I was pleasantly surprised I thought after watching half of the first episode that it would be one of those predictable anime with a plot I've seen a hundred times over but it proved me wrong i recommend watching the first episode to the end then you'll know what I meanSee full review
At first it was fun but by the dress rosa arc it became slow and boring. The characters never change and theres lots of plot armour and power of friendship crap.See full review
Love is Like a Cocktail Special is an interesting three-minute episode, one that makes me wonder why not just include it with the original run. The special isn't really adding additional information or higher characters to the mix, but what it does show that even though the couple may not be able to spend ample amount of time with each other they still love one another. Chisato is once again too busy with her work and feels sad about not being able to spend more time with her husband Sora. Sora sees that she's not her happy-go-lucky self and decides to make a cocktail for his beloved, which... See full review
It’s hard to properly describe just how absurd Hells is. Much like feelings themselves, this movie is inexplicable, irrational, and borderline unpredictable at times. By that same token, given that it embodies feelings so well, it does an admirable job at being a delightfully earnest film. It’s honestly a shame this eye-catcher didn’t receive that much attention until now.
On that note, let’s start at what drew me in. The art style in this movie is insane! Far removed from the blander or softer art styles present in most anime, this movie showcases rough outlines and keeps the... See full review
Anime Bingo Challenge: Winter 2019 There will be spoilers. Watch the things before you try to find out about the things. Honestly, I never thought I'd be doing a review for this movie. I can't tell you how many times I've watched this movie (17... 18 times). This is literally my favorite movie of all time. So I may be a bit biased. That being said, it's quite a well constructed movie. Digimon, in general, was always extremely good at storytelling and unfolding the plot. We had directions that we were going... See full review
I am surprised to be the first one to add a review and no I am not ashamed to review before the anime ends, there is no need to wait.
Its...not that good. Especially for somebody who really likes the original novels, manga and anime before.
What happened? I think every problem this series have is pasting issues. They simply try to fit so much stuff in to the episodes which forces them to cut needed character development. It also forces them to put exposition more in to dialog and Touma looks more stupid and boring then he does in the light novel, by far.
They are faithfull... See full review

This anime... you have to watch and experience it yourself. Personally, it's a masterpiece. With gorgeous visuals and character development. The story is slightly above the average expectations, and that in itself makes it better than most animes on the market. Every crucial character had went through a epiphany of their own (with the exception of Zeno) and honestly, I think that's beautiful. The soundtrack is one that can stay with you and sometimes sends some chills down your back. Episode 16 is one you can get enjoyment out of even without watching the entire series. It gives an important portrayal of... See full review

