Where do I start, this promises to be an ecchi and then disappoints after the first few episodes, then a few episodes later there is a bit more. So if you watch it for the ecchi you won't get much.
This is really a gladiator movie with a twist, there are these 'therianthropes' that are part human part beast and can transform at will. They are the gladiators. Owned by large corporations that use them for amusement and gamble on them to gain power. It's not clear how they came into being, although the featured 'therianthrope' seems to be the original. But that's about all we learn about them, except that... See full review
Nowadays most anime weebs think the best deconstruction of superheroes is either One Punch Man or My Hero Academia, although they are just a satire and the definition of a cheesy superhero story. It’s like they forgot that time in the 00s when Gantz was like a very violent critique on superheroes and social injustice, thus not that different than The Watchmen. It stopped being that when eventually the mangaka focused on the shallow spectacle and the themes became an afterthought. It was mostly the result of spectacle creep, not that different from what happens to most shonen that keep escalating... See full review

Full disclosure: I haven't ever actually played the Castlevania game, so this review is impartially based solely on its existence as a show. TL;DR - Give it a shot, but don't expect the next Game of Thrones. The first season of this had me intrigued and put-off in an almost equal fashion. While the premise seemed promising, the small number of episodes and some of the voice acting was detrimental to the series. That being said, I was looking forward to seeing how season 2 would turn out. The main issue I have with Castlevania isn't with its premise as a show itself - it's decently made from a technical... Everything is to perfect, even when they do something wrong it is for a good reason. If your a saint then they are ten times better than you throughout the whole story. I got bored half way through and started skipping just to see them do something wrong. I watched the last episode for no other reason than seeing the completion. Even the Adults are perfect. If you like perfection this ones for you.See full review
for some reason this anime is really underrated, the story is awesome and all the characters (good or bad) are interesting.
there's a lot of gore scenes and a lot of action in every episode but at the same time it's filled with comedy and some cute moments.(kinda like gintama)
one other thing i like about it,is the main character,he's not a generic shounen protagonist, and he can't be even if he wanred to,given the situations he finds himself in and the amount of people he killed during the anime and even before the story started, but at the same time while doing the most... Honneamise is a movie of antitheses. Everything about it has two sides, and it wasn’t done intentionally for the sake of keeping things grey. The production team was simply insecure and that shows everywhere in the film. You could say that’s what gives it an identity, but it’s surely not to its benefit. It’s like those movies where you see they did a lot of reshooting and last moment editing. You spot the insecurity and that’s a bad thing.
It’s not that obvious in Honneamise, but it’s still there when you know it was made by the Gainax crew. It’s not... See full review
“ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept.” is a fresh breathtaking anime in the pop culture and anime community. Sadly, it’s one of the most underrated anime at the season, one which isn’t followed by many people, one that many complain about, and one that many don’t like just because of the theme they carry. This is one of the shows which presents something new about politics that everyone hates. What’s interesting about an anime that uses politics as its theme or coup d’etat? “House of Cards” is one of the same TV shows. “Joker Game” which... See full review
The show really reminds me of classic murder mystery movies where a slick detective keeps finding himself in awkward situations with gorgeous but untrustworthy ladies and some of the moth ruthless criminals ever seen. The created world is absolutely fantastic, there is so much going on and there is a lot of focus on little things that just make everything extremely lively. The art style, character design and the different angles used to tell the stories really gives a great vibe to the show, the pacing of the story telling makes this whole experience quite a masterpiece. And don't forget the music, it's... See full review
FLCL Progressive is a rare sequel that uses many of the same elements as the original FLCL and makes for a fun, different experience. Any sequel has the challenge of living up to the original anime and FLCL may have been one of the most challenging anime to follow up. FLCL is a work that: came out at the right time, 2000; made by the right studios, Gainax and Production I.G.; has an unforgettable mix of visuals, social parody and characters. The story of FLCL is simple once broken down, but the journey is much more important than the... See full review
There is more to this anime than meets the eye, and a lot you can read between the lines with. This show isn't only just an action packed show about criminals with a hot main character and bloodlust. It's so much more than that, the darkest questions of morality pop up time and time again. My only complaint is that they didn't put out more content. (This also goes out to second barrage as well).See full review
Fluid animation and a distinctly dated sense of style are ruined by a poor story. Lupin III sounds like a fun adventure: a set of highly trained thieves led by Lupin, a master thief with a heart of gold, invade a small nation state to steal the blue prints for the best counterfeit money ever made. The Cagliostro family has influenced world finance for hundreds of years and the current count will do anything to unlock the mysterious treasure of Cagliostro. Lupin and friends... See full review
It you want a beautiful art piece then look no further than this anime. Done in a style similar to Puella Magi Madoka Magica this pushes the style of anime to the very non-traditional world of textures. Then, you listen to the story and see the absurdity of the "fan-service" and all you can do is sigh. The animators and art director should get promoted the writers and director should be fired. Not only is the story saturated with non-sense about the angelica moon cage and other such gibberish, there is a lack of logical continuty. Potentially, the best part *sarcasim* is the character who is... See full review

