if you're not an edgy hipster like the current top review, and enjoy shows like violet evergarden, give this anime a shot.
its like violet evergarden.... without violet's character development.
so the main character meeting a bunch of characters and hearing/being apart of the story?
yes.
i just feel like i have to write this, the top review for this anime currently is an edgy hipsters take on the anime, i understand slower anime isnt for everyone, but at least make it clear that its an opinion, not fact.
I would say this is a Fantasy + slice of life type of anime, a weird... See full review
Re: Hamatora
The cliffhanger from the first season is picked up again here.
Compared to the first season, it mainly only had story relevant episodes. The problem here was clearly that the sequence of this season was almost transparent from front to back. There were some individual detail and some unexpected occurrences that at least embellished it.
Story
The plot of the second season is attached directly to the scene of the last season. And from there began the story of "Art" and the implementation of its plans. His view and purpose have been quite obvious. The implementation of... See full review
Terrible story, Basic animations at best, the only good thing was the sound and that's it. Pros: Music and voice acting. Cons: Everything that wasn't music and voice acting. ~SPOILERS~ Very confusing and the animations were very basic conversation had very little effect given how that is the main theme behind this (anime/manga) as it is a psychological outsmarting someone else and making them blink before them. Music and voice acting were good(par). Not worth the 42-45 mins based off whatever version you watch.
See full reviewI initially started this anime with no expectations of it. I was willing to give it a chance; fortunately, I was not let down. This anime focuses on a strange Japanese young man with a gift for machinery. He, along with his companion, end up entering a cross-country automobile race in the U.S. Along the way, they make friends of rivals and face off against unsavory foes. Side note: Keep in mind that while this story is about racing, it does have its fair share of fight scenes. Animation: I thought the animation was pretty good and the movement in the fight scenes was top... See full review
I really animes with settings like this one. I also like how the female lead is not a pushover princess. She is headstrong, defiant and she knows what she wants. It was a little awkward between the two leads because of their height difference but their chemistry grew stronger in every episode. The plot was a little rushed. How I wish they could have made this one into a show with 24 episodes instead of just 12. I wanted to see more of the development between the ML and FL before they started caring for one another. They could also have created many more songs for the FL instead of reusing only 1 throughout... See full review
This show kinda garbage; I don't see what the hype is about. Not wasting anymore time with this anime. If you value your life, do not watch Tokyo Ghoul. Biggest drawbacks: Lousy characters Boring and ill-conceived plot
See full reviewI have no clue why this Anime has a bad rep on this site. Personally I think that is was good. I mean the story was interesting to say the least. The characters were good they didn't annoy me. It Wasnt bad.Now could it have been better yes. But it was not as bad like yall were making it seem.
See full reviewIncredible. For the people taking this as some slice of life, get a grip. Its a comedy that takes the story episode by episode, no real solid story line. Thats not what this anime advertised so dont get pissy because yoir plot wasnt expanded farther than your mothers cheeks last night. Funny as hell, and great episodic plot that brings much laughter. All 10 out of 10 because story is negligable in a comedy, Animation is unique for 2008 and sound left me in tears. The characters did their job so they get a 10 too.
See full reviewIts an AMAZING anime! would recommed :) i can tell its amazing the characters are very good some weird looking but that makes it more funny and fun to watch, the animation was great but i seen some pauses in the animation, sond was great but sometimes i couldnt hear very well, but overall its a great movie
See full reviewThe series was short but it explored a lot of issues (ie lonliness, broken families, poverty, unrequited loves/ crushes) lol basically the plethora of problems associated with adolescence but from a male POV. Overall it was enjoyable to watch the characters develope, change and their internal battles but I disliked the constant references where the female characters are being kissed or preyed upon without their consent but maybe it’s a Japanese norm. Not a fan of those rapist/ creep like behaviors. Aside from that it’s an good anime for Jazz, blues fans which shines more exposure of African... See full review
I have to admit, I was hesitant to continue watching this anime when I started the second episode. I was blown away by the first episode- the music, animation, and character's were amazing. But, I began to worry that this story would be focused mainly on a love triangle rather than anything else which is not really my kind of thing. But, I continued watching anyway and I am glad I did. This anime did focus on love, but more on how love can inspire and move a person forward rather than just 'high school relationship drama'. The music was amazing and I enjoyed all the characters that were introduced- they... See full review

