Absolute Duo

I  honestly do not understand the low reviews this anime got. It is super fun, hilariously funny and the characters are cute and interesting. Sure there are loads of boob and pantie shots but, hey, welcome to Japanese anime. Honestly, I feel like a lot of these reviews are written by Americans who, let's fact it, are quite repressed and conservative compared to much of the rest of the world. And particularly compared to the Japanese. Overall, there is little to not like about Absolute Duo. The story is interesting, the animation is pretty, it has excellent sound and the characters are some of the... See full review

Bakemonogatari

It literally means ghost-story Bakemonogatari had been on my 'want to watch' list for quite a long time. And then I decided to watch it for the bingo challenge: Fall 2019 and also there is a badge for finishing this anime( I thought I had to finish all the Motogatari titles to earn the badge. Phew!) How do I feel about Bakemonogatari? In a sentence it's different, beautiful and I found it satisfying. Now let's talk in details about it. Shall we? Story: At first( I mean for the first episode) everything seemed really confusing. But with time thing started to settle in a pattern. araragi Koyomi is a... See full review

Assassins Pride

Minor spoilers ahead Let me start by saying that I haven't seen the original material for this - I fully believe it is much better than this adaptation.  Kufa, who is supposedly an assassin, gets hired as a mentor for a girl named Melida. Melida comes from a rich family and is attending a fancy (private?) school where she's training to become a fighter. She is a good student, BUT she has no mana - as in she can't use magic. Her family wants to get rid of her and that's where Kufa comes in. I started watching this thinking it'll be fairly okayish, entertaining seasonal anime but with some twists and... See full review

Shounen Kenya

Dec 6, 2019

Shounen Kenya is a weird show. I'd even go so far as to call it bizarre. It's story is a mess and it's characters are extremely one-dimentional. The animation, while overall good, has a variety of strange things about (which I firmly believe to have been on purpose). I was, honestly, very much interested and captivated by the show, mainly for the weirdness and animation. It's a surreal watch. If you like the "so bad it's good" type of show or can enjoy some interesting visuals then I'd highly recommend Shounen Kenya. Story: 1/10

Just WOW. 2nd season is upgrade of season 1 it far exceeded my expectations.Truly unique anime with good messages that can probably almost everybody relate to. Writing is still top. In comparison with first season I felt like there was more comedy more action, good animation and OHHH the character development in this season is so good so enjoyable so good paced. Shigeo  with support of friends from season 1 changed and truly broke from his shell  and Reigen  learnt appreciate others and they still remained the same characters even when they have grown.  If you are looking for some fresh slice of life and funny anime or you like animals (cats) this is definitely for you. MC is novelist who is very shy and don t have much contact with people (afraid of crowds and so on..). It is little unique so we have story from MC perspective and cats perspective. MC get inspiration for his novel when he found a cat but the cat will have much more impact on his life not just because he will take care of her he will also start to interact with people which he doesn t want at the beginning and later we will see him willingly take the first steps when he "breaks... I want to start this review by addressing how this anime is related to Ashita no Joe.  In short, it's not.  It was written by Asao Takamori's younger brother and while it may very well have been inspired by Ashita no Joe, it doesn't involve that Universe or set of characters.  To call it a spirtual successor is frankly an insult to Ashita no Joe.  This review will contain spoilers, so avoid if this would bother you. Story~ The basic story is that two boxers have vastly opposing ideals and through the exchange of fists in the ring they pit these conflicting ideaologies against one... See full review

This story was very interesting and I hate that it ended! While Bloom Into You had a great story, there were some loose ends or rather, some storylines that I hope would definitely lead to a season 2! The show left on a higher note but it still has me wondering what comes next! I don't regret watching this!

