Fetish

The title for this manga, "Fetish", is misleading, to say the least. There are no extreme sex scenes or "fetish-y" images (except for chapter 3, sort of) until the very last chapter. STORY  I thought that it would be a single volume of various stories with the same cast of characters. I was wrong. Each chapter has its own characters and its own story. I found out after reading half of the chapters that it would end without a really satisfying conclusion. Yes it ENDED, something HAPPENED, but it made you want ask, "is there just ONE MORE PAGE? Please? Just one... See full review

Oh boy.
I love Madoka Magica. I adore it to bits. I love that they take a rather ridiculous genre and treat it with class and seriousness. Mahou Shoujo Kazumi Magica: The Innocent Malice feels like a bad fan-comic. An amnesiac girl named Kazumi is naked in a trunk and she tumbles out onto the lap of a grown man. Cue me rolling my eyes.

Madoka Magica had plenty of oppertunities to give people some fanservice and instead gives the Quartet more dignity than that. Then along comes Kazumi, naked, innocent, naive and her... See full review

Wonderful storyline. It has a reality factor to it that I just love, none of it seems fake and you end up rooting for the main character anyways. A truly moving series, it goes up there with Slam Dunk and Prince of Tennis.

There is something to be said about a manga that manages to combine extreme guro with psychological motivations: Litchi Hikari Club does it brilliantly. It is a story of betrayal, insanity and obsession and as such it is hardly pretty and yet the artwork is gorgeous and entrancing. Here lies one of the strengths of this very original manga: its polarity of beauty and ugliness juxtaposed with artistry.  The plot strikes one as bizarre and perhaps even quirky, a group of middle school boys gather in a club to build the ultimate thinking machine. It could be comedy, indeed there are some moments of... See full review

Fruits Basket, although cliche in some aspects is also very original and different. It is a unique love story with lovable characters and memorable moments. It incorporates a healthy balance of humour and romance so it is perfect for both male and female readers. It tells the story of a girl, Tohru Honda who gets caught up in the lives of the Sohma family, a family haunted by a curse. She is sworn to secrecy and is allowed to stay on and live with several members of the family.
The story leaves you on the edge of your seat and always wanting more and I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone!

Fruits Basket.  The creme de la creme of shojo!  The artwork is flawless, the characters are endlessly endearing, and the story is more memorable and well-developed than any other I've read. The main protagonist, Tohru Honda, takes some getting used to.  She is unbelievably optimistic and almost too selfless at first, but as we grow to understand her, we love her as someone admirable and pure of heart.  Not something that a lot of modern characters can lay claim to. The main storyline seems almost sickenly cute in description: when the members of the Sohma are hugged by someone of the... See full review

Story 7/10 It was a very enjoyable manga with a great plot if not a little bit repetitive. A good read for some and not so very good for others. Art 5/10 The reason why I say 5/10 is because the story board was very bland and seemed extremley unfinished. It seemed that the author was in an extreme rush to get it done and did not take the time to give the characters any shading to make them more 3-D. They seemed extremely flat and boring if one was to flip through the pages. I really wished the author put more time and effort into the manga, illistration wise. STORY 10/10 A very unique way to have a story! It was some new way to look at vampires and exactly what is the true meaning of a monster. It had a very nice flow in the plot and was easy to keep up with and easy to read. It kept you on your toes and gave you a sense of connection with the main character, Saya. CHARACTERS 9/10 I rather enjoyed this manga it had a very unique personality for each character and the main character was a new way to look at somebody who is forced to become a hero. The only thing I hated a lot was the character Kai. He always was risking getting them all killed if you ask me... See full review

Stray Little Devil has the combination of fantasy, romance, mystery and action. It's a must read if your intrested in the whole concept of good/bad angel/devil kind of thing. It has a great storyline that had the potential to produce more than just Five volumes and possibly even a anime series. The only problems i saw in it was that it seemed too fast paced leaving alot of empty spaces that could have been filed. The relationship between Pam and Linfa/Rinka could have been more developed showing scences of them more together exchanging conversation would have been better... See full review

In my personal opinion one of the best and more dramatic mangas i've seen. LOTS of blood but with a needed purpouse, not just to fill the blanks. The characters are just great, you can see how they evolve and mature... or not! Combined with a pretty good story, i've heard people say is a lil' slow, but for me the rhythm was just fine. A rare jewel, totally recomended for those who love the style, the gore/blood and dramatic turns in histories.

