what do you mean "he doesn't take it seriously"? he seriously does. his attempts themselves aren't comedic at all it's just the way the story portrays that makes it comedic. Just hear his reasons for being so suicidal, he isn't joking around with suicide. He genuinely wants to not be here anymore and has fairly valid reasons for feeling the way he does.

If she truly loved the kids she would have helped them escape and sacrificed herself though knowing that they're intelligent. She would have done humanity good.

Hi, I saw your comment on Dazai's character, about how you hate him because suicide isn't supposed to be funny.
I agree, and the author he's based off of actually did commit suicide (successfully) :(
I also believe the character Dazai is hiding something - he actually wants to die (or at least in the past), but he pretends he's okay to his friends.
Also - Sakura's on the hate list. Can't disagree with that one...
