Takane & Hana

May 4, 2024

I had a good time with this series. For me it little different perspective since I am almost 30 reading this so a lot times I can relate more to Takane, but still reminder some of these feelings that Hana had when I was her age. I really like that Handa is blunt it reminds me of myself and isn't ashamed of who she is give her props espcially at that age. At first Takane was bit annoying all about himseldf, but he acutally grew on me after a while. Two peoples from two different worlds not jsut age gap from super rich to average joe. I think Hana repsents more women than people realize. we don't want overlfy... See full review

Blank Canvas: My So-Called Artist’s Journey

Apr 28, 2024

The only othyer work I have read by this author is Princess Jellyfish. THis author has her own style that was for sure and it was intresing reading a autobiogrphy in manga form, such a perfect idea. It was intresing to see how she was ashamed to tell her master she wanted to be a manga artist and not do fine art. It felt so real and autheic that she was really replecting thsi period in her life that was hard. I knew being a manga arist was hard, but never relized on the detials, so very eye openiend. She had some intresting people in her life. I do wish we got to find out who the dad is to her son though I... See full review

The Girl That Can't Get a Girlfriend

Apr 2, 2024

I really enjoyed this. I am not part of the LGTBQ+, but this story is so reliable. Most people espically in nerdy hobbies struggling with self esteem issues and I love how it just a one volume story how the author grew as a person. The way she draws her love intrests as shojo style but herself drawn very basic is very cool justxapistioning. Since autobigoraphy many people can relate to this since most people want to be loved by someone, but sometimes need to learn to love themselves. The way the author is heartbroken a lot of us can realte we may not go the extreme she did, but we all have that one ex that... See full review

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

Feb 27, 2024

For a spin off series I enjoyed it. Compared to original MHA there are less character and they actually get developed so we are not ping ponging everywhere with little development. The art matches the original series. This story takes place before Deuku's story not sure how long, but I would say a few years since I believe by the main story Aizwia had already teaches a few groups of students before. It kind felt like a little bit of a prequel since we see a lot of heroes we already met before. I like that Koichi is a college student who is kind of chill. I do not particular care that Pop has romance with... See full review

Boys Run the Riot

Sep 30, 2023

I was surprised to find this sereis in my library no less so I was able to read the whole series at once with no breaks in between awaiting for the next volume. Man the art in this very appealing and I feel like it really encompused how the transgender community feels espically nice since a lot times people think of transgender people mainly being male body, but idenitfy as female. The graffti art is very cool style for Ryo to expepress himself and how he feels being trapped in a female body. It was cool that it was really a gang of more deliguent kids as the center or the story, so it felt more relatable... See full review

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Jul 13, 2023

I loved the game when it orginally came out in 2006 so I was exticed that this got adapted to a manga. It is weird to see Link have dialoge. The art is close to the game deisgn and it followed the game plot faily close. I like comparing the story to the manga. An ejoyable adaption of my fav Zelda game.

Kitchen Princess

Mar 11, 2023

I am a sucker for a Shojo series even as a 28 year old woman, so when I found out who the real Flan Prince was it was very predictable, but I am also not a middle school girl would probably be more surprised than I was. For a Shojo series it tackled eatting disorders and greif for a cooking manga I did not expect that at all, so that was very refreshing. This seris has a lot of Shojo like vibes, so if that is your thing I would recommend it. I happen to come across this at my local libarary. I read this when I was going through a hard time and was very comforting. The art seems to be typical of its time. I... See full review

Kenka Bancho Otome: Love’s Battle Royale

Nov 25, 2022

For a manga based off a dating sim game there was deep character growth wow. I felt like I really got to know the boys. There are some unasnwered questions maybe another volume to tie everything together, but had a low expection knowing it based off a video game. Keep on kicking ass Hikaru!
