[sadht]Doujin Work[/sadht][sadhl=1147]doujin-work[/sadhl][sadhdc][/sadhdc]

I just finished the first two episode and thought they were amusing, not hilarious but funny enough for the short run time. The one thing that bugs me is the character design, sure the show says Najimi is 20 but the way she's drawn makes her look like a pre-teen.

So far my favorite character is Tsuyuri, she has an outward cuteness that belies her penchant for causing embarrassing misunderstandings. Also I like the way she so casually drops the fact she makes her money on rape manga. Although what is the deal with the tiny dancing panties that are usually on her head? They can be rather distracting because there isn't any explaination for them.

Fortunately despite the adult nature of the comdey most of the nudity and rougher elements are more implied off screen so far.

This series is gold. I really enjoyed it when i watched it awhile back. The manga imo is even better.

Episode 3: Good episode, I think I'm starting to really like it.

I loved that Tsuyuri and Justice had the exact same reaction to her manga, they couldn't think of anything nice to say so they just start rambling on about the quality of the paper.
I still find it strange that Justice is supposed to be the same age as the rest of the characters, that and his questionable relationship with a clearly underage girl. Although his reaction when he thought Najima had a baby and named it Love Typhoon was gold.

Hmm, an interesting series. I didn't even remember that the episodes are 15ish minutes long instead of 24...
But anyway, from the first episode I thought that okay, I don't know about this.. The biggest thing that bothered me was the scene in the comiket where strips from the manga was used. That kind of thing always makes me think that the drawers were lazy that time...

I'm slowly starting to like the series more, the idea is good and the stuff is funny, like "Excuse Miss, you dropped your porn" xD

I love this show, so many hilarious moments.
If I ever get the chance to buy the DVD's I'm going for it.

Episode 4: Funny episode even if there wasn't much manga writing going on.
I just loved the reactions in this episode. Whether its Tsuyuri, Sora, and Justice's shock at Najimi for working at the cafe or everyone else's reaction to Najimi's "other side" is was all great.

Episode 5:
"Doing it with two people is better than doing it alone, but doing it with 3 is just abnormal." Tsuyuri always cracks me up and she was absolutely great when she was teasing Justice in this ep.
Poor Sora having to grow up around all this perversion. Also when Sora said "couples are born." I think she more refering to Hoshi and Justice.
Pretty much all of the comedy is derived from misunderstandings between the characters, it works so far.

Episode 6:
Not much happened in this episode other than to introduce Najima's rival properly. I didn't think it was as funny as the rest of the episodes so far.

Episodes 4 watched (I'm a bit late compared to you Marius).

I think it's an interesting anime because, although it's comedy so some stuff aren't sticking to reality, most's inspired from it and it's interesting getting to know the doujinshi world. It's such a coincidence, just before starting Doujin Work I was watching Lucky Star and I was wondering what the Comiket was, I searched for it over the internet and it proved useful or else I guess it'd be "what the heck is that building?" (the Tokyo Big Sight) while watching Doujin Work lol. I don't consider myself an otaku, at least not a hardcore one as Konata lol but it must be awesome to do the Comiket!

So far it's good, I haven't laughed much, I still hoping it'll come soon. It's not that I haven't find it funny but I usually like my comedy anime more hilarious. I guess I'm not subtle enough, I'm more the "in your face and visual" humourthan the one based on misunderstandings lol. ^^

I'm currently saving all my money si can travel to Japan and get to that cafe you see in the anime, the fansubs indicated that it actually exists, I have to see that with my own eyes!! :D

I've watched up to ep 6 now. Hmm, so there is some hinting towards a little love-drama in the series, wonder if that'll become a larger part of the plot...

I really enjoy the idea, and the fact that the series features a lot of topics from otaku culture. It makes me feel like I'm on a familiar ground, just like with Genshiken, that I could more or less relate to the events and happenings in the series.

Tsuyuri is awesome with all her pervy comments :D She reminds me of myself actually, though I can't really draw ^^

On a side note, yes I'd like to see that cafe too! There are lots of cafes like that in Japan, Nekomimi cafes, Maid cafes, Tsundere cafes and even a Butler cafe for women I think :D What an awesome country!

Love-drama? Where? I think they only use the love stuff to make funny situations, especially Jutice misunderstanding.

Yes there's lots of "otaku fanservice". It's weird but I couldn't relate that much I can't picture myself as one although I spend almost all my free time on games and anime. ^^' And did you relate to the doujin part? You make your own anime? Ecchi ones? lol.

Tsuyuri's so vicious yet cute at the same time, it almost makes her scary. You guys seem to talk more about Tsuyuri than any other character yet to me the best one was Justice, the part where
he pulls an all-nighter so he can make a 500 pages manga to "save Hoshi from his sins" and Najimi starts ruining his work is hilarious.
The best laughs in the series so far?

Awesome country Menchi yes... to visit, but to actually live in, maybe not as much.

Episode 9: Ah, the mandatory beach episode, aka the nosebleed ep :D I knew it was coming..

Heh, no you can't really relate to the actual doujinshi writing-part, though I have thought about making one someday...

