Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd STAGE

Apr 7, 2024

Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki is one of the dearest anime to me, being the first ever romance anime I watched when I really got into it. I watched the first season back in 2021 when it was airing and it was absolute peak. Now, the second season drops having me as hyped as ever. The episodes go on smoothly and they don't have you checking every two minutes how much it's got left. It's just a simple yet compelling story. Or so it was, until the very end.
Throughout the anime Tomozaki's relationship is discussed and it is arrived at the conclusion that his two final choices for building one are... See full review

Blue Spring Ride

Feb 8, 2024

I don't even know why it took me so long to finally express how much I despise this anime. I absolutely hated it. Now, I really don't even know why it's so famous and popular amongst romance fans, because Blue Spring Ride was literally the most boring, annoying, generic, mundane and mediocre romance anime I've ever seen, and worst part is you can't even justify its predictable plot by saying other anme were based off of it because it's fairly new. Well, let's start by explaining my former statement. Blue Spring Ride has everything your average romance anime would have: the bubbly, clumsy and naïve... See full review

Burn the Witch #0.8

Jan 17, 2024

I first came accross Burn The Witch through a trailer of the main series and after almost 3 years this special was added to it. I had forgotten what a blast this was. The character designs, the world-building, the animation; everything in Burn The Witch is perfect, and that's exactly what made these 28 minutes feel like 5. Just a shot of Noel and Ninny flying through the sky or a shot of them picking up grapes from a tree are enough to make your eyes feel like they just went through the biggest all-you-can-eat buffet. This anime really takes eye candy to another level, and the plot is just as great. I mean... See full review

Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku-hen

Jan 17, 2024

After my relatively bad review of Tokyo Revengers Season 2, I've gotta say this was like the series' redeeming arc. At the close of a boring and repetitive plot, Tokyo Revengers came in stronger than ever with a new and alluring arc. This season was more than interesting, although starting slow, it built up to a massive plot-twist that doesn't fail thoroughly suprising the watcher. Definietly one of the best seasons of the series; the one that restored my hope in Tokyo Revengers as a whole and the one that made me crave for more.

Rurouni Kenshin (2023)

Dec 21, 2023

First of all, I've gotta start by saying I haven't actually watched the original yet (well, mostly because it's almost 100 episodes long) and I can't really say which one's better, but compared to the manga (and looking at the facts I have mentioned below) this remake is the most faithful adaptation. The original 1990s adaptation was different from the manga in some aspects of the plot, dumbing it out, and it was even left unfinished, with the last half being completely filler. The remake however, is truly a great adaptation of the source material, being unchanged and not having added annoying, unneccessary... See full review

Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregototsukai

Dec 6, 2023

Just as the title suggests, at the end everything is nonesnse, for this series will shatter your every concept or belief of what the 'truth' within it, is. The first episodes are what you could call simple murder mistery and quite frankly a little bit boring. Not much is revealed about the characters and the mistery is solved in a pleasing, yet mundane way. Then, it is revealed that it was all nonesense, little details mattered more than the narrator thought, thus they revealed a whole new truth. An series that will mess with your concepts of truth and reality. "Where do the lies end and... See full review

Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan

Oct 31, 2023

There isn't a mind-blowing plot or extremely good writing in this anime, but it's silly, funny and something that can definietly cheer you up. Like every other slapstick comedy anime, it's just a little spice and silliness that we need in our life. It can be pretty enjoyable at times and will surely entertain you while also making you question what the actual fuck you just watched. And I absolutely loved every second of that.

Paprika

Sep 6, 2023

Paprika is an undeniable masterpiece. A masterpiece that plays with your mind and common sense. The story is compelling and the characters are well-written. It explores the desire for escapism and the inevitable truth of reality. A movie where dreams are beautifly sewn together with real life. This amazing blending with the real and surreal makes Paprika one of the most unique pieces of media out there, a movie that teaches you to wake up and keep on living, to make your dreams reality while you still can.

OPPO Ace2 x Evangelion

Sep 2, 2023

These commercials were astonishing. The CGI animation was the definition of 'done right', the detail, the movements, the sound, everything was as it should be and honestly I would've wanted this to be a whole mini (or long) series. It truly felt like they brought Evangelion and the Evas to life. And the product (although I don't own it) looks amazing. The detail is scary, they even made the SIM ejector tool look like the Two Spears and the earbuds had the Eva numbers on them. This. Was. Straight up. Art.

(Making of) Evangelion: Another Impact

Aug 29, 2023

There's not much to it. It's just all the work put into creating Evangelion: Another Impact aka CGI done right. A lot of work for a 5 minute animation. Gotta respect the animators, you can tell there was a lot of love put in here.

Petit Eva: Evangelion@School

Aug 27, 2023

When I first started the series I thioght I would definitely rate it 0.5/10, but it kinda grew on me. It's a silly spin-off of Neon Genesis Evangelion that has nothing to do with the original, with 2000s 3D animation and no commentary or voice acting whatsoever, and still it's such an enjoyable and goofy experience. It has this 2000s Vocaloid feel to it and is definietly a good watch to relieve some depression after watching NGE or just something to say "What the fuck did I just watch?" to after finishing.

Kirara

Apr 28, 2023

I put this anime on my Want to Watch list just because it was short, but after watching it I wish it was longer. The story definietly feels rushed and all over the place and if you start this OVA without reading the summary (like me) it will be a bit confusing at the start, but those short sequences of romance we got were really cute and got me wanting more. It could have certainly been more melancholic or sad like I Want To Eat Your Pancreas, but everything is imperefect and considering the time it was made I... See full review

Nijiyon Animation

Mar 25, 2023

This anime was an enjoyable quick watch. The animation was so smooth, even though it was CGI, definietly something I wish other anime had. The voice acting was excellent, especially the eglish lines. Usually japanese VA try hard, but never get english right, yet that wasn't the case here. Nijiyon Animation follows the daily life of the school idols and their wholesome interactions with each other. There are 12 episodes, all 3 minutes, so why not give it a try. It's the cutest and most wholesome short anime and it certainly gives PetitSeka vibes. Pretty cool and nice to watch. If you're looking for a comfort... See full review

Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack Mini Anime

Mar 19, 2023

It's a great chibi mini anime and you can watch the whole thing on YouTube, but unfortunatly at this time there isn't a subbed or dubbed version yet so you can only understand the episodes with the auto-translated subs of YouTube which aren't the greatest. Either way it's a cute and wholesome mini special :)

Yeah, the style may be weird for some, but the aestheticness and story are simply underrated. The color palette used is dynamic and vibrant and the story of every episode kept me engadged and entertained. For some the last 50 minute episode may be long, but if you're looking for an overly retro and aesthetic anime this is perfect. Simply underrated, because well, "It's old and it didn't age well"  Seriously this anime is entertaining in its own way, but of course you can't come here and compare it to modern standards. Enjoyable. Watch it.

Tokyo Revengers: Seiya Kessen-hen

Feb 21, 2023

Tokyo Revengers was amazing, but now it's just the same cycle over and over again- Takemichi goes to the past and fixes something then he goes to the future and realizes something else has gone bad and then he just repeats the same cycle over and over again trying to fix a mistake that acquires fighting skills when he's got none. With Takemichi being the crybaby he is and with this annoying cycle, Tokyo Revengers 2 is just plain boring. I honestly couldn't go through all the episodes without the 2X speed option.

I think this anime is one of the rare ones that deliver very strong thrills, although they're animated. The plot gets better and better with time and the animation is fantastic. I don't know why the rating is so low but it's totally worth seeing. It's also directed by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. ( Naokatsu Tsuda )
