 I'm not going to give a summary but I'll give my full opinion with as few spoilers as possible.  When I started watching Nana I was immediately hooked, I loved the fashion, the music, the characters, etc, however, when a certain plot twist is introduced it completely killed my interest. Said plot twist is a very common one in fanfictions and it totally ruins perfectly good stories, I agree that a plot twist is a good idea but it was not played out properly.  Hachi whom I loved turns into perhaps one of the most unrelatable characters ever, her original personality was much more realistic...
