This is a very peculiar anime.

The premise was really intruiging. A post-isekai in the truest sense. I've often thought myself of a story about a world where isekai happens and the locals reacting badly to this. 

Nonetheless upon first attempting to watch I just couldn't get into it. I dropped it within 2 episodes. The style is just off. The out of place comedic moments betwen Momo and Menou just feel wrong and completely out of tone. They were of a 'cute girls doing cute things' variety which is instantly off putting in an anime for me. They made me not want to watch the show.

Its common with isekai that they will start strong with a lot of promise but by the end I'm watching out of a sense of a sunk cost fallacy.  With this show however it was completely the opposite. I struggled to get into it but it really picks up as the story goes on and becomes a pretty interesting fantasy story.

Once again I'm left cursing the glut of isekai being made and the fact that the interesting ones never get sequels.
