I thought the interrupted sex in the first chapter was an interesting way to build up tension and expectation for the readers, so that once there was a proper release it felt more satisfying. The sex scenes can be sorta steamy; there are a few short ones scattered throughout and a longer scene in the final chapter.
Other than the first chapter, the story takes place when the daughter, Ayumi, is in kindergarten or pre-school or something. It does an alright job getting across the points of drama that it wanted to, but I never felt like I'd really been brought into their world. The side characters don't feel fleshed out and most of the interactions (with non-main characters) feel shallow and uninteresting. It's largely just a fluff piece, showing them being a family. I appreciated the way it showed Kazuma not liking being called a "wife" or being seen as the woman in the relationship, but I also got a bit annoyed at how people kept teasing fem by referring to fem in that way (and I also got annoyed at how Kazuma femself seemed to tease Chiaki in a similar way (about the wedding dress), even though fe should've known from personal experience that that wouldn't be appreciated).
