We, Without Wings - Under the Innocent Sky

Jun 24, 2011

Finally here comes the end of Spring 2011, and I am watching WAY too much this season, nevermind that this is a review for the first anime I finished this season... Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai or We Without Wings –Under the Innocent Sky-. First of all this is another of those animes like Yosuga no Sora, if you can’t put up with the hardcore ecchi, you won’t watch it, this is clearly apparent in the first couple of episodes of the anime. Story: We Without Wings is interesting in the fact that the story is similar to that of Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate, in the fact that the actual true story... See full review

Maria Holic

Apr 28, 2011

In a discussion with my friends I somehow found reasoning to sit down and watch Maria†Holic. I am not in the slightest bit attracted to Shoujo-ai anime but because Maria†Holic was made but Shaft I decided I would give it ago. Much to my surprise, it was hardly Shoujo-ai, the only thing that was yuri about it was that the main character is a lesbian.  That aside I still thought I should review it. Story: The story itself sounded over the top and unwatchable, the main character Kanoko breaks into hives on contact with boys – I thought this would definitely... See full review

Yosuga no Sora: In Solitude, Where We Are Least Alone

Apr 2, 2011

During Fall 2010 I found myself uniquely drawn to this title Yosuga no Sora, I had read a expectation of it on a iPod application which I have been using for a while now to rate and choose what I would watch, had I known that it would have turned out to be a borderline-H I may have reconsidered, I’m glad I didn’t. For all its worth Yosuga no Sora was surprisingly a really enjoyable anime –however I wouldn’t recommend it too innocents and those who hate perversion/ nudity- and I had a great time watching it. Story: Interestingly enough the story of Yosuga no Sora was good, I would... See full review

Hiyokoi

Feb 18, 2011

In anime school-based romances are ever popular, usually have simple story that deal with the tribulations of high-school life, being accepted, finding the one they love and such, and Hiyokoi is no exception, this refreshing OVA (well ‘other’ classed on Anime-Planet)brings about a simple tale about a very small girl, in a much larger world. The thing that surprised me the most about Hiyokoi was the conciseness of the OVA, it felt like a one-shot for anime, a trail at a possible anime, which went off quite well, in my opinion. Story: Being a shoujo, school-based romance, a lot of things are as... See full review

Soul Eater

Mar 19, 2010

Okay this is my first review so don't be to harsh on me! XDSoul Eater is an anime that has stuck in my mind, because though it follows of the same conventions of a shonnen anime (eg Naruto, Bleach and D.Gray-man) it felt completly different... This was at a time in my anime watching time that I was getting sick of Bleach and Naruto, I was finding it far too repeatative and dull, but Soul Eater changed that.Story:Yes Soul Eater is a Shonnen Anime, basically fight-based with the main character (in this case characters) developing more abilities to help defeat the enemies that they couldn't defeat at the time...