I am a romantic kind of person but I am not a huge girly girl.  I knew what to semi expect from this manga since it involved romance and most romances that I have read involve a girl who is very shy and reacts out of proportion and the boy always seems to want to protect the girl from any evil possible.  I find that this manga has character that deviates from that.  This manga has made me laugh and smile and if you want a good laugh and smile, read it.  :3

Published by Kodansha, a publisher that generally puts out mainly seinen manga, Chi's Sweet Home can be considered "Cuteness for grownups."  The main premise of this manga is simple:  A little boy finds a stray kitten in the park one day, and convinces his mom to take the kitten home.  The dramatic tension arises when we learn that the apartment building they live in does not allow pets.  Following that, the family comes up with creative ways to hide the fact they have a cat, and genuinely grow to love the kitten, which they name Chi.  The story is very simple and... Very good for a typical shoujo love triangle story.  I was very impressed with Makoto, the main female character.  Unlike the females in other love triangle stories I've read, she seemed to be less stupid/desperate when it came to love.  The story was short enough to prevent boredom, and it told the whole story without having to cut corners.  I would totally recomend it to a friend.

Well , generally so , the story can get very interesting at times but it moves at a VERY SLOW PACE. It takes VOLUMES of Mangas before the general plotline starts to budge but I must admit , the terms and concept of the Anime is unique , fresh and things can get pretty surprising at times.
The story also moves in a mini-arc manner , with every few episodes being a different girl's Arc of which Keima must capture their hearts. Surprisingly , the author does come up with new settings once in a while so the viewer would not get bored from the typical settings and situations all the time and since it... See full review

This is, without a doubt, one of the 2 best mangas that I have ever read in my life. The characters are engaging and even dynamic. Every one of them has something unique to them that they are known for, and they stick to that. It's not just to pull the reader in in the beginning, but it is kept constant and even plays pivotal roles in the storyline! The art has a very comical feel to it most of the time, but it has a very versatile style. When there is cause for it, it has a very comical feel and adds to the humor. When the situation in the plot is moving more quickly, though, it also has a very real... See full review

Sundome presents something of a dilemma to me; the story itself is decent, and it's so funny that I genuinely laugh out loud while reading it, which I find doesn't happen often with manga. But because the plot revolves around the sexual exploits of high school students, I feel bad for reading it. I laugh while reading it, but I'm also constantly looking over my shoulder incase any one catches me reading it. It's hard to explain it really, I think I'd recommend it to any one who likes good comedy manga, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I actually knew in person because of what they'd think of me for... In my opinion what Ryu Kum Chel does with all the characters is very cool. Everytime a new charcter is shown he will tell you some background information about that character. Unlike, some other manga or manhwa that doesn't give some background informations about the character always bothered me because, I didn't know why and how they came to be about. Overall, Ares is VERY action packed and enjoyable to read if... See full review

Because i'm just going to be ranting about the good/bad parts of this manga for the entire duration of the review beyond this point, I'll start with a recommendation.  I recommend this manga to anyone who isn't afraid of that shadow in their closet and/or are very sadistic. oh, or a normal person who likes horror and is alright with a TINNNNY bit of blood.  heheh. This sidestory takes place 20 years after the great Hinamizawa disaster that killed the village's entire population. The village has been abandoned for twenty years, yet on the same night five strangers (among them a certain Mion Sonozaki) meet eachother. One of them bears a striking resemblance with... Ken Akamatsu’s Negima is widely regarded as one of the best (currently ongoing) fighting shounen. This is usually attributed to its many cool characters, great fights and large amounts of fanservice. But that’s a lie. The series starts off as a harem manga revolving around a young Welsh boy named Negi Springfield. He’s an apprentice wizard of a mage guild sent on a mission: he is to travel to Japan and become a teacher in an all-girls high school.  What all of this has to do with wizardry is never really made clear. Though he is told that he will be punished (by being transformed... See full review
