Nano Machine

Dec 20, 2022

Have to stop trusting all these high reviews on this website. This story is just your generic power fantasy manhwa with everything thrown into it.  The MC cheats his way through the story and never develops as a character. It gets so boring to see this nano machine do everything for him. I don't care for the MC being able to copy martial arts or absorb books, I want to see him struggle and overcome obstacles.

Love Lies

May 8, 2022

FL is so hard to like. She's set up to seem like she's completely different from all the rest: she's not a big fan of ML, she's tomboyish, and she wears her heart on her sleeve. Despite that, she is still a classic damsel in distress who constantly lets people step over her and only stands up for herself when her prince is there. It's frustrating to see her get bullied and thrashed around.  She constantly falls for her cousin's schemes. The ML schemes to help her, but it's so stupidly messy on how he does so. He's this powerful guy who likes her, but the first thing he should've done was to help her... See full review

Master Villainess the Invincible!

Jan 22, 2022

It combines your typical wuxia story with your typical shoujo isekai story into one, but does it in the most generic, boring way. If you want to increase your chances of enjoying this story, either throw your brain out the window and ignore the fact that she gets OP powers from eating a random ginseng, or skip the long-ass preview (spoiler) in the first chapter, detailing all the super generic events that will happen in the future.

Return of the Blossoming Blade

Jan 20, 2022

I am speechless as to how to describe just how amazing this manhwa has been so far.

The MC, in particular, is very likable. He seems like an idiot with no common sense, but he's actually very intelligent when it comes to scheming and all other things. You'll be very surprised to see how intelligent he just is. He has this sort of haughty but confident personality; these kinds of personalities on protagonists can be cringey if not done right, but the author writes him so perfectly that it's amazing to read. I enjoy watching him go through all the events and seeing the battle scenes. The art is very... See full review

Crush of a Lifetime

Jan 19, 2022

I could tolerate the flaws of the MC and decision flaws of the ML. I really liked the fluff that was going on between them, and if it had just ended there. I would have given this a 4.5 with how much I enjoyed the fluff. Then, past chapter 73 and everything literally goes downhill in one full swoop. I am horrified at how an author can butcher such a story like that. She should've ended it then, and it would've been fine. So, word of caution, read until around chapter 73 and stop. Just pretend that the story's over, and you'll be good.

The Elixir of the Sun

Jan 17, 2022

It's been so long since I've read something that had me so excited. With every chapter I found myself pondering "why is that after reading 600+ mangas, that I've uncovered this gem so late?" Contrary to some reviews, I find this FL very endearing. Her tragic backstory made me cry for her. I love how sincere and straightforward she is when it comes to telling her feelings. People say that she acts ditzy and clumsy, but I don't think that at all. You can't expect someone who was always on the brink of starvation to act like those scheming, political mastermind villainesses you read in other... See full review

Searching for My Father

Aug 25, 2021

I'm a sucker for daddy-daughter manhwas, and I thought that the whole premise sounded interesting. After bearing through 21 chapters, I couldn't take it anymore and dropped it.  The whole entire beginning I was wondering why the father wasn't a part of her and her mother's life. It was a whole mystery to me, and I kept reading through the chapters, waiting to see why he left. Was it because he was in a war? Was he imprisoned? Just what was it? And when I finally read what had happened to him, without spoiling it, I was dumbfounded. You can just tell that the author made up a half-assed reason as to... See full review

Oniros Fall in Love

Jul 7, 2021

I usually have low expectations for manhuas, but this is completely different from the rest. First, the terrible ML you usually find in manhuas is not here at all. The ML of this story is actually very kind. He's the typical rich young master who can't touch girls and may seem cold, but he treats the FL kindly.  The dumb, annoying, and reckless FL in typical manhuas is not here, too. The FL is actually smart and logical. She uses her brain to clear up misunderstandings, and it's so satisfying to see an FL like this. The art is phenomenal as well! The colors, the way their characters are drawn... See full review

Ran the Peerless Beauty

May 4, 2021

This is one of my few favorite shoujo mangas. I have never liked a female lead so much from a manga like this before. She's so freaking beautiful. I always gasp whenever I see her face. She's very kind and sweet, but she has her own realistic insecurities, too. She's also not your typical frustrating, ditzy shoujo protagonist who always leans into misunderstandings. She voices her own thoughts, despite how introverted and anxious she is. The male lead's also super likable. Typically, shoujo male leads toy with the female lead and are pretty much jerks, but this guy is such a sweet bean. He's kind... See full review

My Lovely Girl

May 2, 2021

I tend to stray away from reading manhuas because the male leads are usually abusive and degrading and the storylines are always all over the place. This manhua, however, is completely different. The art itself already separates itself from every manga out there. I literally screenshotted so many scenes from the manhua because the characters were literal eyecandies. The male lead is also freaking amazing, like can I just have him? He's sweet, kind, and very devoted to the female lead. The female lead isn't your ditzy, annoying character, too. She's very beautiful, independent, smart, and amazing, and I... See full review

Solo Leveling

Nov 28, 2020

People always claim that this is the best manhwa, but I feel like it's because they haven't read any other ones. Every chapter is the same with the character defeating monsters just to level up. It repeats like this for the rest of the story with more higher level bosses come in. The MC doesn't have any development to him at all, and no, leveling up does not count towards his development. There's nothing memorable about him besides him being a hunter. There isn't anything unique about this story – nothing that stands out, and before you say it's because there's still more to come, the story's still... See full review

Am I Your Daughter?

