The mecha genre is okay and right now I'm on a Kurogane no Linebarrel manga kick after having completed Trigun Maximum.
A few friends of mine are bigger mecha nerds than I am and yet, they never read said manga which has too much character development to fit into 26 episodes.
Exactly! Apart from him being Batman and James Bond rolled into one, I like the fact that he can persevere against an existential crisis in a post-apocalyptic world full of amnesia.
