Detective Conan Movie 3: The Last Magician of the Century

There are 3 movies from the Detective Conan series that I consider to be masterpieces: The Phantom of Baker Street, The Last Wizard of the Century, and The Fourteenth Target. Of the 3, The Last Wizard of the Century: - Has outstanding soundtracks that are memorable and worthy of purchasing, “I’ll be there”, “Ai wa Itsumo” for example. Those beautiful tracks have been used since, in the tv series as well. - As belonging to the adventure/mystery genre, has the strongest plot and setting. Keywords: the Romanov family, treasure hunting in a castle... See full review

This anime is good for being a bit different.  The girls tell perverted jokes instead of the boys. The characters are Ok and the story is good enough to make you want to watch the next episode. No real romance here if you are wondering. No panty shots or fan service like that even though there are so many dirty jokes and perverse humor.

This is my first time watching anime created by Koreans (it can be called anime right? hehe). If you want to watch something that is not that heavy and has a light ambiance, this is recommended. Well, I won't lie, the characters are cute and I heard somewhere that the name of one character in here is Trump HAHAHA.

Hero mask is an anime on netflix that is a sci-fi thriller with a ton of action. You are taken on a ride with prosecutor Sarah Sinclair and SSC agent James Blood as they unravel the truth behind a shady company and the bio masks they are creating. When a supposedly dead convict shows up very much alive and wanting blood and a prosecutor ends up mysteriously dying they decide to plunge themselves into a case that turns darker by the episode. I am not the best at giving synopsis on things but I tried my best. The anime's plot is a unique one that is honestly quite interesting. I enjoyed the exposition, and... See full review

It is kind of weird to have these 3 episodes as an OVA since they really feel like the season finale. Koharu get her chance to play against Haruo for a date, Oono walks back into the story as if she had never left and Haruo is is starting to show more feelings. So make sure you watch this after the first 12 episodes before you get started on season 2 when it comes out!

Poco's Udon World

Personal Opinion/Quick Summary: Yoooo! This anime was so good! So, basic summary is that the MC aka "Souta" is having some issues as his dad recently died. So he went back to his hometown to clean up their old house and his dad's udon shop (because he and his sister were planning to sell it). Upon entering the udon shop he finds a sleeping boy, who then proceeds to steal his wheat and sonics out of there. Confused he leaves the udon shop and does some stuff and comes back where he finds the boy from earlier back in front of the shop. The boy later named "Poco" ends up staying with him... I absolutely, frickin loved this! I'm already rewatching it! Each episode leaves you in suspense! I love all of the characters so much. I loved watch Akane grow and develop over time. I also love Kogami, Ginoza, and the rest of the enforcers. I loved how this show called into question how we identify good and bad. In this world if you are identified as a latent criminal you are either sent to rehabilition, given the option to become an enforcer, or executed. Throughout the show though, you can see the unfairness of this. What hit me the most was when one of the enforcers told Akane that he was labeled as a... See full review

Grand Blue

“Grand Blue” is a slice of life comedy anime with lots of stereotypical humor and adult jokes. It starts with Iori Kitahara. He is a new student who began his college life at Izu University. He lives in a residence in a diving club called Grand Blue. His adventure from here begins. As it is full of many things on his way, he started his freshman life with issues of things. There is no other way that this show maintains a lot of chaos in it. He has lots of other connections with other characters. Initially, he did not want to join into that strange club filled with often-naked students. Next, he... See full review

Inuyashiki: Last Hero

From the creator of “Gantz”, Hiroya Oku’s “Inuyashiki” is not a sequel or spin-off of one of the best sci-fi horror manga. But, we know that we want to want another of his works. In this anime, he invited us into a simple concept of hero and villain. However, I’d rather say it as two anti-heroes fighting each other. Regardless of the title, “Last Hero”, this is about Ichirou Inuyashiki and Hiro Shishigami. It’s about two people who have different ideologies or coins from two different sides. After meeting them by chance in a field, Ichirou and Hiro have... See full review

This is my first review for 2019 and I'm going to do it with justice! Story- The anime's story is based on a manga that has just had its fiftieth anniversary, and is about a traveling swordsman who is on a journey to get back his body parts that were taken from him by demons. Along the way that same character becomes friends with a young boy thief named Dororo. What's really cool about this series for me though is how the plot is sort of similiar to Berserk's in a way. I think the original series has been a good influence on the anime/manga industry, like with Devilman. Animation- The animation for the... See full review

ME just having it on my mind I chose to re-watch the whole series and I managed in only two days. This anime was crazy I loved it, watch it if you're in need of an action-packed, emotional anime.

