I very rarely write reviews for the shows that I watch. However, High-Rise Invasion was a show that I was very much looking forward to and it did not deliver on any scale whatsoever. It's watchable, but it is a confusing mess that has no idea what it wants to be and doesn't give any depth to its characters. Story (6/10): The story seems pretty simple on the surface: random people wake up on high rise buildings connected by suspension bridges, surrounded by masked figures who try to drive them to suicide, or will kill them if they don't commit suicide. The goal is survival. Sounds pretty... See full review
Excuse my language, but fuck this. It's not even anime, it is not intended for entertainment. Nothing is explained, nothing makes sense. Everything is terrible. I went into this knowing it was the worst reviewed anime on the website, and it somehow exceeded my expectations in the worst way possible Story: Giant ass floating alien squid that practically has no animation appeared in Japan. Who better to stop it than a bunch of chicks in awfully rendered 3D flying mechs? Spoiler alert: anybody. This isn't even explained well, there's no development of any kind, and every character either has a really whiny... See full review
THIS IS A SPOILER FREE REVIEW I am perhaps a little bit biased, as I truly love this anime. It was very bittersweet to watch these nine characters that I love finally depart from the screen forever. But like true school idols, their finale was unforgettable. Story: I mean, there isn't a whole lot in the way of story in the anime in general. The basic synopsis of the movie is that the girls travel to America to help the popularity of idols, and then they return to Japan and try to decide what their future holds. While the story is certainly not thick, for fans of the anime, this finally answers... See full review
Story: Nothing spectacular, but it wasn't really supposed to be. Animation: Truly the best part of the anime. The animation was crisp and really nice. It had a special glint to it that was really enjoyable to watch. 9/10 Sound: The sound effects and voice acting were decent, but man, the themes were absolutely terrible. This is the only anime I can remember where I hated the theme the more I listened to it, whereas some themes grow on me, this one only grew on my nerves. 5/10 Characters: A lot of characters were pretty bland, but some standout characters made it more...
