Josee, the Tiger and the Fish
Dec 19, 2021With all respect, i disliked the story with all my heart. I think we should stop promoting abusive & unhealthy relationships and be able to have an open conversation with a clear mind & pure soul. Many times before i've seen this scenario when the main character (unsurprisingly a pretty young girl) is a selfish, lonely, spoiled, abusive and cruel child who cries and yells instead of saying about their feeling and emotions honestly. Poor boy near comes to death in a bid to please this beautiful Josee. He loses his dream and it's just don't feel right. Please stop romanticising abuse and selfishness in relationships! Animation is stunning and fresh though, that's a shame and a great pity that these breathtaking images are used as blotting paper for these boring, predictable and emotionally manipulative plot twists!

Can easily tell you've never had a girl/boyfriend. Whichever way man his near death experience wasn't solely caused by her because at the end of the day he ran out into the road of his own free will. Yes, the accident happened because she went into the street due to her anger but when you actually love someone there's no way you'd regret doing something to help them. In their case he damn near saved her life. He didn't lose his dream. Also, humans think freely, and love being one of the biggest influencers in the actions we take. Humans have been known to make wayyyyyy more mind boggling decisions than the ones you see in this show. Adam taking the fruit from Eve for example. Consider the fact that she was cripple her entire life with no friends and just her grandmother most her life, who suddenly died. You having a normal life can probably get emotionally unstable at times, how much more so do you think her. Love isn't an easy emotion to understand.
There's definitely a few things that could be seen as problematic with this story, but I don’t really see this one. If anything I feel like one of the Morales of the story was that being selfish and not expressing your feelings messes stuff up, definitely not promoting that dynamic in relationships. Honestly I feel like most young adults are probably more selfish in relationships than she was and I don’t think anything but the pain of messing up those relationships and growing up over time will change that….

Most of the stories like what you described are about those characters growing out of that behavior. Did you only watch the first 30 minutes?
