I have NOT read the manga. This review is for those who will not read it/have not. If you think you would enjoy an emotion filled story about a kid who decides to do art way after his peers have, watch this. Is the manga better? Most likely but this is often the case anyways. I loved the story, I loved the characters, I loved the inner conflict that every single character is shown to have. If you end up relating to a character's story then you might end up crying. SPOILERS I just finished watching this half of season four, and I really enjoyed it. There are so many moving pieces and can get very confusing sometimes, but it is obvious that the cliffhangers and secret information are given out the same it always has been.  I came into this thinking I would despise Gabi but honestly . . . her and S1 Eren are almost identical.  My BIGGEST issue with this is how little we got on how Eren got this way. Story: basic sports anime. Seemed okay and realistic. This is NOT a GL. Some other websites listed it as such and so I started it. Anime-Planet does not list it as one which is correct. There is just the normal queer-baiting and only one questionable moment between two of the girls, which is not physical and can be interpreted as friendly (I didn't, though).  Animation: If you want to laugh, please watch this show. NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW: I am one to enjoy something 10/10 but NEVER have all the rating criteria be 100%. Michiko & Hatchin just broke that streak. The story was amazing, the animation was so smooth and the people of color were done so well (I am white; the reviews I have seen by POC who have watched this spoke on the accuracy), the music reminded me of Cowboy Bebop, and the characters were so well revealed and fleshed out.  The ending felt so beautiful and real. LOWKEY SPOILERS Durarara is an anime that is indescribable to me. Its story is unlike any other and the twists and storylines mesh together perfectly. That being said, it was excruciating hard for me to finish it-- and not because I didn't want it to end. The characters were AWFUL. I really like gag anime and that includes this one. Laughed as hard as I did while watching Saiki K. There are some uncomfortable scenes with nonchalant s*xual assault, which is the norm in anime (and especially in gag anime); however, I think it would be good to point it out. Other than that, super funny and I am looking forward to reading the manga and maybe a S2.
