What's that one YouTube series--"Death Battle." This is like that but with all the match-ups being famous warriors from this very specific era of Japanese history, the end of the Sengoku period. The artwork is very nice, which helps the fights look visually appealing. But I don't necessarily care for the flow of the fights. The author tries to keep the fight engaging by swinging the momentum back and forth and having each of the characters power-up multiple times, but the swings just end up feeling a bit predictable. I did really like the climax of the first match in chapters 5 and 6, so it might just be that the author is good at climaxes but not the best at the build-up. Or it might be that the author is trying to make sure the fights are a certain length, but just ends up dragging things out a bit. I also don't care for the attempts at audience commentary or hyping things up.
