Peach Girl

Story: Drama, drama, drama. It's like a high school soap opera. It's really addicting and you're done with a volume before you know. It's got plenty of drama, comedy and romance. It can be pretty melodramatic at times but it does good with what it's going for. I don't have as much problem with the story as I do with the characters but I'll get to that. I did like the ending. Warning though: it's very addicting. VERY ADDICTING. Also, I did like the Peach Girl code: Love yourself for who you are. I thought it was a really nice touch. Art: The art is ok. Sometimes the dramatic scenes don't do it for... See full review

The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service

Overview Not for the weak of heart, Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service is a 13 volume (currently 11 published) dark comedy from the mind of Eiji Otsuka, creator of MPD Psycho. The story focuses around a group of graduates of a Buddhist college who start a 'club' to help them make some money. Each of the five group members has a specific talent; Ao Sasaki is a skilled hacker and the 'head' of the Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service, Kuro Karatsu can talk to the dead, Mako Numata can dowse (only for bodies though!), Keiko Makino is a trained embalmer and Yuji Yata can channel aliens, one specifically - the puppet... Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Story 7/10
My best friend frequently complains when great writers shun editing. He argues that by stripping your message down to its juciest part, it becomes inherently better. With Miyazaki, the jury is out. Most western audiences know him for sumptuously animated movies with simple fairy tale plots that say so much by attempting so little in a narrative sense. But when reading the source manga for Nausicaa, you have to wonder how much of his great vision and ambition he leaves on the cutting-room floor when he makes a movie. Epic in scope, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind quickly... See full review

Blood: The Last Vampire 2002

I was largely unimpressed with this adaptation. Although I loved the "feel" of it being closer to the original, the liberties that were taken with the story and characters was just too much for me. I suppose this fits into the alternate history, "what if" category. It presents an interesting conclusion, in that it's different, but different isn't always good, and the change doesn't suit Saya at all, in my opinion.      The story was pretty standard fare as far as the series is concerned, nothing special, aside from the major plot... The Female Fridge No. 1

This story was beyond strange.  Basically, a woman wakes up, and is suddenly a fridge in an apartment belonging to a man she likes.  The art is bad, and we so no depth to the characters at all.  It's meant to be funny, but it comes off just a bit weird.  Very original, but not in a good way.  At 12 pages long, you might as well give it a shot.

This one-shot is...odd to say the least.  It does end up being funny, and at 9 pages, is just short enough to be funny without getting too disturbing.  The animation is fairly simple.  The characters get the job done.  This one-shot will give you a couple of good laughs in the five minutes it takes to read, so go ahead and enjoy!

This one shot was sent to me by my dear friend NimirRa on a day when I really REALLY needed some cheering up. When I clicked on the link I saw the english title Yamamoto Ear Cleaning Shop. Right away I knew I was going to fall in love with this delightful short. Ear cleaning is a very important thing to me that I take quite seriously at times. Sometimes I wish that I could look at it through a microscope just cause. So when I saw that someone took the time to draw out a one shot about this very subject it was like I did it myself. I personally don't... See full review

Children Can't Choose Their Parents is a wonderful story about forbidden love. How it effects those who are in love and those that are around the strange couple in love. All I can say is you will either be laughing, crying, or disgusted. The surprise ending will keep you on your toes and probably make you ponder a lot of things.

It's short, sweet, and straight to the point. It will tug at your heart strings if you have ever owned an animal and considered it more than just a pet and an actual part of the family. The other great thing is that we get to see how much a pet feels about us even when we are old and wrinkly. It may make you cry. I know I almost did.

This annoyingly cute story isn't much in terms of substance, but is a lot in terms of visual adorability. If you like a manga that's written for the illustrations and not illustrated for the writing then this is perfect for you. If you just want to go "MOE!" over the fact that the perpetually chibi-esque male bad-ass devil character suddenly has a cat tail and ears, this manga is perfect for you. If you love looking at pictures more than enjoying a good plot, this manga's perfect for you. Other than that, there isn't much in terms of redeem-ability.  I want the last few hours of my... I really wish this was a full series though and went in depth with their relationship. But over all its pretty funny and a good quick read.

Story: I'm a fan of the vampire genre but it can become overdone. However, Karin adds a nice fresh twist to it (and a funny one at it). It may not make the most amount of sense but it still interesting. I really enjoyed this romantic comedy. It had plenty of romance, humor and plot twist to keep it going. The pacing was good. Not too fast but things didn't drag on too much either. Each plot line was developed and concluding nicely. You are left with a few questions but not too many. The romance wasn't shallow and the humor was hilarious. Any shoujo fan would love this. The battle was a... See full review

Story: Anyone who has read my review of Law of Ueki anime will know that I love this series and have been sucked into its wacky world twice already now. So when I felt like drifting off into a world of magically-enhanced teenagers and madcap battles for a third time, reading the manga seemed like the natural next step of my Ueki voyage. Kousuke Ueki is a perfectly normal middle school student who, like every other decent boy of his age, transforms manky bits of rubbish into monolithic trees in order to uphold his strong sense of justice. Review for Anedoki - lEmina: The scores are reflected of my thoughts on the Anedoki so they may seem lenient to others. Anyway, when I first started to read it, all of the volumes were out and was wondering how they'll fit a story in 26 chapters! As I started reading it the story seemed bizzare, a girl aged of 17 suddenly moving in with a 13 year old boy. Of course, this only happens in Manga so it was good the writer of the manga was so creative. The ecchi-ness was kept very nice. I shall not ruin it for others, but it has what you expect: bathroom scenes, perky breasts. In all, if you enjoy love... See full review

Tokyo Boys & Girls

I would recomend this... but not really as a high priority. The plot line of Tokyo Boys and Girls is easy to fall into, but because the art is dated and the basic story is anything but basic, it's easy to get distracted, too. I love the back story of Mimori and Haruta, but all the characters have moments when you just kind of want to slap them. It's a good story and I enjoyed it, but others might not find it worth while.

