No satisfying ending,  cliffhangers on episode 12. It basically says  "Go read the manga" which doesn't constitute an excuse for an anime. 

Also logic is thrown out the window for the last two episodes. Characters are thrown into convenient positions with no explanation. 

Why is a main character hanging out on this pier during a typhoon? 

Shh! Don't question it. It's completely normal to have a nice tea on a pier during a typhoon. And wow he was in the right place at the right time to meet this other character isn't that great?!

Also: "the boat is wet... they're still close..."

THE BOAT IS ON A BEACH AND THERE WAS JUST A TYPHOON. OF COURSE IT'S WET YOU DEMENTED TWIG! 

It's a shame because this was doing so well but cutting down to 13 minute blocks probably killed opportunities for proper storytelling.
