I'm highly enjoying doing the podcasts just because it's a different way to express my views on anime/manga. Hopefully, you'll like them too.
If you have limited anime watching time, often, checking out movies and OVAs are the way to go! These are often much quicker to view than series and you can get some great anime experiences out of them. (Although, often OVAs are connected to a series, and therefore better to see the series first ... one-shot movies are prolly a better bet. I've listed some I recommend below.) And can list more if asked!
It -is- hard to narrow down favorite genres when you like all sorts of different anime and are willing to see almost anything. <-- me
But after awhile, I've noticed that I tend to enjoy some genres more consistently or more often than others and that anime I really, really enjoyed tend to often end up in these buckets. Which is how I ended up listing the genres that I list as my favorites!
By no means do I limit myself only to these, though. And I am willing to watch anime that come from my least favorite genre, as well.

You don't list which are your favorite genres, so it is hard for me to make a recommendation for you. But you gave 5-star ratings to several Miyuzaki/Ghibli movies, so I'm thinking you might want to check out Whisper of the Heart, which I enjoyed of these movies, and also Kiki's Delivery Service which is very popular from this studio.

Unrelated, but if you like anime movies, one of my favorites is Hotarubi no Mori e. I also enjoyed Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo aka: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