Okay, while reading this, I couldn't help but notice little details here and there that reminded me of another manga that I had read not too long ago. I'm not going to go into details on that here, because that is not what this review is about. I really enjoyed the dialogue even though it sounded just a little corny at times. The art was rather interesting, in that it reminded me of another of my favorite mangakas. The character development continued on rather smoothly, leaving me hanging on a cliff until I finished it. Premise - A human stuck in a monster school falls in love with a vampire. Plot Exposition - It's almost like this chapter is identical to the last one! Story: Life is full of inevitabilities and uncertainties. Considering how much I loved the first Law of Ueki manga and the anime adaptation, I was bound to read the five-volume follow up, Law of Ueki Plus. Whether I liked it or not was not so obvious, since sequels are a bit of a dangerous area; some simply repeat the format of previous successes and feel uninspired or dull as a result, whereas others simply lack that spark of the original and thus taint one’s adoration for the source material. Before I start this review, I must admit that this is one of my favorite manga, and it might seem a bit biased.  Petshop of Horrors tells the story of Count D, the owner of a mysterious petshop that sells strange and oftentimes dangerous animals. STORY: 9/10For the vast majority of the series, each chapter serves as a self contained story.  Almost each chapter deals with a random person finding D's shop, obtaining an animal that will help them with their life (and I use the term animal very loosely), and then we see the results, good or bad, of their behavior.  There is an overarching... It's a pirate manga with a crew of goodly pirates who spend their days fighting other pirates, overthrowing corrupt governments, and generally being badass, with plenty comedy and fantastic elements thrown in. However, that fails to truly describe what One Piece is. One Piece is a heartwarming tale of achievement despite the odds. Honestly, this completely changed my stance on not having a relationship with a guy who's shorter than me. Plenty of females, including myself at one point, would never dream of dating a guy who's shorter. That would be so unattractive, not romantic, especially since a tall girl and short guy would not look like a cute couple. It hasn't got much of anything else. Its a good quick read. It's one of my favorites, so I'd recommend it to the people who like darker romance. If you're not into that, you probably won't be into this. But sometimes you get lost in it, But it's fun, really.ART - Well,it looks like someone made it pretty fast, but I think it fits perfectly. :D At begging I had problem with knowing who is who,but I learned it.CHARACTERS - Try to imagine Japan,Spain,England or USA as a boy. And you have characters :D But they do fit their country. For example, Italy is two boys, and they're-italians :D Or England,he's... See full review

I loved this manga... what there was of it. I'm not really a shoujo person, and the plot mildly resembled that of Inuyasha, but it could have been much better executed, especially with the characters.Unfortunately, the story just starts to get going when the manga is abruptly cut short.  The end of volume 1 introduces a whole group of interesting supporting characters, villains, backstory and potential plot.  Volume two makes the characters live happily ever after without ever mentioning any of the above again.I'd recomend reading it, but only if you can handle the dissapointment of the fact that... Some people might glance at this manga and dismiss it as fanservice-y, perverted, or whatever. But this manga actually goes much deeper than that. It has a lot of wisdom to say about growing up and how a young man should live their life. Normally, I would keep harem manga far away from a teenage boy (for obvious reasons.) This one, I wouldn't. I approve.</div>

DearS.. Hopefully You've already have read what its about. - So We're cutting right to the Review Part .. :P- Fat text without [] Should be read- Fat text with [ --- ] Is just for fun- MY OPINION   [Heavy Dark Voice]DearS, is just a great story, if you watched the anime first , like i did. And you felt like the story wasn't completed, or you just want more DearS. Then read this serie, because its much more detailed then the anime. The characters is way more described then in the anime, witch is really good. You will get a whole story, that ends well, as in well i mean that its not some cut of ending... See full review

Overall, I thought it was pretty sweet. I had my fan-girl moment at the end, but at the same time, I wasn't satisfied. It felt like a cliffhanger at the end, I minded and at the same time I didn't. It was a light romance manga, which I appreciated. There are a lot of good reviews on this manga online, but there are a few bad ones. Haruna was ditsy at moments which she shouldn't be at times, but I really loved her. In many ways, Haruna is unique. She was very outspoken about things and voiced her opinion many times. This manga made me smile and sometimes groan at certain times, but you could tell Haruna was... See full review

Project X: Cup Noodle

Story: I can’t honestly say that I have any particular criteria when it comes to deciding what manga to pick up; most of the time it boils down to whether the plot sounds vaguely interesting, if I liked the anime, or if it needs an entry on the site. So when it came to Project X: Cup Noodle my chain of reasoning went as follows: “Hmm it has an odd name and I do like instant ramen. Hang on… a manga about cup noodles?! Eh it’s only one volume and needs a synopsis. Sod it, why not?” Luckily this was one gamble that didn’t prove to be a complete waste of my... See full review