A person falling in love with an attractive werewolf or vampire is a familiar theme in shapeshifter stories. What's less familiar is for these stories to extend beyond the relationship, and detail the hardships of raising "half breed" children in a prejudiced society. This is what sets Wolf Children apart from the rest of the pack. On the surface, such a premise may seem difficult to buy into, but Wolf Children works beautifully thanks to the writer/director, Mamoru Hosoda, opting to tell this story as a coming-of-age drama. He balances the tension with delightful humor, embodied by characters... See full review
So yea, that was weird. The prequel was definitely better imho. Animation and sound were still solid so I'm just going over story and characters. Beware, possible spoilers ahead but I will try to keep it to a minimum. Story wasn't much at all. The first arc with Karen as the main focus was terribly slow and the conclusion with kaiki left much to be desired. I'm not sure how they even dragged it out that long. Any that toothbrush scene was not necessary. Tsukihi was really only the last 3 episodes I believe and the right at the end was just araragi getting beat up... See full review

The story is actually really good in the manga. The animation seems really cut out and sometimes really bad. The sounds are alright I guess. The characters are alright in the anime, but we don't get to see some of the great things they do or say in the anime because Studio Pierrot decided to cram 100+ chapters into 12 episodes. The anime doesn't do justice to the manga. Some people are tired of constantly being told to read the manga, but if you don't, you are not going to understand anything. It's impossible. It's so bad that people aren't understanding that Funimation, the company... See full review
What do I have so say. The first season really only shined on Hishiro and Kaizaki romance on the last few episodes which is fine, but I wish they did not have to kind of rush it in to 4 episodes, but I still loved the OVA and 1 season. I really enjoyed everything though. I jsut really enjoyed the anime and really am glad that they met at the end and HOPEFULLY they get married. I just am sad that this anime is over since I really enjoyed it. Thats all I have to say.See full review
First of all I'd like to note that I certainly recommend this anime, but this review will contain spoilers, since I'd like to give some insight on what makes this anime stand out in my opinion, so if you still want a fresh experience, come back here once you've watched it. And with that said:
SukaSuka (or WorldEnd) is a post-apocalyptic fantasy drama, with romance being one of it's key elements. This concept isn't too over used, and it does take a somewhat unique take in it. We learn from the past events from a few fragments of our main character's past, and while doing so, the author... See full review
Overall I think this entire series is a one big fan service, boring plot? yes, boring characters ? yes, but will you enjoy it? yes, especially if you're the type who is frustrated in life and would say "I wish I was transported to the Anime world!!!"
the plot as I said is not that great, in fact it's dreadful..there's a lot of unanswered questions regarding the magic and who is really the most powerful??..they would introduce someone only to be stepped aside.
The Characters are one of the most useless I've ever seen, they are just there to make Yuuto great like Kirito 2.0, Yuuto is... See full review

I'll try to keep swearing to a minimum but fail utterly on occasion. In general it is the more the anime pisses me off the more I swear so watch out for the low scored ones.

There are many reasons Haikyuu!! became a recent favorite of mine, and it's in this third season that all of those are fully realized. That they decided to devote ten full episodes to just one game shows the level of care and respect that went into the season's planning, and all this effort culminates into something memorable in the end. While the story still appears to be far from over, Haikyuu's third season is as satisfying a conclusion as you can get, since it was able to benefit from well-paced build-up in the first two seasons. It's true there's nothing immediately unique about Haikyuu... See full review

Castlevania is like many anime attempting to be gritty by having lots of gore, lots of blood and a lack of purpose. The vampires are boring, the characters don't do much and the story has little momentum. If people want vampire action, seeing Dracula portrayed as vulnerable by having a mortal wife that he never turned is interesting. The problem is that this never really matters. I don't recommend this anime because the characters are hollow, the story is poorly gritty and there is a sense of pointlessness.See full review
I really enjoyed this show. It's very cutesy and has a tendency to get maybe too sappy sometimes but in general, I think it's really good. The characters are definitely this show's strong point and they are excellent. The friendships feel really sweet and pure and make this a great feel-good anime. The animation can be weird at points where they draw the characters over photographs with a filter on them but in general, I don't think it takes away that much from the experience other than by reminding you that the show was made to sell merchandise. If you like adorable friendships and cute boys this... See full review
Comedy lifestyle of a overpowered and weird student boy. The characters are fun AND memorable, you'll find yourself laughing/giggling for stupid good gags (thankfully they doesn't sound forced). Honeslty, I ended up getting thoroughly disappointed in the series. I had seen snippets, trailers, clips and thought it would be awesome! But no. To summarize the plot of the first season, it's about a puppy boy who steals his crush's clothes (a crush he's had over a year), but gets caught by the class weirdo. The class weirdo is really mean, so she confronts him and makes a contract with him, first it's pretty basic: "meet up with me and keep me company". Then it becomes more and more advanced... She, the class weirdo, forces him to wear the clothes he stole under his normal clothes when... See full review