I'm starting to take a liking to Hoshi-kun, he provides the most funny moments for me. The voice actor is really good, all the "huh"s and "gah"s that he says sound real and funny, and the best is
the rivalry/tension between Justice and Hoshi-kun, the ways Justice threatens him :D Wonder if Hoshi will gather enough courage to get pass Justice in the end and confess?
I'm intrigued by the mystery character that'll appear in the next episode. My guess, it is.... Justice's brother! Well we'll see....

I'm looking forward to the beach episode, today I'll watch it. I seem to be late in the count but it depends on when you watch the episodes and as we're in different time zones, I might be following you right lol.

If you make a doujinshi someday I want a copy! :)

I see what you mean with Hosshi-kun and J.
I'll say it again, Justice's always giving the funniest moments to me, it was great when Hoshi faced him in the park thinking he'd meet Najimi but ends up being attacked and her rival's watching all the scene thinking they're in love! Lmao!

I'm intrigued by the mystery character that'll appear in the next episode. My guess, it is.... Justice's brother! Well we'll see....

I have no idea what you're talking about so I'll pass lol.

Tsuyuri's actually more evil than I think, I understand better why in the opening you see her as devil and angel one after another. When she's with Najimi in the train
and acts as if she's aroused by her getting all close and stuff...

Alrighty, I just finished the series. All in all, it was okay, good laughs and something that was easy to follow, but not world-rocking. The ending was kind of... blah. I would've wanted more romance in there, just a little more.

Nothing else comes up right now, other than I'm thinking of also reading the manga, I've had that in my want to read list for a while... Thanks for the buddy group, it was fun to discuss! Now I need some sleep :3

Read the manga. It's just as good as the anime if not better.

Tsuyuri is hand down the best character of the anime. She made the already hilarious show great. Just a mix of her mischievousness and seriousness (still filled with naughty thoughts) make her a memorable character

So I finished it and I thought it was a decent comedy, although I don't think I'd want to watch much more. At this point I know all the characters and can see the jokes coming a mile away. And the dancing panties were just stupid and pointless.

Doujin Work is light enough and silly enough that its flaws don't matter too much. Considering the setting and plot the show is rather clean, leaving all of perversion off screen.

Throughout Tsuyuri remained my favorite character although I also really liked Justice and Sora in her cute ever changing outfits. I didn't really care for Najimi's rival.

The ending was pretty cheesey though.

I think you're summing up the anime pretty well. I'll add that I wished it had more otaku references like a Lucky Star. I think the show's lenght was just right, if they had kept it any longer the jokes would have got old and it'd have ended on a bad feeling. But heck no please not more romance! :P

Thank you too for the buddy group, we do it again any time, Marius' welcome too it's my second with him and both times as enjoyable. ^^

You might have summarized the series even better than Menchi lol. It's true the jokes got predictable at the end although I thought they could still be funny so that's why I added the comment about the show's length. The dancing panties didn't mean anything? The whole time I wondered what the heck they were. ^^'

Yup the show remains clean even when
Justice tells Najimi that he didn't become pro because he wanted to... And because his work was too "passionate" and then shows a manga even Tsuyuri the naughty girl blushed in front of lmao!

Watching this with FYAB group.

Episode 1-2
So... it is short.
Not just a short series, but with intro and end, like 12 minutes each.

First thing, What the hell are those underwear (pantsu) on the top of the girl with the hat?
Anyhow, the first episode is somewhat humorous, but not hilarious. I am not sure what to make of the mini kid looking blond.
if your going to decide to make doujin, you should at least be able to draw well... and a lot.
Ep2
Far-fetched cops on bikes.
why did they need to see what was in the bag? I don't quite understand even in a heightened reality sort of way.
I guess I did like how this title is showing how lucrative the Doujin market can be... I do hope they show how hard it is to break in.

Part of the FYAB group ^_^

Episode 1
To start off, it seems like a really light series, cute.
But what in the world is that on the black haired girls head...a bug?
Character designs were cute.
For a short, it was quite interesting and amusing.
This girl writes such weird doujins....seriously what is that 0_0.
And we have a maid T_T

Episode 2
Ahh that opening though, it is so catchy and I never knew that you could earn so much from writing doujins ^_^
That bug panties thing is annoying me though.
Wow what a turn of events..........
*Deep breaths with character*
It's cute how she looks so nervous
And the cosplayer appears....
I want to go into a manga/doujin shop like that, it looks so cool T^T
It's on her head....she has pants on her head....
(I think the silver haired guy is a lolicon)

For FYAB

Episode 1
That pantsu on the girls head is kinda wierd, but i can deal with it.
Rape manga 0_o not my preferred type of Doujin, but its fine as long as nobody ends up making a Futanari
Charactor designs are kinda meh to me, especially Justice's, but i do think the animation style fits for this type of show.

Episode 2
Facebook, stop spamming me, im trying to watch people make doujins -_-
omg, that part when Najimi is watching that hentai :3
Uh, najimi, its probaby a bad idea to run from a cop
my god, that Loli is so cute