**SPOILER-FREE!** This show comes with some very high highs and some pretty low lows, but I would recommend this anime to most people. The characters, in my opinion, are very good. They each are well rounded, react in reasonable ways, and have their own goals which develop along with the series. Sometimes they're even nuanced! I think Yahiro, Shu, and Inori really have something going on sometimes. Those characters at their best really show some internal conflict and suffer from really having no idea what they're doing (which sounds like a bad thing but really makes sense considering their age and the... No real spoilers, but this might tip you off to where the plot may (or may not :D) twist.  First: Mai is awesome! Throughout the series she continues to react to situations in an unorthodox but very kind/reasonable way. She lets herself show her emotions without letting them control her actions. I was pretty impressed, and got to learn a few things from her : ) Second: I love the idea of puberty syndrome. In real life, of course it isn't as physical, but they are issues many people deal with. I do wish there had been more time to explore *how it worked*, but I also enjoyed having it left up to... The 0.1 score review of this show is so biased and baseless, please disregard it. I have watched both seasons of SD Gundam Force and I'm here to review it properly. Obviously I have my own bias, I enjoy cutesy stuff. This is a family-friendly, kid's anime that is meant to be fun, colorful and upbeat. For a comparison, this is the Transformers: Rescue Bots of the Gundam series. (Another series I greatly enjoyed, if you liked that, you'll like this.) If you like cute anime, fun characters and silliness, you will enjoy SD Gundam Force. It has an overarching plot that revolves around defeating the forces of... See full review

Reasons to watch: listen to Wendee Lee and Steven Blum embarrass themselves with this garbage. There remains an eternal struggle between two forces destined to forever fight: a James Bond wannabe with a cybernetic eye and a laser stick, and a military official who blows things apart with his mind. I know it sounds ridiculous, but that is because that is the plot for this boring, lifeless anime. Everything that made the first episode at least tolerable is made worse! The bland characters are bland, the fights are bland, the designs are bland, the story is dead on arrival and any sense of stupid fun is... See full review

Maid-sama!

Maid-sama! is I think my favourite rom-com anime. The main protagonist - Misaki is a strong and kind of fearful person in school. I really liked how she wanted to show that she's capable of doing things herself, but when things were getting bad, she would let Usui help her. Also Usui... he's just too perfect. He protects her, helps her, and I'll just give you a warning before watching it - it doesn't have a second season. Also, I wanted to scream so many times to Usui "JUST DO ANYTHING THAT WILL MAKE HER BELIEVE THAT YOU LIKE HER!", but of course after some times she starts to see that he's quite... See full review

Im surprisied it's getting another season since the first season. its basically fan service with the nudity, and its harder to find the episodes since season 2 & 3 aren't on a readily avalible site, you have to do some digging to find them. with that said i still love all the characters besides the cringy lines before the boss battle (so to speak) of an episode/arc. Character wise, the Main protagainst Kajou Akatsuki is a potato-brained idiot who can't take hints from girls, which makes him unique in the aspect of love and makes him a little innocent despite him being a blood sucking vampire with a... It started of great and usually I am a big fan of Anime about classic music. This one had a very great beginning but it kinda got boring the longer I watched. It highjacked in a few Episodes and moments but ut stayed a little dry at most points. The music however is indeed amazing, though the CGI animation ruined it sometimes. The main character has a good development, most of the side characters are literally tossed aside though and only picled up again if they were necessary for our main characters development. The story is nice, but nothing more, nothing special.  Well overall it is a nice Anime... See full review

Watch at own risk if you're actually too young to watch. In a good creative way, in some scenes the vibe is enhanced by adding flashbacks to abusive pasts. If you cannot physical abuse or sexual abuse, I recommend you don't watch it. Now onto the anime itself. I really loved the anime. The ending especially mislead the watcher into thinking the plot was all about escaping the game, like you would think first since this is just another trapped-in-a-game anime.

Amazing anime. Though, if you never did your best in High School, you probably are going to hate it, because it has lots of references to chemistry and science, which could ruin the entire anime if you know nothing about those subjects. That being said, it can also be very educational. The story is good, but it seems a little empty to me. Most episodes contribute to the story but could also be considered fillers. In a nutshell, people like me who have decent knowledge in science and stuff will most likely enjoy the anime, others not that much unless they're eager to learn more.

