Who doesn't remember the original Pokemon series that started it all? It was all about the games and this series back then, one of the series that got me into anime. I remember getting this tape in the mail that promoted the series, figures, and Red/Blue games. Made alot of fuss in grade school too, with Pokemon cards, which then got banned. Anyways, the Indigo series starts off with 10 year old Ash Ketchum (not sure how he is still 10 in this day and age xD), getting ready to start his Pokemon Journey as a Pokemon Trainer. If it couldn't get any worse, they almost killed off Gatomon, we all knew that Tai wasn't actually dead, and even though Jessmon saved Gatomon, it wasn't enough to save Meicoomon from being a shell of Ordinemon, so she ended up dying. So much for Meiko being a new Digidestined, for they just killed her partner. Omnimon's form looked like the Wing Zero Custom from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz. This definitely wasn't a good set of movies, for it retconned the original series, I would've actually preferred it continued from the ending of Adventure 02 with newer Digidestined related to this cast. It could've been better. Had so many dramas with the Digidestined, especially with Mimi and with Joe. Joe gets all crazy over being a Digidestined and having to save the world, making Gomamon feel upset and run away from him. Mimi ends up getting into a big depression over her class not liking her outfits or ideas. The antics with the Digimon were amusing though, with Meicoomon and Biyomon in the men's bathroom and the girls trying to get to them, and the Digimon going to the school festival to enter a contest for free food, with Meicoomon being the winner. Wasn't really that bad to me. I only got a temporary Netflix subscription JUST to see this. Basically a redone version of Pokemon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back, but in 3D. I really wasn't bothered by how the people looked. The soundtrack was good compared to the English dub version of the original Mewtwo Strikes Back (do people actually think the song "Brother my Brother" fits with Pokemon and their clones beating each other up?). There were a few changes from the original but it still was good. Both the original and Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution were both great.

Actually enjoyed the Super anime. I don't count the first 2 seasons since they were based on the movies but it got good when it opened to Champa's Tournament but got even better when it got to the Goku Black Arc, my favorite of the arcs on Super, although the whole "Zamasu covering the entire earth and being erased by Zeno's cheapness" wasn't really a good ending. Other than that ending, the arc was great, Goku Black is awesome. Tournament of Power was ok but not really the greatest aside from Goku reaching Ultra Instinct. One of my favorite Pikachu shorts! It introduced the Pichu Bros! Ash, Misty, and Brock go out in the city and leave their Pokemon for a while, meanwhile Pikachu goes out and ends up meeting the Pichu Bros, he visits their Pokemon Clubhouse and ends up running from a Houndour with them (Note: that Houndour becomes recurring in Pichu Bros themed episodes), with later having to repair the Clubhouse. All that time, Ash was preparing a party that apparently was the day Ash met Pikachu! It was a very cute Pikachu short!
