stories.  Cinderella and The Beauty and the Beast were all well and good, but I wasn't familiar with The Bamboo Princess so didn't really understand what was going on, and I can't remember much about Carmen so it came across as lacking.  This isn't to explain the stories to you or for you to learn the fairy tales, these are just interesting retellings that expect you to know at least one version of the original stories.