See full reviewLet me start by asking you this. Do you want to enjoy this anime? If you said yes please press read more, if not then simply find another anime to watch because to enjoy this anime to its fullest you would either have to love horror or have a semi-dep understanding of the human mind... in my opinion. DISCLAIMER IM ONLY BASING THIS ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE WATCHING THIS SHOW, NOT FACTS Now then, if you enjoy a good slasher with an unclear purpose to the killings then go ahead and give this a watch, you will properly find it quite enjoyable. But for the people that want to enjoy it but aren't... See full review
Fanfiction OP main character nonsense. This anime is overrated beyond imagination. The person who wrote this must've been in the middle of a sad part of his life because it's 100% power fantasy trash. This piece reaches the absurdity of Isekai power fantasies. Anyways, the only reason why I'm leaving this review is because I'm sick and tired of this anime getting such great feedback. I understand this anime is pretty old compared to its new releases, but whenever I go on anime sites and see Irregular at Magic High in the popular section, I die a little inside. That's it... "Another Epilogue" is an alternate ending of sorts for Angel Beats!, replacing the last 30 seconds of the final episode with these further two and a half minutes. And in my mind, it shines as a much better, subtler epilogue to a series that suffered heavily from a rushed finale.
SPOILERS, of course, if you haven't watched Angel Beats! yet.

Typical sword swinging, magic fliging protaganist with no clue about his chidhood friend's feelings for him. No clue as how the "other" woman feels either. Like many others of this type of anime, the hero works his way up in power struggling through personal and external barriers. I decent story line and good action, this anime was entertaining and kept me wanting more.......sadly the ending leaves you hanging! Will there be another season? Not likely but I can hope to see some closure! So many loose ends.....there should be a law!

See full reviewThis anime is pretty ok, but if you come into this anime thinking that the mystery of the wall sounds interesting. You will be disappointed. But if you come into this because you like idol anime and the fun fuzzy feeling you get from watching the characters interact, 22/7 won't disappoint. It still isn't the best or nearperfect like the classics of the genre but it will for sure satisfy you!
See full reviewSST no.3 (seasonal shower thoughts) So… here I am… waiting for this anime to be good, waiting for this anime to fulfill its potential, waiting and hoping it will be great, cause it could be great, and it should be great, but as much as it saddens me… it is not great, and if it wasn’t animated beautifully it wouldn't even be good, if it was animated badly it probably wouldn’t even be bearable. I’m treating this as a season since basically that’s what it is, a mini season and continuation from where the 1st season ended. I’m very confused as to why the... See full review
Angel Beats! is an amazing anime that will melt your heart it's interesting and heartfelt, not many things make me cry but this show did.
See full reviewI absolutely love this anime. I don't care what people say about the yaoi tropes or whatever, but I adore it. The art style is so good, the characters are gorgeous, the story... HONEY... was amazing. It was so intriguing to see Ciel's past slowly reveal itself. I love the supernatural or otherworldly characters, they are eye candy. Everything is just beautiful, it was a masterpiece.
See full reviewThis anime is really great! It is a little slow at first like most anime, but once you get into it you'll fall in love with it! It has an interesting and unique storyline and relatable characters, this is definitely in my top 10 anime list. I just wish they had more seasons! ;)

See full reviewOk to start of im not a big fan of the reverse harem genre. This show was ok but a bit boring. And I hated the god damn singing/music. Like jesus why the frick do you gotta have so much music? Idk this just wasn't my cup of tea.
See full reviewThis show is freaking disgusting thats all I can say. Yui (The MC) is literally the most stupid and annoying characters ever. The plot is gross, unoriginal, and boring. All it is is vampire boys sucking an innocent girls blood every 5 minutes. This show is not good in my opinion. Don't waste your time on this garbage.
See full reviewThis show was werid and I hated it. The MC is so annoying and I just hate this show overall. The Animation and ops were pretty good though ngl. But, I think the story is weird and disgusting. Who the hell falls for their step sibilings? Ew. And this show is very unoriginal because so many other shows are about step sibling romance (idk why though because its gross). I definitely would not reccomend watching this.

