Princess Connect! Re: Dive

Before I got into the series, I looked at the cast of characters, and they look really nice and appealing. A lot of them are voiced by the seiyuus from my favorite idol series, The [email protected], and it's one of the reasons why I decided to check out this anime. Then I watched the whole season of it, and I've been very pleased on how this isekai anime has turned out. This anime was made by the same director who made KonoSuba, though unlike KonoSuba, Princess Connect Re:Dive is more like a Slife-of-Life Isekai rather than an Action Isekai, and it doesn't have much of a story. However, it doesn't mean that it... See full review

Before even considering watching this, I suggest asking yourself if you don't mind watching a very slow moving show with little to no movement in the storyline. If you're fine with this, this anime may be in your interest. As expected of a slice of life, the episodes don't have much shocking or action-filled episodes that makes the episodes go by fast. I found myself checking the time on the episodes to see if it was almost over. Now that the worst parts out of the way, I will say that this show is a decent watch and the ending (in my opinion,) makes up for any storyline that this show lacks. It's a... See full review

In a nutshell Hey, hey, hey, you! Yes, you! Do you want to take part in the world's first tournament for high school students? The main prize to anyone able to crush all the opponents is something you will like: you can wish for anything. Good deal, right? What is wrong? You are bad at martial arts? No worries, you can bring any weapon with you; no restrictions whatsoever. You can use whatever martial arts you want! Any weapon! Weight category and gender do not matter! We guarantee you, you will not die; however, we cannot guarantee you that your pride will not be hurt, though. But this is worth it, is not... See full review

Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time

This anime is basically a hentai with some poorly constructed storyline added to it. After the first few episodes the storyline consists of Peter Grill being continuosly raped by sexy demi-humans girls. He continously tells them no and they just keep forcing themselves on him until he caves. All while he trys despritely to stay true to the woman he actually loves which is kind of a joke as he is being maniplated and raped multiple times every day by two orks, an elf(loli), and an ogre. I wouldn't recommend this hentai to anyone, it isn't even worth watching. I dropped after episode 8, when it was very... See full review

This is an interesting anime and definitly worth watching. However you have to make it past episode 4. The first 4 episodes are a bit slow as the characters are finding their way in their new world. After episode 4 that seem to find their stride and things pick up. Over all a good anime, I gave it 4 stars.

I finally took a trip down the rabbit hole to tackle this anime to become a true member of the anime-planet community. And oh boy what a wild ride this was. Honestly I found it way better than I expected it to be, but that doesn't make it that great. Trying to explain the story is just going to cause me a headache so I'll skip that. The animation is on par to that of an animation student in there first year at a party school... The sound is actually surprisingly well. The anime is like an IQ test. If you're dumb, it will just bore you. If you're intelligent, this will be one of the best animes you've ever seen. It's completely cliche free, not just the cliches in anime but the cliche's in tv and movies in general. And even though it's completely unique, it's not the "artsy" or avante garde faire that pseudo-intellectuals love to reccomend to everyone in order to demonstrate how smart they are.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

Watch both seasons of The Melencholy of Haruhi Suzamiya and then The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya will make fuller sense. It will be more satisfying to watch the movie when the background is filled in. It relies too much on history developed in the two seasons of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamiya to not be aware of what has gone on before the movie takes place. The feature length film is better than the TV series but it could not exist without the TV series so it's a package deal. The movie is engaging, has suspense and a couple plot twists. The animation seems to shift in quality... See full review

This is my opinion! I have not seen the entire series. I am dropping/stalling it for the time being, but here is my reasoning and feedback. If I had to describe this anime in one word, It would be “overhyped”. Maybe that was why I was so disappointed with it. It’s one of those animes you see everywhere. People are constantly talking about it and praising it for what it is. So, I went into it with high expectations. I was ready to see what it had to offer and be entertained. The problem was, I just wasn’t entertained... One thing I love that an anime does, is it’s ability to... See full review

There are a lot of annoying inconsistencies in this anime, but it still manages to be enjoyable. Know that it's geared toward a younger audience. Not that older adults can't enjoy it - just as we can enjoy Naruto. But realize before going in that this is what I would classify as a YA anime. I won't watch this again, but as you can see from my 8/10 rating, I thought it was well worth seeing.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War?

