How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord

corath89's avatar

Thought It was a good break anime with histarical comedy and a overall good action. But the series could have been better if the plot twist wasnt so obvious. Diablo was a great Op character, and the girls where great the situation comedy involved was also good but more indepth issues would have made it evens better as well as explaining the fallen a bit more. But that being said i do hope that there would be more now.

I think the anime is pretty good. Would watch if there is going to be a season 2. What makes me sad is that they really don't exlain Ayanokouji's past and stuff. I give it a 10, but I am pretty sad on how he sees people as tools that he is going to use so he can win since at the end of ep 12 Horikita was thanking him and it seemed like she really ment it since she was shy, but no Ayanokouji just sees her as a tool. I know that these types of animes are not my cup of tea since I like romance animes, but it would be awesome if season 2 Ayanokouji changes is perspective on people and starts to like Horikita.

I really enjoyed this anime. I really loved how OP Touya was because he literally had all the powers in that world. I personally like harem animes so this was so my cup of tea since he will have 9 wives. I really got nothing else to say, but I did enjoy watching this anime and hopeing for a season 2.

This series takes place in an alternate timeline. The clothes, cars and the east vs west thing are pretty much out of the 60s, it was so much so that I thought I was having flashbacks. However because it is in an alternate timeline, there are some futurstic weapons, devices and even cities on the moon. The whole thing plays out like its a 60s vision of the future. The main character is a cyborg/spy and the entire series revolves around her. There are no really interesting characters until the last 3 episodes which have a story arc. The other episodes are pretty much stand alone stories. The animation is... See full review

I am just really triggered since their wasn't much character progression of my liking. I have not read the manga yet, but i just felt kind of bored watching season 2. I did love how they ended it with Chitoge because I felt like they really lacked in her character progression with Ichijo in season 2. I felt like in ep 4 I wished Chitoge was much more thankful than she was since she really did not thank Ichijo. She let him rest his head on her lap, but that was it. I felt like she should of fell in love with Ichijo more since he literally worked his ass of and than got chewed out when he had to make an... See full review

First things first, rating this show a little lower then I want because it's not finished. Show just ends, I'm guessing there was a hope for a season 2 but it didn't happen. It's a weird show and I went in with really low expectations but I actually quite liked what what going on. Not saying that it doesn’t do things bad at times, heck… when it’s bad, it’s really bad! The show does take time for some character development. You understand why certain characters act the way that they do, there is a reason for it and at the same time it does try to create this environment where you... See full review

Attack on Titan: Lost Girls

Lost girls is a 3 episode series, the first two episodes are about Annie and the third is about Mikasa. Spoilers below~ In Annie's episode we get some insight to her life and motives right before she goes after eren during season 1. These 2 episodes are actually super informative as far as OVA's go. It shows us things Annie regrets but we also see her main reason she keeps up with what she's doing. Its pretty sad and really nice to finally see some emotions on her face and see she's not as emotionless as she is perceived. I really enjoyed these episodes of her. Mikasa's episode is an alternate reality, a... See full review

This anime really had a problem of having a great story and ideas but didnt have the time or budget to properly get it produced. Im very glad the series finaly got a proper ending. Do yourself a favour though and get some real subs, crunchyroll/horrible were really bad at translating enough that as someone who dosnt speak japanese even I knew many of the words were not translated properly or even at all. Definetly recomend watching just cut out the 4 filler episodes that came cause of production problems. I see this as a occurance thats only going to get worse as anime progresses.

Seitokai Yakuindomo Movie

Rudeboy's avatar
Oct 30, 2018

The movie is a continuation from the Seitokai Yakuindomo* OVA series, episodes 1-6. The 'big scene' in the movie everybody is confused about will be explained in the 7th episode of the Seitokai Yakuindomo* OVA, so make sure to watch it after the movie. Art quality seems to be a bit more playful but it's just a continuation of the rest of the series. Although I do feel the Season 2 they tried to push the inappropriate visuals a bit more, the movie goes back to a better balance that most of the OVA’s and the original series had. There isn't much of a main story, it's just short comedy skits. The... See full review

The first episode was a really good edition to the series, giving some insight into the Titans that occured earlier on in the first season. It was emotional and intense, making you question just a bit more even if you've seen all three seasons. The second episode was purely comedy and stepped away from the AOT theme of suspense and death. I saw in the first review that the person hated it, but personally I thought it was hilarious and laughed multipe times at how ridiculous it was. It was nice to see a different atmosphere for this show, if only for one epsiode. The giggles is a nice break from all... See full review

The first statement you shall assure about this anime is: never believe the cover. It’s full of lies, twist, and something that is at least you better don’t take it seriously. “Asobi Asobase” isn’t as popular as other anime in that season but this anime has a strong comedy for each episode from the first episode to the end. It’s more than a twist, a comedic like a comedy in general, a masterpiece for its genre. The execution is something that becomes a benchmark, a genuine expression, exaggerated way, and the support from the seiyuu who’ve performed so phenomenally... See full review

Angels of Death

Angels of Death is about two messed up characters trying to escape a building where other freaks try to constantly kill them. I understand there's a large community out there that may even get a boner watching this stuff, but as for me that's not my kind of entertainment. Probably the reason I finished watching this anime was that the episodes felt very short even though they're the regular length, and a lot of them had cliffhanger endings. Everything had been unnecessarily stretched. The characters were rather annoying and would only say some nonsensical lines. The character that was the most... See full review

No idea how I managed to finish this anime cause it's an absolute mess. Something must have charmed me, and maybe it was the slight shonen-ai-ish vibes, cause normally I would drop anime like this after a couple episodes. The story felt rushed and not well put together, the characters were too over the top for my liking yet there I finished the whole thing... Also I would say it tried to be more dramatic rather than funny, so the "comedy" tag must be a mistake here.

Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash

The whole idea of people being "transported" into a different world where they are forced to fight goblins or other weird creatures was absolutely pointless. Nobody elaborates on that whatsoever at any point in the anime. The worst thing is that this anime has no end. None of your questions will be answered. I got tired pretty fast of watching them do the same thing every episode. It was a real drag trying to finish just those 12 episodes. The positive is that the art was very nice to look at.

It’s 2018 and we still want to date a zombie. You know what I meant, “Zombieland Saga.” But, before that, let’s jump back to a few years before the pioneers of red blood cell, the goblin, the slime, the bunny girl, or whatever. There is one anime that’s able to attract a lot of people’s attention at the time and what I’m talking about is “Sankarea: Undying Love.” You walk away like a normal schoolboy but suddenly, you meet a zombie girl who’s stranded right in front of you, where you are. “Sankarea” is like a fiction that blends reality... I find it very hard to even began to describe how brilliant this show is. The story from beginning to end is filled with moments that make you want to cry out of happiness and complete sadness. The way they balance the two is brilliant and maybe satanic. After I finished this show I laid silent in awe questioning if I could ever watch another anime again. They made a mistake trying to pursue this show further while demoting the main character to a side character. By doing this they effectively threw away all the character and story building created in the initial show. I truly believe that if Hidan no Aria didn't exist then Hidan no Aria AA could be respectable. The story was reasonable and entertaining and the characters were good, but because they tried to do a spin-off, and removed the main character, all was for nothing. I believe one of the only successful ways to accomplish a spin-off is to change everything. By keeping... See full review

I saw a gif online that looked funny so I gave it a shot. In the first episode, you get the entire premise: "cruelty = comedy". Basically the main character is a complete punching bag crying about how badly he's treated by others and the world. He goes around with a total Sadist for some reason who is constantly abusing him in unfunny ways. And there's a loli for no reason. That's the series. Enjoy.

Your Lie in April is yet another one of those shows you are watching just for the feelfaggotry. When it comes to the content, there’s hardly enough to fill two seasons worth of material and wastes most of its duration in out of place comedy. So, as usual, you just have to label everything as “it’s teenagers so it makes sense not to make sense” and move on to crying for the sake of crying.

The premise is your done to death romantic school comedy, which they spice up by making it as overdramatic as possible. Basically, the most tragic things happen to the kindest people, so you... See full review

For example, Mika's story arc was held over my head until nearly the end of season 1, which made me tune in over and over until I got the resolution I needed. There were so many other plot points that were never explained or explored further (like the seven trumpets and the four horsemen of John), which left me feeling like there was so much more story potential that was flashed and then wasted. Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga

The plot seems to take place before they opened the portal and fought satan (you know, the badass stuff) and right after they discovered Rin was the son of satan. By starting off here they were able to create needless drama between Rin and his friends. They did this to create "juicy plot." They were all acting like emotional teenagers throughout most of this season. Rin even said something along the lines of "I should just die." It might have been ok to do this in the first season when we were still getting to know all of the characters, but we already know who they are. In the first... See full review

This by far is one of my favorite story's to date.  I love to be suprised by the story and they kept me guessing throughout.  This is a tradegic love story, mystery.  I especially love the charater of Yuno Gasao, she beautiful, crazy, smart and love driven.  Even though she'd probably kill me I would not hesitate to make her my girlfriend.  For the main characters the developement is done well and slow but a lot of the minor characters are under developed.  Yuki is probably my least favorite character but he was a good counter to Yuno.  I don't like male characters that... I liked that they told a story about a single male parent, most of the time we see a different perspective so it's kinda refreshing to watch an anime with it as theme. I liked that you could see the difference between Rin when Daikichi meets her for the first time and when she's lived with him for a while. It's heartwarming to say the least. I personally think the ending came out of nowhere. I was surprised there weren't more episodes after the final one. It's like the story isn't finished yet, which I guess is fine too.  The animation is good, but not extremely special. I liked what they did when Rin... See full review

In their darkest hour, when everybody else was dead and have become distant memories, 3 normal kids take it upon themselves to play a card game to determine the future of mankind....Or who will bear the right to bone the blond chick before she turns old and ugly. This pretty much is what i have to say so bye now...Or not? You see Chihayafuru is a very strange case and i don't think that as time passes and i let what i watched sink in even more is gonna help all that much. Let me explain what i'm on about. I finished this anime 6 days ago. As i was watching it i kept some notes to remind myself what my... See full review

Second season, it's trying to be more full on compared to the first season. I like it when characters can joke freely about any topic they want and if that's the premise of the show then I just feel that censoring every ‘inappropriate’ word makes the whole thing just silly and not funny. Other then that, there isn’t anything weird about teenagers shaving their pussy in front of fellow students, wearing a vibrator to class or have a younger sister that likes you to watch her when she’s doing inappropriate shit. I’m also quite confused with the writer of the show. There is... See full review
