"Messed up", "Oh... this is dark", "One of the best animes ever" - This is about what I expected going into Made in Abyss. I'd seen rave reviews, that it even made some cry. And, yeah I was underwhelmed, Made in Abyss is an anime among others. It's not special, and it is definitely not "dark". Gold - covered in a mound of shit. The Iron Fortress has a strong premise and presentation. But fails everywhere else, the characters are braindead, the plot is borderline boring and the melodramatic writing is barely tolerable at best, infuriating at worst. I could barely make it to episode 5 before giving up. 

I like my superhero and romance stories to be serious. This isn't for me, but who knows you might enjoy it. If you like unserious, over the top stories, Love after World Domination might be for you. 

Flcl is an immensely frustrating watch. The characters are like that of demon slayer on steroids. It feels like multiple toddlers screeching in my ears. And the pacing, well I'm not a fan of lightspeed storytelling. All that makes for an experience I consider to be unwatchable. Truly goes to show how enjoying anime is so subjective.

Terror in resonance is fine, decent even. I think you can watch this and have some fun. However, it is not memorable or remarkable. Its only footprint on history will be as Studio Mappa's first outing. 

Blue lock is an average show with supreme production value. I think it's entertaining and worth a watch, however, Blue Lock is plagued by minor and major issues that let it down considerably. First, dialogue, there's too much of it. Would you like Demon Slayer, if at every slash the action paused and the characters started contemplating their next move? Which leads me to my next point, weapon, ego, formula, monster, zero to one, and evolving are all terms constantly used, yet don't feel impactful. Dr. Stone is poised for mediocrity because it's a shounen. Relying on its genre's most infuriating tropes, as such, Dr. Stone begets a clashing story and tone. Would I recommend this anime? It certainly wouldn't be my first pick. But its creative premise and story do make it worth a watch, that is if you can sit through tedious storytelling, illogical decisions, and stiff battle animations. 

Bocchi the rock is a fantastic cozy anime, the characters and the animation are superb. But where it lacks, well it brings down the story. The music sucks, the concerts sound decent but it's never great and the rest just sounds bland. You can never tell when they're playing badly or great, there's also a surprising lack of music. It's not a deal-breaker but it does bring this show down. 

SPY x FAMILY: Part II is exactly like part 1 for better or for worse. If you enjoyed part 1 you'll like this, it's more of the same. However, if you were hoping the second season would fix the major issues plaguing this show, you'll be disappointed. Yor is still criminally underdeveloped, the story is still progressing at a snail's pace and there's no tension nor suspense. But hey, Anya's cute...

I read the manga about a year ago, and the anime is good. Though sometimes the animation feels lacking and cheap. But, it still retains the fun story that made the manga so popular. However I still cannot get myself to like shadow, he's treated like an ignorant doofus. I understand it's a gimmick but I believe it's not particularly well done otherwise, it's great go watch it. 

Classroom of the elite has one thing going for it, its protagonist. Otherwise, it's mostly boring.

Alderamin is great, but there's one fatal flaw stopping me from giving this a wholehearted recommendation. Its lack of episode/season 2. Alderamin has fantastic characters yet its side cast is thoroughly underdeveloped. The sword fights are dazzling, yet the gunfights lack intensity and volume. If you're fine watching this knowing you'll probably never know the conclusion go for it, it's a great show without the proper payoff...

This is probably the worst anime I have ever seen. I've read quite a few mangas and manhwas that revolve around villainesses/nobility and this employs so many cliches from them. There's no logic, the animation is cheap. Battles are stiff and unsatisfying. Characters are annoying. Mechas and magic feel tacked on with no real use. Why'd you adapt this ENGI when there's a plethora of similar better stories out there?

No game no life peaks in its first episode and then it's all downhill from there. To illustrate genius intellect its writing isn't smart but cheap. From cheating to magic games there's never any real strategy involved, that'll make you audibly gasp, holy shit. It won't win any awards, but I guess that's fine. However, combined with the inherently awful part of anime, fan service/ecchi. It ends up a tedious and boring mess that'll feel like your skin's being slowly scrapped away. Otherwise, it's a mildly entertaining show.