Sep 8, 2020

There's nothing wrong with this second season of Kaguya-sama, and if it hadn't followed season 1 perhaps I'd have rated it higher. However, whereas S1 was first and foremost a brilliant comedy, S2 morphed into more of a slice of life. It's almost silly to place these comments in the S2 review section, because nobody will watch S2 without first watching S1, and if you watch S1 you're certain to watch S2 regardless of what I write. I guess the reason I'm doing this is so that you won't go into S2 with your expectations as high as I did and wind up disappointed. Realize that it'll be a bit of a different show... See full review

Prior to watching this anime I thought that The Devil is a Part Timer was the funniest show I had seen. Now I rank Devil at #2. Kaguya-sama doesn't provide better humor, but it gives us more of it. Each episode is dense with the comedy that these kids serve up thanks to each of their efforts to avoid letting the other one know that they're romantically interested in him or her. Every thought, every step, is analyzed to determine if it shows the slightest love interest. They are both determined to force the other to make the first move. Very minor spoiler in next paragraph. . . . For example, the girl ... See full review

This anime deserves more love than it gets. It is was boring at the start but It got better as the story went on. The main character can be annoying at times. However, he cares for those around him. The show does a great job at world-building. I found it interesting how the kingdoms are based on cards. Even though it is often compared to other shounen anime, I recommend it for its concepts and characters.

It is a show that has mixed results with equal amount of pros and cons to the anime. The story line is very odd and unclear, but it is consistant with the story telling. The fan-service is alright if you are a lolicon, but doesn't show the breasts of any of the characters except the legal ones, so points for that. The episode lengths leaves something to desire, but is fine if you are looking to pass the hour. There is no music that stands out much from the regular crowd, but on the other side of the coin it doesn't take as long for the song to end. I just finished How to Keep a Mummy and it was so cute! Every animal each character fit each other so well, even in minor ways. It's a great anime to watch and relax to. It really made me feel giddy inside since many moments were cute or fun to watch. If lighthearted anime isn't your type, then this anime isn't your type and that's okay! Personally, I felt like the second animal Kashiwagi Sora received wasn't really necessary and was only added for comedic relief, but nonetheless, it was a nice addition.  The climax made me tear up a bit, but I tend to get easily emotional when it relates to me and... The art style and character designs were simply stunning and dragged me into watching it. As unsual as it is for me to watching this type of show, it really proved to be so worth it despite leaving the season off on somewhat of a cliffhanger or at least an ending that would allow the watchers to assume that there would be a season two to conclude the actions of this season. "Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai" or "Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out" is a fanservice-y dumpster fire.

This opinion is based on slice of life anime as a whole, where the first episode is USUALLY what you should expect from the rest of the series.

Warning: Vague spoilers in this review.
I was skeptical about starting this series, but the story is actually quite compelling. Many people have described it as Zooptopia, but darker and for adults. To be honest, I think this is a great elevator pitch. My TL;DR for this review would be: give it a shot. It's deeper than it looks. The story, at its core, is a social commentary on social class, racism, and trafficking. The overarching murder mystery story serves more as a foil to introduce the social and racial distress of herbavors vs carnivores. We follow the incredibly socially awkward, but well... I also thought that there were going to be amazing tactical fights and so on in outer space when in actuality the main character just seem to say and do things and their enemy is immediately bamboozled and crushed. The main girl constantly tries to aggressively kill/hurt him and then pouts when she fails. Please consider listening to my review. I found that all other reviews for this anime viewed this in a very biased and uneducated way. I like to keep an open mind, and I am repulsed by the negative reviews which take little time to take a closer look at what this anime is really all about. This anime is certainly not a deep romantic love story, but the core of the show touches on the struggles of musicians who have dedicated so much in life which everything works against them. See full review

The only thing standing between Earth and immediate destruction is a 17 yearold superhuman, Takeru, and his red fat lipped robot Gaia. (And a group of earthling defenders ironically called Cosmo Crusher, but they can never seem to handle anything themselves...) Will there ever be two seconds of peace again?! He made a miscalculation however: this kid grew up with loving parents, which instilled in him such a strong desire to... See full review

A three might be generous for this anime. I actually watched this because how bad the reviews were. It was a lot worse than I expected. First, the mc, Aoi, wasn't mistaken as a female through-out the show, the chracters aren't that good looking, there was literally no character development, and the cocoa was not talked about at all. It was just given out to people. (The dog looks ugly af)

Blue Exorcist - Watching Guide These are unaired episodes bundled with the 19th and 20th limited edition volumes of the Blue Exorcist manga. They are mostly slice-of-life and comedy, so only people that enjoy those genres may find them good. Don't expect much action. OVA 1: The story centers around Mamushi Hojo and Juzo Shima when they were... See full review
