Anogawa Kozaburo is supposed to come across as earnest or whatever, but it doesn't feel genuine when fe says these girls fe's just met are important to fem and that fe's willing to be with them forever in order to help them. The earnestness just comes across as fake, which makes the girls' reactions (of interpreting fem as genuinely earnest) feel very contrived. Obviously, the story is mainly just an excuse for a bunch of nudity and sexuality, but still.