And with this, every show that I wanted to complete from Spring 2018 has been completed. And you know what I’m glad I saved this show till the end because this show is definitely one of the most unique out of everything from this season, but anyways let’s start from the beginning of my expectations when diving into the show. Personally I only really decided to watch this show because it was made by Studio Bones, which has a rich history of good and bad shows, which was why I was interested in picking this up, to begin with. This is a worthwhile show. The only thing I would note is I doubt there will be a season 2. From my understanding, the studio is having problems. The show is a repeat of some group of people getting zap to another game like world. Unlike many others, they have no memories of before they arrive, and they don't know how to get back home. The story follows a small team of underdogs that are doing what they can to not starve. There is no end goal insight. As far as my problems, it goes into the world itself. It's difficult to figure out if actions and what you can do is limited to what class you're in. Like... See full review

When people think of bad dubs this anime has got to be in the top 10 if not the top 5. The most normal voice of the bunch is the one for the locomotive, C6. As far as the story goes it's a classic humans killing for pleasure causing an orphan animal to become a pet plot. Treated poorly by just about everyone human Yamatarou comes incontact with it's a talking locomotive who becomes his first [and only real] friend. The steam engine wants to help the young bear get back where he belongs. Humans continue to be despicable creatures who hunt the brown bear into adulthood and force a confrontation between... Imagine with me, for a second, what The Godfather would have been like as an anime. Now imagine with me what The Godfather with a much more simplistic story would be like as an anime. And now, you have imagined 91 Days.  I honestly don't think a plot summary is really necessary here, the revenge story is just the archtypal. A guy doesn't like one family of the mafia, he wants all of them to die, and he infiltrates it to destroy the family from within. As I'm typing this Google autocorrect is trying to fill in the rest of the plot, thats how standard it is. But the plot isn't why we're here, as far as... See full review

Future Diary is a show that managed the very difficult task of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. On paper it should be such a good show, but it really trips up on two very important points.  The show itself is about a cometition between a bunch of people equipped with phone diaries, each with the capability to tell them some aspect of the future. For example, one person's tells them how they will escape from a situation, another tells them a quick rundown of everything they see, another tells them everything about another person in the competition, and so forth. What I Liked: Beautiful picture book-esque backgrounds. The animation has a nice fluidity to it, expressing the surreal feeling of war and invasion from a child's perspective. The use of Night on the Galactic Railroad as both parallel to the movie and its themes, and as a motif for escapism, childhood innocence and loss. The two choir scenes. The soundtrack is understated, yet perfectly matches each scene.

What I Didn't: Older Sawako and Junpei in the English dub sound deathly bored. Character animation could've benefited from some more shading - it's awfully flat at times.

Final Verdict: A... See full review

I want to state first that I am for the most part a fan of SAO but this arc has fustrated me to no end where I just feel the need to express it writing this review. I mean its been 22 episodes already as of writing this but the series has been 90% monologue and 10% percent fighting if you can even call it a fight.  I agree that not every episode needs to be some fight but my god the whole series has basically been all talking and essentially info dumping instead of showing off the world. Not really a plot for this one, just shows events from the series, and then they can finally rest after everything they have gone through on a deserted island. Pretty good animation style and music. Pretty catchy main theme. Even if you haven't watched the series you know the characters have a history together and interact pretty well throughout the OVA. Over all, I would recommend watching this, but only after the series. Reason I scored it semi low is not that I was disappointed in it, but that I was disappointed in myself not noticing that it takes place after the series and didn't know what was going... I'm going to compare three separate narratives I've recently watched that I enjoyed almost equally, but for different reasons. A couple are from Madhouse, which I think is interesting because they're quite a contrast, separated by five years. Even animation-wise, they are distinct and yet, still, use this technique involving colour - for different reasons, though, it seems. Shiki is by Daume, but since I haven't yet seen anything else by them I can't compare anything more, except for these three as distinct narratives from the same genre and topic. I'm a huge shonen fan and try to watch most of their shows. I'll start by saying that this isn't for everyone. You shoudn't come to the show expecting something like Naruto Tail Punch Man Online. It's not your typical shonen anime, as the main character has absolutely no magic (which literally everyone has). Even so, he thinks like every other shonen MC - hard work makes you stronger. This isn't necessarily bad, as you could say the way he works hard can be comedic ( he screams a ton ). People hate Asta since he screams alot, but I like his screaming for some reason. Honestly, the second and third seasons of the anime were just disappointing. The whole "massively overpowered MC" thing has been done a lot, and there are a number of ways to deal with it. You could choose to focus on the characters and their stories, but the other Nazarick guardians are all too busy worshipping Ainz to actually have their own stories. Ainz himself could be a focus, but honestly he's an incredibly passive character who just goes along with whatever plan his guardians think he's made, without actually trying to plan anything himself. The most interesting characters are the humans... See full review

