Of course I respect your opinion even though mine differs quite a bit. Just... You do realize the time skipped from 2006 to 2010 at the end right? So yeah it's not a lot better, but Airi is 21 (an adult fully able to consent with a 33yr old) when she is reintroduced. Besides in this timeline she probably has no clue how old he is, there is no harm in approaching him. Besides, just because she initiated a split-second conversation with Satoru at the end doesn't mean it HAS to be a romantic reintroduction.  And a similar thing goes for Kayo. The universe of time-travel in Erased is not thoroughly explained. It is very likely that Satoru's past and present self are blending together rather than it just being a "possession" from his future self. Even if this is not the case you can't immediately argue that it has to be something untoward. Especially since it's very common for children to have such platonic relationships with each other. A lot of people forget that affection does not have to be romantic and that it is very common for children of all genders who are passed the "cooties" stage but have usually not yet entered the lusting world of puberty to hold hands with each other and hug. Even as an adult, I am very affectionate with all of my friends.  A comment on Kenya's intelligence... You probably should not say that he is too smart to be a 10yr old. There are 100s of reasons why he could understand a situation like this without having to have it explained. There are some ten-year-olds who are more emotionally intelligent than some thirty-year-olds. He could be a prodigy. He could have been raised in a family that taught him to be mature and read between the lines. If all of the kids in the anime had this level of intelligence it would make no sense (unless it was included in the premise of the show.) Kids can be more resilient than you think. Just look at The Promised Neverland for example.  And finally, while the community's immediate disrespect of Airi's father could be seen as extreme to some, in certain cultures and many small communities any form of trust-abuse can be regarded very negatively. In a society like America, people are just... Used to this kind of thing? But in a small town where everyone knows each other and thinks everyone is good, it can make you wonder. But thank you for leaving a review! I really enjoy reading them and I certainly agree with quite a few of your other points :)
ERASED

I watched this anime when it originally aired in the winter season of 2016, and back then I really liked it, thought it was amazing, and gave it a 10/10 without much thought. A couple of my close friends gave me a lot of crap for that because they think Erased is garbage. It's been three years...