When I started watching the Goblin slayer I had no idea what is it to going to be about. So what is wrong with the series? The first obvious problem with the series is discrepancy between the style of the world, side characters and dark fantasy that the anime should supposedly be. This is precisely the reason why many people were surprised by the first episode. The overall style is not that different from Sword Art Online or other more self-indulged non-dark fantasy, with exception of the main protagonist, who with his Dark Souls design stands out like sore thumb. There is nothing wrong with making the... See full review
This is your average classic beach OVA episode, where you know, characters are in bikinis, they are on the beach, and they usually have fun together. Admit it. We all have seen this before.
But if you watched the whole season, don't miss this OVA, beause it had some original elements, and in this episode especially the sound and animation excelled the original season. I will try to not spoil the episode, but get ready to get surprised because if Jashin-chan goes to the beach, everything can happen (trust me, you'll know what I'm talking about). So in conclusion, it was a good OVA, but the plot is too... See full review
I put this off for the longest time, and part of me wishes that I had continued to put it off. As a comedy, it's got its moments (but still pales in comparison to other comedy anime out there)...but as anything else, it fails miserably. I think the best word to describe this anime by episode 7 or 8 is: STALE. Story Keima Katsuragi is known as the "God of Conquest" for constantly playing dating/sim games and being able to get to the ending (and get the girl) no matter what. One day, he accepts a challenge of conquest, just to find out that it was from a messenger of Hell... See full review
Love the characters, nice animation (though the gore is a little overkill), OP is amazing, and it has the biggest plot twist ever! Amazing anime. Only reason it's rated so low is bc people come from Blood+ expecting one thing, but it's not related to that at all! Blood-C is its own anime and was torn down bc people never gave it a chance.See full review

Gambling is no longer a taboo thing in society. Everyone can do it in real life even in video games. For me, there is some uniqueness when I see how gambling is so exciting that the bet is at stake. Sure, the design of gambling game I saw when one table consisted of five or more people tried to fight, cheat, and concern each other. For example, poker which is one that I love within the scope of gambling. Even though you don’t really understand how the game works, there are many ways to get lots of chips depending on how you can adapt to such one table. Simply, “Kakegurui: Compulsive... This anime is really something special. It's not something bold and grabby to nab the mainstream attention. It's soft and beautiful, and a rather obscure title compared to many other " sad " animes out there. When I watched this I had been taking a break from the more violent, gorey stuff. It's something I will never forget. The serene, colorful animation was amazing. The simplicity of the story while still making it alluring was art. The quiet charm from the small couple of characters. The most notable thing about this anime is just the raw emotion it puts you through. A quiet, bittersweet... See full review
Back at it again with the short, but sweet reviews! AoT was one of the first animes I watched (I know I know, super vanilla of me, it was a suggestion guys!). Going in I wasn't sure what to expect, except that it was stupidly popular and everyone was talking about it at school. From the first episode I was hooked. I'm not the type of person to watch something because it's mainstream, but I'm also not the kind of person to be hyper critical of something and hate it just because it is mainstream. The gritty, dark animations, that killer opening, and the quick pacing had me begging for more. I loved the story... See full review
Just a short little review, nothing special or hopelessly in depth. Naruto Shippuden and its predecessor Naruto are some of the most iconic titles in the Shounen genre. Akin to the DBZ series, people usually either love it or they hate it. Really, there are plenty of spots to do both in this series. The huge variety of characters, beautiful soundtrack, powerful emotions tied to the most insignificant of characters, and unique abilities that have obviously been given lots of thought. I personally really liked this series, it always makes me feel nostalgic. Yet there are a few things that keep it from... See full review
I thought about abandoning this after the first episode because of both bad reviews, and A LOT of panty shots which aren't really my thing. This is one of the most unique animes I've seen all year, and even though the panty-shot troupe was used often, it was relevant enough to the story that it didn't feel worn out. What it is: A love letter to fans of the franchise. What it isn't: A stand-alone film to attract new fans to the series. Let's get this out of the way: if the thrill of seeing Horikoshi Kohei's art explode on the big screen is your only reason for watching this, then you won't go home disappointed. But if you're looking for a little more depth and development for the characters or the story, then you're better off getting into the series instead.
