Yeah no worries, I also get your points. It will be cool to follow you I first started on action animes, it remains to still be my favourite genre, with a mix of the comedy. I did see some more harsher comments on your review, so I can understand where your coming from. People aren't the best with unpopular opinions. Following sounds good, you seem cool and I'm glad we got the misunderstanding at out the way, but I get why you felt, you had to be on guard.
It's fine if you wanna share your opinion, to be fair I even want you to do it. I'm just used to being so attacked by that review with the stupidest arguments like "I hate people who watch anime for the dopamine" that I got pretty much sick of it. Anyways, I also understanding if others still enjoy the anime, the story wasn't really bad imo. But I mostly enjoy action and comedy when it comes to animes, so if the first season is focused a lot around the action and the second season takes a sudden switch to remove most of that action and replaces it with lots of talking, it's just not for me anymore. Anyways, I'll give you a follow back since you're the first people who's been cool with it lmao. Apologies if I went out of tone as well
You don't have to reply back to what I said, but I wanted to speak my opinion, when I first replied to your review it was mean't to be a friendly discussion not an attack. If it came off that way it wasn't my intention. I can offer you a follow, you don't have to follow me back. I just feel we got off on the wrong foot. I'm not an ugly person in life, but have very strong opinions for animes I love. I end up defending them too much.
I get your point. But why can't a story be multiple genres your still covering someone's journey in the form of story telling. In the end of the day your entitled to your opinion, so I never intended to attack your opinion. Sorry if it came off that way, I do think you were too harsh with the anime.
I've seen some really awful anime, I think if you didn't like this season as much it would still be an average rating like a 6. I'd say to also give it another try, up to you but a story develops. We are covering thorfinns fictional life. So being that life is a journey, it will take you many different places, which aren't always filled with action.
I personally love how the anime has thorfinn regret all the people he's killed in his path for reverge. So many war anime's have characters killing with no care if the other soldier had a family etc. Then looking at the king side of things, a smart king doesn't always fight and finds strategic ways to win a war without getting his people killed. So there's less action to tell a more real story.
But if you didn't like it that's up to you. But in my opinion this season deserves a lot more love and of you look at it from a strategic war perspective for a king. Then growth for thorfinn who lost all reason to live, hence why he wouldn't be fighting and learns that there are real things to fight for in the world, then a blood filled road of revenge.
That was the opinion I was trying to share. It's up to you what you do and don't like in the end of the day. But I feel like you missed some of the deeper meaning to this season.
Stories are based around genres to grab a specific kind of audience. If one season is suspenseful action and the next season is casual drama, the action audience gets cut off. If you like every "good" story (so every genre), good for you. Most people watch anime based on genres