There are some shows that we can’t help to hype for some reason or another, be it because of its visuals or a renowned staff behind the show, which turns out to be a disappointment. Sequence is one of those cases but, what could have gone wrong with this OVA? Let’s start with the positive bits of this show, the art and animation was really good. Animation was really fluid and both the backgrounds and the characters’ design are pretty even by today’s standards. This OVA looked better than a lot of the stuff we get nowadays, even if it is more than 25 years old! The soundtrack was... See full review
Ok, so basically I LOVE every single character in Attack on Titans, but I can't choose between Eren and Levi as my favorite. Eren is hardheaded, strong-willed, passionate, and impulsive, which are attributes of his strong determination to protect mankind which makes him a very inspiring character for the viewers but also for the people surrounding him. Eren can be so determined into doing something that he starts to have limited self-control and as a result, he could bring a lot of trouble to himself but more importantly to others. His anger could drive him into horrific... See full review
Noragami: Aragoto Review Note: This review is a direct continuation from my review of Noragami’s first season, posted here. You should start by reading that if you want my complete thoughts about this Noragami. I watched this series subtitled in English on Blu-Rays released courtesy of Funimation. (To my great satisfaction and eager recommendation!) But, otherwise, please do keep in mind that this review contains heavy spoilers. On the whole, I thought Noragami: Aragoto was an... Noragami Review The following review is for the anime Noragami and its follow-up season Noragami: Aragoto, and it is meant to be taken as a single review despite being divided into two parts. Noragami is an anime based off a manga series of the same name created by the female mangaka duo Adachitoka. The anime was created by STUDIO BONES and was directed by a fellow named Kotaro Tamura in his first directorial debut. The series was written by a woman named Deko Akao, who is actually a prolific scriptwriter for many more projects. Some of these works in Deko’s scriptwriting resume include Arkawa Under... Anime Bingo Challenge: Winter 2019 This will contain spoilers and mention events from the manga that were not animated. I remember when the first episode of the first season of Tokyo Ghoul aired. It was life changing. It was one of those moments where you're just so engrossed by what's happen, the planets and stars align, it was amazing. I immediately delved into the manga and was addicted to the series ever since. Which is lucky, because the Anime has made some very bad choices, and Tokyo Ghoul:re... See full review
A very refreshing show about friendship and life progression. Story: Engrossing and consistent. Slice of life shows are usually marked by a lack of plot progression but this one has a solid plot, and an engrossing one too. Four MCs - each with their own backstory - set out on a journey to antartica; they want to move forward in their lives. They become inseparable friends along the way. The friendship is charming. Includes bits of pleasant comedy. I liked it. Sometimes emotional. Those emotional scenes -they aren’t heavy; they aren’t meant to be heavy- are done very very... See full review
It`s really, really rushed. I have not read the manga and there were times when I had no idea what was going on behind the character`s motivations. My main complaints: Furuta was a weak villain, Hide-Kaneki reunion handled..not well and there truly felt like no proper development was given to Kaneki and Touka`s relationship ( the sex scene came out of nowhere) I feel like the story has so much potential, but I`m sorry to say it`s wasted here.See full review
I absolutely loved it !! I would recommand the story because it is different : I believe what's makes the story special is the fact that the main characters are not overpowered, there is humor, and also dark content which makes it roller coaster of emotions and an enjoyable ride ! As for the story, alchemy and fantasy makes it more intresting because mostly everyone knows what happened during the Hundred Years War but here these magical elements make way for unexpected scenes and so the story becomes even more intriguing ! The music is also captivating and the piano is really great for emotional scenes... See full review
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a pretty entertaining dark comedy about a very pessimistic teacher who tries to force his look on life onto his students. The students themselves are a colorful bunch but are no angels themselves and all deal with their own disturbing issues. No matter their issues though, it doesn't stop them from questioning their teacher methods. The show doesn't mind crossing that line that makes most people feel uncomfortable. It does an excellent job to then also make it awkwardly entertaining while displaying how messed up the world we live in can be. Akiyuki Shinbo takes full advantage... See full review
I decided to watch this anime because:
a) The winter 2019 bingo challenge
b) Wanted to see a good idol anime after Zombieland Saga brought me close to loathing the idol genre
Gotta say I was not disappointed and pleasently surprised at how wholesome and fun the show was. Story As we all know by the synopsis, it's about girls becoming idols to save their school from closing. At first, I thought the idea was ridiculous. My first thought was ''How?'' Thankfully, the show gives us a logical explanation right at the start.
It's also good to see that not everything is set up for them on a golden... See full review
This anime is everything and what if the sky and then the god did who what where how it ended up being. Yup, that's eactly as much as the plot makes sense not to mention that this is god awful and painful to look at. I think others have already done the show justice when it comes to how this could've been made. Clearly the staff who animated this were just looking to create something weird, random, sexual, and full of explostions. The design of the movie harkens back to old 90's comics with it's harsh black shadows and thick lines which eventually just becomes a giant fucking steaming pile of dog shit on... See full review
I personally really liked this anime, even though it was not exactly what I expected when I started watching it. With a tittle like that, you might expect an ecchi or a harem, but this was so much more. although there are a few moments with a bit of fan service and multiple girls, this is a coming of age story about a supernatural assurance called puberty syndrome, where your mind creates weird stuff (ex a girl gets bullied online, but gets hurt in real life.)See full review
Story [7.5/10] Attack on Titan follows a boy named Eren who lives in a city walled off against the dangerous giants which roam the countryside. Eren and his friend Armin dream of exploring the outside world, the nature of which, has not been seen for so long, is thus unknown. Eren resents that they're forced to live like "cattle" within the walls and idolises the military regiment which explores beyond the walls, the survey corps, in an attempt to understand the giants called Titans and advance civilisation beyond the walls. However, humanity is attacked by the Titans and humanity's... See full review
This show is in serious need of a fair review. I'm a straight man. I'm no fan of Yaoi content but that doesn't bear much relevance in the overall plot of Have vs have nots and science vs nature. The low reviews put a lot of weight on that fact and in a word it is homophobic. Story wise it's pretty decent. The ending kind of goes off the rails and pulls far more out of its ass than it should though. Animation is good for when it was made although action is sparse here. Sound? I hate turning anime into quasi musicals. It was terrible in that regard for the last half. The OP and ED were forgetable as... See full review
REALLY SUMMARIZED VERSION: This anime toys with your trust in people and makes you care about the characters in a deeper sense which is all wrapped up with world shattering cicumstances. Please give it your time and you (probably) won't regret it. THIS SERIES IS GOD AWFUL-ly hard hitting. It punches you directly in the cry spot. Ok, maybe I should explain what I mean by this. There is often very ridiculous animtion but it clearly tries to go for a style of it's own which is why I don't consider it a flaw in any way, shape, or form. The story of the series stays interesting all the way through with... See full review
This is an anime that I was not sure about watching before I finally gave it a chance. I came across it a few times here on Anime-planet when I was looking for a new anime to watch, but I kept looking right past it for a while. All I knew about it at the time was that that it was made in the 70s and what the cover image looked like, which gave me a glipse of what the art style was like. I originally did not give the anime a fair chance just because it was about thirty-nine years old. After I have seen it I wish I saw it sooner. This is actually the kind of anime that is right up my ally because it is a... See full review
REALLY SUMMARIZED VERSION: This anime has great ideas for characters and a plot with a little bit of an irritating main character. The series ends prematurely and generally leaves you feeling empty inside, wanting more out of the show. This anime is very impactful in a very short period of time. 12 episodes in the first and only season. It constantly sends you through loops about what will happen next with Ganta Igarashi. Action sequences are often really impressive with their dynamic movement around Ganta's blood along with other characters "aireborne" weapons. the sound design created by... See full review
This anime was deep and touching, depressing, and loving all at the same time. The unrequited love was very deep and emotional and you really could feel the love and the heartbreak of these characters! All of them wanted something that they could not have and they felt so bad that they felt they needed a replacement or someone to fill a void for satisfaction! You could really tell the want and need that these characters were facing toward their love interest and it really touches you and feels you up with these emotions of wanting the characters to get who they want, but at the end of the day, they see that... This story is so GOOD yet sad and the plot really flowed throughout the whole anime series. The only thing that I would comment on to make it better is to include a more fulfilling ending so it feels more worthwhile to watch. I recommend this mostly for people that enjoy some romance and lots of emotional scenes, but then again you could just ignore this completely 😤😭 Ps. throughout the series, was it just me that realized how different Ari's hair color ended up? (yeah, don't mind me... this is just really random)See full review