How the hell have I slept on this anime for so long? It's utterly amazing I was hooked from episode 1. This show is very high IQ. If you like 400 IQ mind games then this anime is for you. And the ending does a very good job of wrapping things up, although they still haven't told us where the fuck geass comes from. Also i would fucking die for cheese-kun. The cheese-kun plush is already a top tier character despite being a literal plush doll. So glad that they did that Pizza Hut sponsorship, code geass just wouldn't be the same without seeing the Pizza Hut logo in nearly every episode. And without... See full review

When I first heard about this show, I was off anime for a while because of personal reasons and pretty much dismissed it as another generic anime. Boy was I wrong! This was a ride from start to finish, I don't think I went through any lows throughout either. First of all, I'd like to address the idiots that think getting stronger and learning new moves makes for good character growth/development. Those people should stick to likes of DBZ and MHA. Honestly, how can anyone watch this show up to the Sea King episode and say that there is no character development is beyond me. It really baffles and pisses me... See full review

See full reviewThis was an amazing twelve episode series that will definitely go down as one of my favorites. A true love story, when a boy who knows nothing, meets a girl who knows everything. An original animation showing many aspects of human nature. The beauty within mundane lives and how the smallest things can change someone forever. A bittersweet ending showing just how far fear can push humans to go. But even still, hope prevails.
See full reviewAs much hate as Re gets I don't really understand. This second half the Re in my opinion was amazing and in my eyes was the perfect ending to a show in which I have loved since the first season. Despite the fact that the first half of Re was far from the best the second season definetly in my opinion fixes that from the action to the psycholohgical fights. In my eyes was great and was as good as the first. Def worth the watch to be able to get to the final moments
See full reviewNo spoilers- I decided to watch this anime on the fly after hearing some good reviews about it online. However, I was left extremely disappointed upon finishing it. The plot for the anime follows the students in the D-class at a highschool that boasts a 100% acceptance rate into university or employment post graduation. Each month they are allotted points which they can use at the various amenities located on campus, with the allocation of points based on their academic performance. My disappointment with this anime stems from the promise that "points can buy... See full review
Very minor spoilers- This anime is a sugary sweet slice of life series that follows two girls- Adachi and Shimamura- as they become friends. The premise is simple, well executed, and features beautiful animation. I really thought it was going to be special, but it fell flat. My largest issue with this anime stems from how they treated Adachi's feelings towards Shimamura. Adachi clearly had strong feelings for her, but through a number of miscommunications, Shimamura never comes to realize that. But by doing so, it unfortunately baited the viewers into thinking it was going to feature their... See full review
Nisekoi... Nisekoi... Nisekoi... So this anime was said to be a very good one, buuuuuut I have to disagree a little bit. I mean I watched both seasons and I enjoyed them, but it was very unsatisfying, when literally nothing happens in fcking two seasons. However let me critisize in a more "simple" way. The characters were very nice and covered a huge "Trait-Area". So whether you are searching for a waifu (dafuq) or a very traditional tsundere, you will find it in Nisekoi. Also there was a very good comedy aspect, that I really enjoyed, especially the... See full review
The MC is a boy named Ryoma. Ryoma was a 42-year-old overworked company man back on Earth in Japan. He sneezed several times while sleeping and banged his head, giving himself a brain haemorrhage and dying. I’m certain this was supposed to be humorous, and maybe to bring some humour, but the whole show comes off dry and boring when you’re not killing yourself from cringing so hard you smash your own brains out on the floor when your spasms throw you from your chair. Ryoma (still 42) then meets three Gods: Lulutia - the goddess of Healing and Love: Kufo - The God of Life... See full review
This anime is really short but it packs a lot of feelings into it. It lightly touches topics like homophobia in Japan, unrequited love, the difficulties AV actors experience when trying to get into regular acting, and adult men experiencing deep feelings.
See full reviewFirst of all, I was really reluctant to watch the anime, but since I was bored I thought "I might as well give this a try!". I watched the first few episodes and they were okay, but it got weirder and weirder, to the point it was annoying. I give this a 5/10 mainly because of the first few episodes however the rest ruined the show. Especially the lame and repetitive jokes, which really got on my nerves. The characters were okay, but the concept of a 5th grader and a high schooler dating, which made the girl a pervert, wasn't a plus point to the anime in my opinion. I really don't recommend this to... See full review