It is pretty crazy to see all these pretty unique characters interacting with each other and how their interactions change as the story progresses.  I will admit that the funky hair threw me off at the beginning but I do understand that it helps to recognize characters among this very large cast while also using it as a way to show an extra layer of emotions. This was quite an unexceptional anime.  The most egregious issue is of course the animation...the only good thing I can say about it is that I generally found the character designs to be palatable.  Apart from that though, there really isn't anything good to say.  Aside from generally terrible movement, the worst thing was that they added in shots where the angle gets flipped 90 degrees.  I couldn't even begin to guess what the reason for this was aside from either laziness or stupidity.  But it was very distracting. The mouth animations don't match up with the subtitles and makes it seem that they're speaking a different language than English, like Japanese or something. Most of the NPCs can be asshats or just plain dumb, but some of them are aight. Familiar with The Good Book's stories the three kids are given the chance to not only witness but actively shape history. Their desire to return home... See full review

Silver Spoon 2nd Season

This is a copy and paste from season 1. It matches up with season 2 The one thing I would add is it doesn't look like we will get a season 3. From my understanding, the views aren't good enough. But with that in mind, it feels this doesn't have a proper ending. There is also no payoff when it comes to the romance. Like you never get anything hard like one of them using the love word, kissing, or even holding hands.  _______________________ So long story short, this is basically following someone learning a general on farming. So long story short, this is basically following someone learning a general on farming. It focuses almost purely on animal farming, and it looks more at cows and horses. But it gets into real things. It should be noted that I use to work at a vet and I'm around farms now. This shows a lot of what the people face. Like a lot of people think you deal with happy animals and play with animals when working at a vet. But like this show flat out says, you have to be OK with putting down animals. Something I found personally, you can't work in it if you can't put down perfectly healthy pets simply because the... See full review

It's just cute. Not a whole lot of plot; basically just different versions of the same thing happening in each episode...but adorably. Just your standard issue little kid show really. Really good if you want a show on while you might be doing other things.

So I just finished this anime not even 10 minutes ago and this is also my first review so yeah.

considering that this was a Yuri/GL (girl love) anime i didn't really watch this expecting much, and I came out with still very little. These high school girls are like horny animals. Yeah some scenes were pretty hot, but also bad for the anime. This isn't the kind of things I expect from a Yuri anime. What I want to see in Yuri anime is... Sword Art Online: Alicization

To put things frankly, Sword Art Online: Alicization as an anime is a huge letdown compared to its light novels (Volume 9 - 18).  As a reader of the original light novel version of the Alicization arc, I felt that the story was pretty decent and engaging except for the ending (of events in Underworld) which flopped lifelessly on the ground. When I heard an anime adaptation was coming out with the astounding animation from the Fate series (Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/Zero), I was genuinely excited to see an improved SAO, one that incorporated a more cohesive plot alongside its original spectacular ... School Days

Before we get into review I want to mention a few things: 1. English isn't my native language. So there might be some grammatical errors in this review.  2. I don't usually write reviews, so I'm open for constructive critisism about it. Even though I don't usually do these I still want to improve my reviews so that the next one will hopefully be better. Now onto the review itself: Best comparison to watching School Days would be watching a terrible traffic accident, that you predicted from ten minutes earlier. You see all the warning sings for a bad things to come, but for some reason you just keep... See full review
