Yep. This show is great. Don't miss it. It reminds me when i first watched JoJo, the way everything looks goofy and exagerated, but when you realize it, you're entirely captivated by its story. Although the animation isn't top notch, it is good enough for the story telling. If it looks a little off, you may be watching the censored version, aka the western release, in which they butchered many scenes so the swastikas in the gang's uniform won't appear. Overall, a great show, anime is not dead yet.
See full reviewI'm writing after finishing the 50th and, currently, last episode. This is a "different" show. When I watched the first few episodes, I thought it would be another cliche shounen about teenagers doing sports, and I was alright with that, I don't dislike animes like Haikyuu and such, but I guess I got deceived by this one. It's almost as if it tries to mimic reality while mocking the usual sports animes. There is even a scene where one character finds another one reading a Slam Dunk manga volume, and says he actually started playing basketball after reading it too. All in all, it's a realistic... A samurai anime with impeccable animation, though it never had a proper ending. This is a classic, watch it and you'll never forget it.
See full reviewThis a samurai anime with lots of monsters, fighting, blood, etc. It is pretty well made, although midway through the airing the animation became rushed and bizarre, probably due to the studio's time schedule, but it should have been fixed in the blu-ray/dvd release. It is a good show.
See full reviewAnother show about an average guy that gets summoned to a fantasy world, becomes strong and gets all the girls at his feet.
See full reviewVery interesting movie about a soul that enters the body of a teenager who tried to commit suicide. Animation and sound are both great, and I personally liked the voice acting. The kids does have kids voice, they don't sound like grown ups speaking high pitched. The story is at sometimes funny, at others emotional, and overall this is a good movie.
See full reviewA movie following the second season of the anime. Nothing too relevant, It doesn't look canon, but it is decent.
See full reviewThis is a detective show, with some fantasy and magic stuff elements that appeared from another world that linked to ours through a portal. It has a lot of humor, and the story is OK. It was a good watch, but I seems like the studio had some issues with their weekly schedule and had to often rush animations, there is a lot of frozen frames and not properly drawn characters, it kinda got in the way when I was watching. That probably got reworked in the blu-ray/dvd release, so you should be good watching that.
See full reviewAnother show about a plain guy that goes into a fantasy world, gets strong somehow, and all the girls start traveling with him.
See full reviewComedy show about some teenagers that have been kidnapped and must complete these trials everyday in order to stay alive in a big abandoned city/island. Not great, not terrible, it has it's funny moments and more mysterious ones. Animation is not bad, voice acting is the same as every other show. I would recommend it only if you have nothing better to watch.
See full reviewFirst movie of this trilogy batch, an immediate sequel to the second season (Psycho Pass 2 from 2014). Good story, animation and audio.
See full reviewSecond movie of this batch, also a prequel. It shows that old man detective working on a case, and introduces a guy that will later appear in the anime. The story is good, animation and sound are flawless as always, it's a good watch.
See full reviewComedy show about a guy being summoned into a fantasy world - a satire to all these isekai animes that have been popping up nonstop. Seems like a very small budget production, characters faces and body parts often look like they were drawn in a rush, but not so much as to ruin the it overall. Nothing special, but it may give you some good laughs.
See full reviewThis is a short film about a cellist, presented in a comical way. It seems he practiced so much he started hearing birds and other animals talking. The animation is well synced with the cello playing, and the animation looks like Ghibli's early days. I don't know what this is based on, but when something big happened in the story and I thought it would then start developing, the movie ended and I realized it was very short. Not a must watch, but if you got your hands on it, might as well watch it.
See full reviewIt starts out as a fast pace detective story, and it develops in a very interesting manner until midway. Then it becomes plain and boring, and ends abruptly without even explaining the mysteries or showing any conclusions. Seriously, it wasn't even a proper ending, I don't know if the manga is the same, and at this point I don't wanna waste my time reading it, but it just felt rushed and lazy. Something like "We already ran out of ideas, let's just end it right now before we screw it up even more. Animation and audio are fine, the story at the begining is good, it has it's interesting moments, and at... See full review
Ending of the series after the 1st season. Yep, it was short, but the anime covered most of the manga, anyway. <div id="websigner_softplan_com_br" class="websigner_softplan_com_br" style="display: none;"> </div>