Nov 23, 2020

Usually, I'm a sucker for manhwas like this with the daddy-daughter trope, but there seems to be an oversaturation of manhwas like this with poor execution of the trope. The relationship between the main character and her father is so forced, like the author just wanted to have it there so she could hop on the hype train with all the other daddy-daughter manhwas. The male lead, the prince, is so bland – it's like he was just added in so the author could tick off the romance genre. The manhwa's just bland. The characters are frustrating to read about. This is just another one of those manhwas where... See full review

Harley Takes the House

Nov 19, 2020

I was really excited to read another work of Spoon's. I had high expectations after reading Who Made Me a Princess, but unfortunately I was thoroughly disappointed. The MC time travels to when she was younger. She gets ruthlessly bullied by her siblings, and instead of doing anything about it, she just lets them be. Fast forward a few years later, and they're all really close siblings. It doesn't make since how she could live such a traumatic childhood twice and not have any misgivings towards her siblings. Additionally, the romantic relationship between her and her older brother is just so out of the... See full review

Tower of God

May 19, 2020

Don't be discouraged by the art. I was discouraged by the art and had been putting off this story for a long time, but behind the art there's an incredible story. Never have I read a story so intricate like Tower of God. There's never a dull moment in the story. There's no fillers. There's no pointless plot points. The story just keeps getting better and better and the art does too. The art in the later half is amazing --- the coloring and the fight scenes will make you speechless.  The characters are developed so well. I've never seen a manga where the author makes sure to develop each and... See full review

Vampire Academy

May 11, 2020

This isn't your typical cringey vampire story. I wish this wasn't named Vampire Academy because the whole story gives off a completely different feel from the title.  The synopsis does not accurately describe the story. She doesn't spend the entire 70 chapters trying to hide her identity as a Goddess. It literally only happened in the first chapter.  The cover art might scare you away, but the art of the story isn't bad at all. The ML looks very handsome... The story is interesting with the twin moons and all, but if you're looking for something deep, this isn't for you. This is meant to be a... See full review

Lady Baby

May 1, 2020

If you can stomach a creepy baby that can speak complex sentences, use vocabulary words that a newborn shouldn't know, a five-year-old who has an intensive knowledge about politics and constantly disciplines her elders, and people's obscene obsession over a child, then by all means read this manga. As for me, I had to stop reading a couple of times because the cringe was so hard to withstand. The MC is reincarnated into a baby, but despite having been taught proper education, lacks the common sense of acting her age. Every single person obsesses over her (i.e. people she's only met for five seconds being... See full review

Descent of the Demon Master

Apr 30, 2020

This isn't your typical manga where the OP MC battles new enemies and ventures off to save the world. The MC's just trying to live a normal life with OP powers, and it's incredibly entertaining. The dude's so dense about how overpowered he is and the way everyone is shocked by how OP he is makes it funny.  Of course, it might be a little boring and slow to pick up at the beginning, but once the secretary arrives, that's when everything becomes funny. It's honestly a nice break from reading mangas filled with dramatic battles from the beginning to the end. You get your dose of satisfaction from... See full review

The Gamer - Part 3

Apr 30, 2020

The first part exceeded my expectations, but towards the end of part two, everything started to go downhill. First off, there needs to be a Harem tag because the MC gets surrounded by delusional girls begging for his attention, and instead of focusing on eliminating his enemies and progressing the plot further, the writer chooses to focus on the MC's harem instead. Now, I'm usually not against harems, but the fact that it's greatly hindering the plot from developing is what irritates me to no end. This story was on trek to becoming an amazing manga for me, but with it dragging on and on and focusing on... See full review

The Soulless Duchess

Apr 25, 2020

The story starts off with your typical aristocrat suffering from an abusive household, her wanting to escape from it by proposing a loveless marriage with another noble, and the two eventually falling in love --- despite agreeing not to in the first place. Although it's very similar to other manhwas, I continued reading it in hopes of falling in love with the characters, but for the first 30 chapters or so, I could not find myself charmed by the protagonist. She is bland. The title The Duchess with an Empty Soul is not about her having an empty soul from her past but her being such a... See full review