Summary: A meditation on humanity and nature. And how Mushishi became my favorite anime. When I started watching anime again in 2014 after a long hiatus, I saw fans of a series called Mushishi praising how it was “beautiful” and a “masterpiece.” In these same discussion threads, there were also critics arguing that Mushishi was actually “pretentious” and “boring.” Seeing such strong and opposing opinions, I opted to see for myself how good—or bad—Mushishi truly was. About a quarter way through the first episode, I was already siding with the... See full review

“Outbreak Company” is probably an excellent isekai-like show. Not too good but it’s an enjoyable yet good show. It’s okay to say at least whether this anime is bad or wrong. Otaku and Japanese culture is a thing, right? Okay, this anime seems like a promotion. Like the protagonist through it, “Outbreak Company” breaks on its own. A useful otaku? Why not with this anime? Hikkikomori or something like that? Anyway, “Outbreak Company” based on a light novel with the same name by Ichirou Sakaki. The show really focused on the main character promotes the otaku... Story: Teenager Kazu goes to visit his Aunt in Hiroshima, they wander around Hiroshima a bit and Kazu takes a message back to his depressed buddy in order to inspire him to win at pingpong/life. ... so yeah, nothing particularly complex, about as expected for a "modern message from a past event" drama, but it handles the subject matter well, with gravity and a fair amount of depth, especially considering the short episode. This movie was a side story, nothing that has any impact on the main story of Blue Exorcist. Overall it was an okay film to (not really) distract your mind from stuff. (Not really, because sometimes I was bored and looked at how much time I have left 'til it all ends.) Of course, this is really subjective, so I suggest giving this movie a chance.
One word: predictable. I basically knew the whole story since the opening sccene finished and surprise, surprise! The story was almost acurate to what I have guessed.

REALLY SUMMARIZED VERSION: This anime is goofy and raunchy, adorned with a bombastic soundtrack, with incredible action sequences contrasted with horrible flash animation here and there, along with don't-give-a-fuck characters and parody of western culture. Overall it is worth watching through for the sake of knowing of it's unique qaulities. REALLY SUMMARIZED VERSION: This series is gross, funny, very intense and at times emotionally impactful - if you can get past (or enjoy) the relentless panty shots, odd sexual situations, and bdsm. Prison School is a niche anime (As I'm sure other people have commented on). If you hate the unrealisticly sized boobs, overused panty shots, and seemingly ridiculous sexual (and sometimes also strange) situations that some anime are littered with than just don't even touch this one because there is one at least every 2 to 4 minutes. Why did I even watch this? One thing I can say for sure this anime taught me a lot about one word „ichaicha“. It means “make out” i.e. kissing, touching, etc. It’s been while since I watched some crappy harem anime series. As it is usual for any harem that does not fall into hentai category, there is no real action happening. What you get instead is bunch of girls, mostly crazy i.e. resulting in a lot of comical moments, to compete over generic onii-chan. The premise of story is quite simple. I’m just talking about it so you would get the picture, what the story is like... See full review
„Even in death I want to fulfil my dream…“, says the main character in the beginning of anime opening. Zombie land saga is anime I’ve quite enjoyed especially the first few episodes. In particular the first episode is a blast. No doubt the best first episode of the season. Unfortunately it doesn’t keep the initial appeal and slides more to the side of idol anime tropes such as overcoming problems to perform, managing to dance properly, etc. even if it preserves comical over the top narration. However for an idol series it doesn’t try to take itself too seriously. While... See full review
5 stars for entertainment value alone. It's basically a song that could have come straight out of Katamari Damacy, with almost 5 minutes of animated banana hammocks. Devilman: Crybaby is a divisive series, and it's not hard to see why - explicit sexual content, graphic violence, an unusual and often less than pretty art style, and at times haphazard storytelling, just to touch on a few details.
