Just a short little review, nothing special or hopelessly in depth. Naruto Shippuden and its predecessor Naruto are some of the most iconic titles in the Shounen genre. Akin to the DBZ series, people usually either love it or they hate it. Really, there are plenty of spots to do both in this series. The huge variety of characters, beautiful soundtrack, powerful emotions tied to the most insignificant of characters, and unique abilities that have obviously been given lots of thought. I personally really liked this series, it always makes me feel nostalgic. Yet there are a few things that keep it from being my favorite. Firstly, the onslaght of fillers is enough to make me stall watching for weeks. The tragic backstory was implemented way too often, trying to rack up pity points for side characters. Some characters were unrealistically forgiving, and later in the series, flashbacks were altered to make the story more convienent. There are more obvious flaws, but overall I really liked the charm of this series. It's not for everyone, but if you're unsure, give it a go!
