The biggest flaw with this manga is that it seems badly paced and ill-focused. They introduce plot elements, then suddenly interrupt them with tangents or new plot elements. Often the scenes are overly obvious and unnuanced in the what their goal is--like they're yelling out "THIS SCENE IS HERE TO SHOW HOW THE JOB CHANGE FUNCTION CAN BE PRACTICAL IN A FIGHT!" But even if I can recognize why such-and-such scene is included, there's no overarching flow between them. It's clunky and amateurish. Months fly by super quickly. There's scene changes and focus changes thrown on us abruptly. In addition to that, a boring amount of the dialogues are explanations of how things work. And the attempts at more human interactions feel very plastic and fake, in the way of many manga caricatures. There are also too many characters introduced and they all feel shallow and uninteresting. There's a harem element, but honestly, who cares? The monsters look absolutely stupid, the people look stilted and overly generic (like, the girls all look very similar), and the fight scenes are mediocre at best. And at the end of the day, I'm asking myself "Why are they even showing Kaname's time in the seminary? Where is this story even trying to go?" Like, I can understand the function of the job-change ability, but I just don't see how this manga intends to create a compelling long-term storyline around that ability. And currently, it's just turning into a boring fighting-and-harem manga with the job change thing just being Kaname's power suite for the fights. Also, there's a rabbit companion that just feels like a stupid and unnecessary mascot.
