I read the light novel for a while and what I enjoyed from it was the depth and detail the writer puts into his story, it’s that detail that raised it above the tidal wave of generic isekai stories. A great sequel to an already strong series and a great conclusion to the story started in season one. Selector Spread WIXOSS takes all of the areas in which the first season was lacking and addresses it to create an all-round great anime. Now I will concede that the anime's card battles are not entirely loyal to how the card games play's but if you go into this anime not knowing the rules like me I grantee you this will not impact your view of the series.
All in all, I strongly recommend watching this series.