So few animes are able to capture all-out warfare so elegantly. Drifters is gripping, beautiful and action-packed. Truly a must-watch.

Dropped at episode 10. Honestly, I can't get myself to finish it. I think the reviews here don't do it justice. Super crooks is entertaining and worth a watch, doubly so if you've watched or read Jupiter's legacy. What I enjoyed the most is that it's an adaptation of an American comic book and so, it's strikingly different to your typical anime. But when it comes to characters it's one step forward, two steps backwards. The protagonist is like an addict having become sober for a few years going back to their precious drugs. Mild spoiler warning. It starts off very well, and though the main conflict is based on dumb motivations, I can still get invested in good character work, plot and action. Unfortunately, after a few episodes Aldnoah.Zero begins its descent into the chaos of being absolutely braindead. We've already made everything worse with our explanations of how things came to be, our protagonist has started to act reckless because of "love" and there are plot holes everywhere. Gurren Lagann isn't a show that can be rated with numbers. Though I for the most part did not enjoy Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I firmly believe you should at least try it. Style oozes out of every frame, character and background. But as a result, I think the story suffers tremendously until the end. It's complicated bland and boring, especially the first part. The characters are mostly one note and the majority only have a couple of lines. That is until the second part. Ultimately Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is fine. But when considered the best anime of all time, a masterpiece, it doesn't hold up. It's a complete slog to get through, you could easily shave off at least twenty episodes and you'd be all the better for it. Fullmetal's greatest strength is its characters, yet its villains are some of the worst from animes I've watched. Code Geass, season 2, amazing yet frustrating. If you've made it this far, watch it.

Code Geass, is great on paper and most of the show is good. Yet it has some of worst characters in anime, decisions that are so dumb it baffles me and some logic that can either be smart or as flimsy as paper.

Jujutsu Kaisen is pretty and it's got a serviceable story. Overall, it's decent entertainment.

Overlord 4 is underwhelming, though it does retain the charm of its previous seasons. With an evident lack of meaningful action scenes and logic nowhere to be found, I'm not sure if Overlord 4 is worth your time.

I'm a big fan of the game. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners delivered on fronts. It's a gritty and depressing look at what goes on in night city. The action is astonishingly good, animated by trigger the studio behind classics like Kill la kill, they did a really good job. Edgerunners is really faithful to the game, from locations, characters, UI, and sounds, it's truly amazing to see the world of cyberpunk 2077 animated for our televisions. The story and characters are on par with the actual game, you cannot skip this one. 

I really like spy x family, it's charming, funny, well animated and fun for everyone. But there's so much filler that it becomes frustrating, especially when the story barely progresses in twelve episodes. I love the characters, especially Anya she's the heart of the show, mischievous and adorable. Loid is also great at the spy trying to be a dad, unfortunately, I feel he has an overwhelming amount of screen time especially compared to Yor, who is in my opinion, completely underdeveloped, we know more about her brother than her. It's hilarious from start to end. Character dynamics are great. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that the animation is severely lacking it'd be up there as one of the greats. 

Another masterpiece. This show is unilaterally art of the highest order. Joking aside, it's a really fun watch. It's as good as season 1. I hope they do more cross overs in the future.

Isekai Quartet lets us peer into what could be. This show proves cross over between isekais shouldn't just be left to a spin-off, but should be integrated into the full-fledged series. This is also the culmination of the isekai genre. It is unashamedly a masterpiece and a must-watch for any so-called Isekai enthusiast.

Sword Art Online has the worst fucking villains, it's infuriating. Alicization like season 2 feels tact on with some shitass tape. But It is an improvement over the first two seasons. This time they aren't forcing a romance subplot down our throats when there's already someone he loves. And thank god it's one continuous story and not one good "arc" surrounded by god-awful filler. Everything else is either average or above average. 

I saw it when it originally came out so my opinions are from what I remember. I'm a fan of star wars, it's probably my favourite IP. I know it's supposed to be non-cannon, but going in space without something that lets you breathe in it is a big no-no. Visions is made by a bunch of studios who know nothing about Star Wars. It's like they were given a surface level explanation of the world and then given free reigns to do whatever they wanted. That just doesn't sit well with me.
