What makes this manga appealing is its cute art and the daawwww feeling whenever Urushi gets embarrassed. And it's pretty pleasant and enjoyable. But when I went to rate this manga, I thought to myself "While I don't actively dislike this manga or get annoyed by it, would I miss it if I never read another chapter?" And the truth is that no, I wouldn't. I probably wouldn't think twice about its absence. It's a time-filler--a good time-filler--but a time-filler nonetheless.

The premise of the story is that Urushi knows that Ayumu likes fem and tries to get fem to admit to it, but Ayumu refuses since fe wants to beat Urushi in shogi at least once before confessing. And though Ayumu remains tight-lipped about this, fe's unabashedly straightforward about calling fem cute or saying that fe just wants to spend time with fem or all sorts of other things which make Urushi blush. Urushi tries to do things in response which will make Ayumu blush, but always just ends up blushing even more femself.

As for the art, I could definitely see how someone might rate it as a 10. Almost every facial expression of Urushi's is drawn to look cute. And I can't really put my finger on why it didn't hit that level for me. It could be that Ayumu, the male character, just looks bland and stiff. It could be that Urushi's cuteness feels a little too smooth and polished. I dunno.
