What are you watching at the moment? Is it Hajime no Ippo?

I understand. And that's fine, we all have our view on those things.

I actually watch some tv shows, like Vikings, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead.

And Hajime no Ippo is a true masterpiece and I'm not just saying that because I love boxing and I practice it! They combined really well the sport feel to it, but also the shonen part. They covered the character design and managed to create something that grabs you from the first episode. It is, indeed, a very enjoyable show, no matter who you are, what age, or what you do.

Yea, I'm pretty sure I would cry a lot if I had to fight an alien race with a mecha robot that I never piloted.

My top shows? That's a hard one.. if I had to pick one, strangely enough, I would go for Gintama. Since I love everything about it and I really love to laugh and keep a positive mind about everything and that's what Gintama provides me with. I would say it is the best comedy anime (and not only anime, but tv show and movie too) ever made!

Other than that, I've listed my honorable mentions on my profile. But it really goes by a genre. I would say I have a favorite anime in every genre. If I would have to list them by enjoyment, I guess it would go like: Gintama, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Hellsing, Bakuman, Hajime no Ippo, Kuroko no basket, Shingeki no Kyojin, FMA, Code Geass... All of those are animes that kept me in front of the monitor until the end, with that "oh my God, I can't stop watching this anime, I guess my sister was right, I am an otaku now!" moment. And all of the animes listed above have a rewatching potential for me. I often find myself looking for specific moments on youtube, just to enjoy it again.

"Life is all about the detours. Enjoy them to the fullest."

I really like this quote. It makes a lot a of sense, but you would rarely think to look at life that way. It's okay to get deep from time to time :)

I just noticed, you have rated Evangelion very high, that's another anime I didn't really get. I dropped it.

That's actually the thing about anime. The way it works, the way it makes you feel, it changes your view and take on life. No movie or tv drama has ever made me really laugh or cry, or experience even deeper emotions, the way that anime does. Lots of times in real life, when something happens to me, I get reminded of a specific moment, in a specific anime and how the character acted, what he said and how that made me feel. I have a friend who is very shy and always gets criticised and bullied (mentally) a lot, he is a bit of a clutz too. He is always unsure of what to do. We had a moment, recently, we opened up to each other and I told him what I learned from Naruto, which sounds silly, but it's actually really true and has a deeper meaning to it. "I never go back on my word, I stand by what I say, because thats my nindo."

About HxH. I guess you are right, I might give it another shot.
