I LOVED the beginning of this anime and enjoyed the plot over all, but the middle and the ending of the show was completely terrible and didn't follow the manga at all. Characters that lived in the manga ended up being killed in the anime for no reason other than shock value and that, to me, made the show unsatifying. I felt empty inside and cradled the manga for comfort...

This anime shouldn't have existed. It was complete trash, in my opinion. Basilisk on it's own was a masterpiece and didn't need a horrible sequal with a confusing plot and terrible animation. Yes...this anime grinds my gears and infuriates me. =.=

Berserk deserved better. Either you make the show entirely with CGI or you dont. Combining the two in this way just made it messy and unenjoyable. 

Friends of mine kept telling me this anime was AMAZING and INCREDIBLE, but all I got out of it was random musical moments and a terrible plot. Not to mention the ending was completely horrible. Amazing reverse harem anime would be Hakuoki, Yona of the Dawn, or even Fushigi Yugi-not this. It's only redeeming qualities is the beautiful animation and the character Mage.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The whole thing is absolutely horrible. It pained me to watch it. The overall idea sounded interesting but the plot itself, as well as the animation, just wasn't for me. 

I saw this anime so long ago that I don't partically remember much about it BUT I remember selling the box set of this series immediately after watching the show. I was very disappointed and tried to block out my memories of it. 

While this anime is considered it be a classic, and is beautifully animated, the whole plot was a miss for me. I found the main characters incredibly annoying and it ultimately affected my enjoyment of the film. I felt most of their circumstances could have been avoided or easily changed. If I had to pick anime films that dealt with WWII, then my choices would be "Barefoot Gen" and "In This Corner of the World". Just my preference.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I gave this anime two stars because the opening song, FEED THE FIRE, was amazing and the overall plot was interesting, but the manga is WAYYYY better. In the anime they tried to combined three seperate stories and it wasn't executed well so it didnt work out in the end in my opinion. 

I only watched a few episodes of this show when it first released and dropped it almost immediately. When I hear "the best magical girl anime since Sailor Moon" or "This is the BEST magical girl anime of all time!" I expect something incredible so I was disappointed with what I saw of it. I hate the character designs and the plot just turned me off. I will not watch it ever again and I give it zero stars. I know its incredibly popular, and hey more power to the fans, but for me personally...its terrible compared to Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Wedding Peach, and even Pretear.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Such a confusing plot. My husband dropped it after a few episodes, but I kept watching hoping that it would improve...it didn't.
