Love and Truth

May 13, 2021

Okay I don't know why the reviews to this are so high. It was bad. Like really bad. The incest obviously didn't bother me, but the amount of unreasonable jealousy in this was astounding. These siblings have had multiple thirds to their polyamorous relationship for years, and just now do they "suddenly" forget how to act. The jealousy is so bad that they use it as an excuse to exercise rape and abusive tendencies. The whole thing is toxic, and not even in a "hot forbidden" way. It's just bad. Would NOT recommend to ANYONE.

Work, Fight and Love

Apr 9, 2021

Oh my gawd.  This story was stupidly amazing. Like unreasonably. There were SO MANY THING I LIKE ABOUT THIS so let me just go ahead and condense it down to two. Let's go.  1. The characters.  FUCK. The cast was AMAZING. Our main character, Soohan, is your average joe. He likes the simple life. He likes his job at an (almost bankrupt) company, and he's got a lover who he dearly enjoys. His lover (his BOSS is his lover ahahaha) is a good guy. He treats Soohan right, he's devoted, and for the most part, he's unproblematic. (I said FOR THE MOST PART.) His boss (who's name escapes me currently)... See full review

The Silent Reading Club

Mar 12, 2021

I really couldn't recommend a bigger waste of time of a manhwa if I tried.  The format was awful. This says 82 chapters, but it really only has 41. Why, you ask? Because the author takes the last half of the chapter, and copy paste REPEATS it in the next chapter, which takes up half of that chapter. They're not cliff notes, it's not a summary, it's a full body repeat, a copy and paste with all the spacing. By itself, this is tedious, but as someone who pays for each chapter? It's fucking expensive.  And the plot. The plot. Okay so I see enough reviews that are going on... See full review

Girl Jock Empress

Mar 9, 2021

There isn't a lot I can say about this fic outside of the reasons I dropped it, so I'm going to try my best to start with the positives.  The art was great, and there was little to no pitting women against each other for the sake of plot device. I really appreciated that. The main character's "love rival" was very sweet and they got along very well, and that was a nice refreshing take on the usual "love triangle" that exists inmost mangas.  But outside of these two things, there's nothing else for me to compliment it on. I could spend hours listing all the things I didn'tlike... See full review

Sweet As Hell

Mar 7, 2021

All chapters I've read are off of the Lezhin. I paid for every single episode/chapter. I got about as far as chapter 10. I can't. I get that shitty things happen to people, bad luck, accidents, they get taken advantage of, whatever, I do.

But like it's literally at the point where Jung Min puts himself in these situations, PURPOSEFULLY, and I can't even imagine being friends with someone like that. Like part of being a good friend is making sure that you take care of you so that your friend won't worry. (Choi Eui-hyun, our "top" and main character is his BEST friend on top of being friends... Shounen no Kyoukai

Oct 18, 2020

The story line was good, and the struggles were realistic. Even most of the characters were alright, but I had to rate it low for one character: Rin. There is no character in all of manga history that I disliked more than him. I get what the author was trying to do; s/he was trying to garner the sympathy for someone in an unfortunate situation of fate, caught unawares by circumstance. But god if I didn't cringe every time he chased after SOMEONE ELSE'S BONDED MATE. They weren't just dating. They weren't casual. They've been LIFE PARTNERS and they were bonded despite the adversity they faced, and here... See full review

A Man of Virtue

Oct 13, 2020

HELLO READERS LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO ONE OF MY TOP 25 BL MANHWA TO MAKE IT TO MY "Would Reread Again" LIST!!  Disclaimer: I paid for every single episode that I read :) I am not being paid to write this review (even though I wish I were.)  This is amazing and here are the reasons why:  It's an enemies-to-lovers trope where the narration is coming from the "bottom's" perspective.  The art is amazing, it's consistent, and it's funny. Bro, you would not believe how often I laughed literally out loud in my little room by myself.  The characters are SO... My Mother's Lover

Oct 13, 2020

Ok so let me clear something up: the premise and actual plot of this manhwa is amazing.  "Well if that's the case, RiceBear, why did you rate it so low?" Thank you for asking, dear reader, LET ME TELL YOU WHY. So all the manhwa I read, I read on the official (PAID) sites. (I'm poor as f*ck because I'm in college, y'all probably know the drill but I digress), however, I STILL PAY FOR EVERYTHING I READ because I believe that the author/artist/etc should get their credit (money) where it's due. Although it costs me a ton of money, I try to pitch in as a thank you for their efforts. Reading it... See full review
