While there were elements of the story that kept me holding out until the end, I felt that ultimately the story telling in this show was lazy, always opting to "tell" rather than "show," and was also cowardly. The "healing power" was overused and caused injuries in the show to have no real suspense attached to them. It was almost ridiculous that you have scenes where creatures unaffilated with the royal family are masacred (though the show is rarely explicit), but the worst a supporting character got was loss of limb.