Jigoku Shoujo aka Hell Girl is an episodic anime, focusing on some very human emotions; revenge and hate. Every episode features a different character, usually some teenager or someone in their mid 20’s, who has suffer in their life or have been treated unfairly. That’s not always the case because it only shows their side of the story so sometimes you only see how they think they’ve been treated wrongly. After introducing their story, then it shows how they want to get revenge for all the unfairness in their lives so they choose to sell their soul to achieve it. Some of the reasons are... This was a story about people. It can be considered slice-of-life, but it does have a plot. In fact, it balances the two things well. The majority of your time is spent watching four high school girls goof off, but the plot never stalls. On occasion, their antics ARE the plot, like the passport incident. This is a wonderfully done, simple story. Only 45 minutes long, Hotarubi no Mori e does an amazing job of picking the right moments and character traits to develop. Although this makes the story single-faceted and plain, it does well to support the nolstalgic romance of childhood first loves. The animation, although old due to the time this short was created, has aged well. Again, it supports the feeling of the past. Long ago memories are faded but sweet. So is Hotarubi no Mori e's animation. This careful crafting of events is echoed throughout the film, climaxing in a simultaneously heart-warming and... See full review

But every so often, there will be one that taps into the vein of other countries. From the England-based Black Butler and Vinland Saga to (ironically) one of the best depictions of New York City in Banana Fish. In that same vein, here lies a show steeped in the time period of America's 1920s Probation Era, and a dang faithful-looking one at that. May contain few minor spoilers... It's my very first anime review, and I'm not a good writer, so it will be short. Sorry. Characters: Main party of 3 1. Sweaty, broke god in jumpsuit 2. A girl that tends to lose herself 3. Edgy teen They aren't complex characters, but they are not boring either. They are just good, simple, likeable characters. Minor characters were nice too, I had high hopes for Nora to be more then she was, more involved in the story, as her character had potential. Sound: I really like the opening, internal music was good, voice acting was ok, nothing that made me rewatch... See full review

If you have watched Chrono Crusade, that is the feel you get watching this all the way through... you have been warned. Too short for the full story and many of the details are hidden in reactions and insinuations. You need to read between the lines to understand many of the plot points. Overall a good story that has a gut punching finaly. But felt like a 24 episode version would have done it a great service. Enjoyable characters, and an intriguing twist on the post apocalyptic type story. Worth watching at least once.

If you are too lazy to read through the whole review, then the summary is YOU SHOULD WATCH IT, ITS WORTH IT. Without spoiling too much, the story is a short, simple and sweet tale of a girl who meets a forest spirit.  Their friendship is so heartwarming and pure.  This anime movie is around 40 minutes but these 40 minutes of my life was not wasted.  I actually watched an AMV of this and i was already crying (The AMV is here but there is a spoiler in it so watch it after the movie).  When i watched the movie, my poor heart... It's not a review, It's more like a list of problems this anime has, according to me of course. *SPOILER ALERT* Hiromi Yuasa, after the death of her parents, started to live with her classmate Shinichirou and his parents, due to them being friends with Hiromi's. At first, Hiromi acts coldly towards Shinichirou, even if she's in love with him (and viceversa). Shinichirou later meets a rather weird girl, Noe, who says she has lost her tears and wants Shinichirou to cry and give his tears to her, so that she can put them in a small bottle (completely forgotten in the whole show). Noe believes Shinichirou... See full review

This is one of the very few shows I will give all 10s to. It does have some touch and go moments. But overall the show is great.  The overall story in entertaining, and highly believable. Yes, there is things that flat out couldn't happen in the real world. But within the world the show presents. It is awsome. The animation and sound is some of the best I've seen. The characters have a bit of depth. Some more than others, but even side people have some depth. IMO you will know if this is for you within the first or 2 ep.

First of all I would like to start off by mentioning that this is my first anime review and I am writing it in the spirit of the 2019 Secret Santa game so that the person who recommended this anime to me might read this and see what I thought of one of their recommendations.  Overview/synopsis The story revolves around a hot-tempered gang boss named Ash Lynx. His lust for revenge against his adopted father, sexual abuser and captor coincides with his fated meeting with Eiji Okumura, a 19-year-old assistant photographer with an innocent mind and pure heart. Over the course of events that take... See full review
