Daughter of Twenty Faces... what a peculiar combination of highs and lows. The first arc of "gentle men thieves" was so crazy interesting, why would you end on the low "mad scientist scheme" note? Why would you make a character as brilliant and dynamic as Chico, and then make every other character innoteworthy or experience little to no growth. Whatever their reason, Chico as a character has completely made this series great in my eyes.

Before jumping into this review, I can honestly say that Deadman Wonderland knocked me off my feet, and was unexpectedly, the most interesting anime I've seen in awhile.

Story: 8 out of 10
Deadman Wonderland started off insanely interesting to me, but lost a little steam as it continued. We start with a boy named Ganta, whom while in class, had all of his friends butchered in front of his eyes. This is fairly brutal, and depressing, but it gets worse. Oh Demon King Daimao, you unambitious little series you. The first episode made a fairly attractive fantasy world, but somewhere along the lines you fell into hair-antennae dragons and power-ranger wanna-bes.

Story: 6 out of 10
The story for DKD is fairly cookie cutter. Magical school, check, awkward main character who turns out to secretly be very strong, check. Busty love interests show-casing a wide array of one-sided personalities? Check. All in all, a very bland series. The only saving grace, is that the first few episodes seemed legitimately promising.
